Chapter 589

They could only lock Jiang Lai in a private ward for now and wait until she sobered up.

After asking Qin Yumo and Gu Xiaojun, Gao Qilan called Qin Feng while the early shift was still on duty, asking him to come to the hospital as soon as possible to resolve this issue.

At this moment,

the medical equipment company's technician had arrived,

shut down the equipment, removed various components, and began assessing the damage,

then,

the technician's preliminary assessment shocked everyone,

including parking, repair, and parts maintenance costs,

the total came to around eleven million yuan,

this price made even the seasoned veteran police officer gasp.

But,

there was truly no way around it,

the hospital had surveillance footage, and there were 5.9 eyewitnesses,

Jiang Lai could not escape the charge of damaging expensive public facilities,

so,

the veteran police officer could only temporarily calm the hospital staff,

then come to talk with Jiang Lai about how to handle this matter.

At this moment,

seeing Jiang Lai's eyes finally clear somewhat,

the veteran police officer sighed,

then said: "Miss, if I'd known you'd be this reckless, I never would've given you that signal—this matter is partly my fault."

"But Miss, you've caused too much trouble this time—you broke the hospital's MRI machine, and they say repairing it will cost eleven million yuan…"

"Here's what I can do: I'm just a cop, I don't have much money—I'll give you two hundred thousand myself, and try to get the station to help you raise a few more hundred thousand…"

"As for the remaining ten million or so, Miss, do you have any way to handle that?"
