Chapter 231: Ignite the War!
On the other side of Blue Star.
The United States, the secret core territory of the Adams family.
It was a massive black ancient castle built on the edge of an active volcano.
The sky was perpetually shrouded in volcanic ash.
Deep within the castle.
The doors of the highest-level elder meeting room slid open to either side.
One after another, senior members of the Adams family stepped out of the meeting room.
Carter walked among them with a gloomy expression.
As soon as he stepped out, he headed in one direction.
There, a blond youth leaned casually against a stone pillar in the corridor.
The youth radiated an air of absolute confidence.
This man was Arthur Adams, the undisputed prodigy leader of this generation of the Adams family.
"Uncle Carter, done with the meeting?"
Arthur's face broke into a casual smile.
"Mm."
Carter nodded, his gloom slightly lessening, "Arthur, why aren't you back? Waiting for me?"
Arthur shrugged, his expression utterly nonchalant.
"Of course. Dragon Country has made such a huge splash lately—I'm dying to know what's going on."
"Did the elders reach any conclusions?"
Carter snorted at the question.
The elders unanimously believe Dragon Country's astonishing clearance record is most likely due to an extremely unique "dungeon-specialized support class."
This class can probably see through dungeon loopholes—or even forcibly create nonexistent ones—to drastically shorten clearance time.
"Dungeon-specialized class?"
Arthur paused, then sneered:
"So that's it… no wonder they achieved such a monstrous record."
"Just exploiting a special mechanic to cheat. I thought they'd actually produced some world-shattering monster."
But then.
Arthur's gaze sharpened.
"Uncle Carter."
"If Dragon Country truly has such a class, it's not good news for us."
Dungeon records have always been a nation's face.
They are the absolute symbol of national power.
As the two superpowers of Blue Star, the United States and Dragon Country have long divided most of the world's Hell-level dungeon records between them.
But with the emergence of this special class,
the balance…
has been shattered.
"If we allow this special class to grow unchecked…"
Arthur said coldly:
"The dungeon records we hold will eventually all fall into Dragon Country's hands."
"And once they set such an extreme record, no one in future generations will ever break it."
"At that point, our global prestige will vanish completely."
"Hmph."
Carter snorted:
"Correct. This is currently the greatest threat."
"In the upcoming Ten Thousand Nations Battlefield, the other seven nations matched with Dragon Country in the same zone all have deep ties to us."
"Ying Country, Great Han Country, Tianzhu Country…"
Hearing this,
Arthur's eyes lit up.
"So…"
"The elders' plan is to issue a direct order for these seven nations to unite and slaughter Dragon Country's Dragon Order Class in the Ten Thousand Nations Battlefield?"
"Bullshit!"
Carter's face turned grim.
His eyes brimmed with fury and frustration:
"That's exactly what I proposed in the meeting."
"But those old bastards outright rejected my proposal."
"Why?"
Arthur frowned.
Carter sneered, his tone dripping with contempt for the elder council.
"Those stubborn old fools say if we openly organize a seven-nation alliance targeting Dragon Country alone, it's equivalent to tearing up all pretenses."
Upon hearing this, Arthur laughed as if he'd just heard the greatest joke.
"Tear up pretenses? Break the rules?"
"Hahahaha…"
"Do we even care about tearing up pretenses with Dragon Country?"
"How many of their prodigies have we killed in the Ten Thousand Nations Battlefield over the years? How many of ours have they killed?"
"We've all long understood the unspoken rules—why pretend to care about surface-level face?"
Carter sighed, shaking his head.
"Isn't that the truth?"
"But those old bastards call it an unwritten rule."
"Once you enter the Ten Thousand Nations Battlefield, everyone fights for themselves—life or death, no questions asked. Even if the battlefield runs red with blood, it's still the prodigies' own affair."
"But if we intervene, forcibly uniting seven nations to target Dragon Country, that's an entirely different matter."
"If this gets exposed, it's an outright declaration of total war against Dragon Country."
After hearing this explanation,
Arthur spat in irritation.
"A bunch of cowardly old wastes."
"What a shame…"
Arthur clenched his fists, his eyes blazing with fierce battle lust.
"What a shame we weren't matched in the same zone as Dragon Country this time."
"Otherwise, I, Arthur, alone could wipe out the entire Dragon Order Class!"
Watching Arthur's commanding stance,
Carter's eyes flickered with pride.
He had absolute confidence in Arthur's strength.
"Arthur, I know your strength well—if we were in the same zone, Dragon Country's Dragon Order Class wouldn't survive to leave the Ten Thousand Nations Battlefield."
"But…"
Carter changed tone.
"Thanks to my insistence, the elders have relented slightly."
"What do you mean?"
Arthur's interest stirred.
Carter's lips curled into a cruel smile:
"If Dragon Country dares to touch any of the Adams family's dungeon records…"
"It's an insult to us!"
"Then to hell with the unwritten rules! To hell with pretenses!"
"The elder council will immediately issue the highest-level secret order!"
"Unite the seven nations, spare no cost, and ensure Dragon Country's Dragon Order Class never walks out of the Ten Thousand Nations Battlefield!"
Hearing Carter's words,
"Hahahahaha!"
Arthur burst into wild laughter.
His eyes overflowed with boundless battle lust.
"Uncle Carter, now that you say that, I'm practically begging for Dragon Country's idiots to go after our records tomorrow."
"We've had too long of peace…"
"Blue Star doesn't need so many nations."
Looking at Arthur's fanatical expression.
Carter also laughed.
"Yes."
"I've long despised those Easterners."
"Break it, break all the records…"
"Then, ignite the war!"
The two exchanged a smile.
That smile carried a chilling, bloody edge.
It was the madness and bloodlust unique to fanatical warriors.
To them,
the entire Blue Planet could have only one voice: that of the Adams family.
