Chapter 33: Could Mo

~6 min read 1,131 words

Jianghai City, the Lin family’s grand villa.

The night was deep, yet the estate was brightly lit.

A luxury convoy slowly entered the carved main gate and came to a steady stop before the fountain in front of the main villa.

As soon as the car doors opened, the maids lined up on both sides bowed in unison:

“Welcome home, Young Master! Young Master, you’ve worked hard!”

As Lin Mo stepped one leg out of the car, his mother Su Wan hurried forward.

“Mo’er!”

Su Wan wore casual home clothes, yet her elegant and noble aura still shone through.

She grabbed Lin Mo’s hand, looked at his messy hair, and her eyes instantly reddened:

“Oh dear, look at you, all dusty and grimy—what a hardship you’ve endured…”

“Mom, I’m fine, just a bit tired.”

Lin Mo smiled and let his mother hold his hand.

“Good, good, as long as you’re fine.”

Su Wan gently patted Lin Mo’s hand, not wasting time with more words:

“The chefs are still preparing the meal—go take a bath and get a massage to relax, then eat comfortably.”

“Got it, Mom.”

Lin Mo nodded, turned, and waved to Ye Hongyu, who had just stepped out of the car: “Ye Jie, you should rest too.”

“Yes, Young Master.”

Ye Hongyu bowed in response.

Watching Lin Mo leave, Su Wan turned and grabbed Ye Hongyu’s arm.

“Hongyu, come with me—tell me what happened to Mo’er today. How did he get so disheveled, his hair all messed up?”

Su Wan’s voice was gentle.

Ye Hongyu bowed slightly:

“Lady, Young Master’s experiences today… were astonishing. I think Commander should hear this too.”

Su Wan paused in surprise, then nodded:

“Alright, Lao Lin is in the study. Let’s go.”

On the second floor, Lin Mo’s private bathroom.

Steam rose gently from the center of the bath.

“Whew—so comfortable.”

Lin Mo leaned against the tub’s edge and let out a long, satisfied sigh.

“Young Master, is the water temperature alright?”

Two young maids had already been waiting nearby.

“Mm, perfect. This temperature is just right.”

Lin Mo closed his eyes and let his hands rest loosely.

The two maids picked up towels and began wiping his body.

“Young Master, you’ve worked hard today—your muscles are all stiff. Let us give you a proper massage.”

“Mm~”

Lin Mo responded casually.

This was the kind of treatment a transmigrator deserved—fighting and killing, all for moments like this.

Yet such luxury was nothing new to Lin Mo—he’d been born with a silver spoon in his mouth.

After soaking for a while, Lin Mo felt his fatigue ease, and he reached into the pocket of his clothes by the tub, pulling out several red Chinese banknotes.

“Here, consider this a tip—go buy some snacks.”

The two maids’ eyes lit up instantly.

“Thank you, Young Master! You’re so kind~”

Then, they exchanged glances and smiled sweetly:

“Young Master, you look exhausted today. Shall we go to the massage room next? We’ve recently mastered a new technique called ‘Da Yu Controls the Floods’… it’ll definitely make you feel relaxed.”

Lin Mo raised an eyebrow and opened one eye.

Da Yu Controls the Floods?

What the hell is that?

“I’d like to see just how impressive it is.”

Lin Mo stood up from the water, letting the maids wrap him in a bathrobe.

Meanwhile, on the first floor, in the study, the atmosphere was heavy with shock.

After listening to Ye Hongyu’s report, the study fell into a brief silence.

Lin Tianhao sat behind the large desk, took a deep drag on a cigar that had already gone out, then realized it was dead and tossed it aside.

“So… Mo’er is already Level 17?”

Lin Tianhao lit another cigar, trying to calm himself.

For an ordinary practitioner, leveling up to 17 in three days was unthinkable.

But for the Lin family, this wasn’t even surprising.

The real shock was Lin Mo’s comprehension.

Su Wan stared in disbelief, counting on her fingers:

“Mo’er is just too extreme… it’s been less than three days, and he’s already mastered Fire: [Multiple Exploding Fireballs], [Blazing Spiral Dragon Bullet], Earth: [Earth Flow Wall], [Earth Submersion]…”

As she counted, her astonishment grew, “He even unlocked the combined technique—[Lava Battle Armor]… that’s a legendary skill, combining offense and defense, usable for a long time!”

Ye Hongyu, standing in the center of the study, said nothing—but she was just as stunned.

Even as a firsthand witness, reviewing Lin Mo’s entire day’s events again left her trembling with awe.

She knew exactly what this meant.

In three days, even an S-rank genius could master at most three skills.

But Lin Mo?

Four skills—and one dual-element combination technique!

This wasn’t just SSS-rank talent… it was far beyond SSS-rank!

Lin Tianhao exhaled a thick smoke ring and sighed:

“He’s almost at Level 20… he’ll be able to learn another new basic skill soon.”

In this world, practitioners gained a new basic skill every ten levels.

Usually, mages, limited by elemental affinity, specialized in one element, and each new skill at every ten levels offered little real improvement.

But Lin Mo was different—he had no elemental affinity, yet his mastery and application of Fire and Earth elements already surpassed countless geniuses.

Lin Tianhao looked at Su Wan, his voice filled with anticipation:

“He’s already turned Fire and Earth into art.”

“Now he’s about to learn his third skill—wife, do you think Mo’er can keep going like this?”

Su Wan froze, then instinctively protested:

“No… impossible. Mo’er excelling in Fire and Earth is already a gift from heaven.”

“Could he possibly be a triple-element genius?”

“Wife, you’ve forgotten the most important point.”

Lin Tianhao interrupted her, exhaling smoke, “Mo’er is a ‘blank slate’ mage—he has no elemental affinity.”

Hearing this, Su Wan finally understood.

Of course—if he could master Fire and Earth without affinity, then he could master every other element too!

Su Wan’s breathing quickened:

“Lao Lin… you don’t think… Mo’er could become a Full-Element Law God? This—this—this is unprecedented, isn’t it?!”

Ye Hongyu stood beside them, listening to the two elders’ analysis, her scalp prickling.

A Full-Element Law God?

Such a thing had never existed in this world.

The most powerful mage ever recorded was only a triple-element Law God, and even one of those elements was merely mid-to-high level.

Su Wan steadied herself and spoke:

“Lao Lin, let Mo’er choose which element to learn for his third skill.”

“For a genius like him, we shouldn’t restrict him—just offer our support.”

“Wife is right!”

Lin Tianhao nodded in agreement.

“Alright, time’s up—the food should be ready.”

Su Wan stood, smoothing her dress: “Hongyu, go call Young Master down for dinner. He’s been through a long day—he must be starving.”

“Yes, Lady.”

Ye Hongyu turned and left the study.
