Chapter 418: You Old Woman, Go Die Quickly

YOYO Magazine Office,

Editor-in-Chief Shi Yan, nearly fifty years old,

frowned tightly as she looked at the project proposal Gu Xiaojun had handed her,

after a few minutes passed,

Shi Yan closed the folder,

then looked at Gu Xiaojun and asked, "Gu Xiaojun, do you think the Fashion Department can no longer contain you? You think you should be Editor-in-Chief, is that it?"

Hearing this, Gu Xiaojun,

Qianxun Novel Group: 554707555,

said somewhat perplexed, "Editor Shi, what do you mean by that? I just want to help our magazine transform and upgrade as quickly as possible, to let our magazine survive."

"Is that so?"

Shi Yan chuckled, "Gu Xiaojun, whether our magazine can survive or not has nothing to do with you, right?"

"Besides, you're just a small section editor; how could you possibly turn the tide, bring the dead back to life? What a joke!"

"Let me tell you, Gu Xiaojun."

"As long as I, Shi Yan, remain in this Editor-in-Chief position for one more day, you will never be able to turn the tables! As for these short drama projects and whatever else, I will absolutely not approve them!"

"Furthermore, our magazine is doing just fine; it won't die. Even after I retire in two years, it will still be here!"

Shi Yan spoke with high-sounding words on the surface,

09 but actually harbored her own selfish motives behind the scenes.

Shi Yan is forty-eight years old this year; she can retire in two more years,

having entered YOYO Magazine in her thirties,

climbing step by step from the lowest-level director to the position of Editor-in-Chief, she actually paid a great price,

of course,

she also gained a lot,

putting aside everything else,

just the highest-tier social security she had the magazine pay for herself after becoming Editor-in-Chief using her authority,

is enough to let her live a rich and flavorful life after retirement two years from now.

Although now,

YOYO Magazine is already struggling to move forward,

if it does not transform, it might really only be able to hold on for another year or two,

but,

this has absolutely nothing to do with an old woman like her who is about to retire.

Before,

Shi Yan had calculated the accounts,

relying on YOYO Magazine's current cash reserves and subscription stock,

it was enough to support her until retirement,

and now,

YOYO Magazine has been suddenly acquired by someone, and several million in cash flow has even been injected,

these funds can make the magazine hold on for another year and a half or so,

anyway,

as long as she can retire smoothly,

whether the magazine still exists or not has nothing to do with her at all!

But,

if anyone dares to use various excuses and under various names to touch the magazine's and her, Shi Yan's, pension money,

that is opposing her, Shi Yan,

she will absolutely not agree to anyone doing such a thing!

Especially since the one proposing this project,

is Gu Xiaojun, whom she has always disliked,

then it is even more impossible to agree,

so,

Shi Yan directly, right in front of Gu Xiaojun,

took Gu Xiaojun's project proposal out of the folder,
