I know the late-stage hiatus of my previous book hurt you deeply, and though I later resumed and completed it, the damage was done.

The long break in between was truly poorly handled. I won’t make excuses—the fact remains as it is.

Words are hollow anyway. Let me act instead.

I won’t compete for monthly votes, and I won’t ask you for them anymore.

(The plea for monthly votes under each chapter is just a New Year’s tradition—just for show.)

What I mean to say is, for this book, I no longer ask for your support on the monthly vote chart.

Given my poor update record in the later stages of my last book, I myself don’t feel I deserve them.]

Jokes are fine, but if you really treat it like that, I can’t keep writing.

Because if the data is bad, Qidian will force the author to end the novel early.

Qidian’s rules have changed—everything now depends on data, even recommendation resources.

Bad data means no resources—even for Platinum authors.

Bad data means early ending—even for Platinum authors.

Big data decides everything; editors have very little authority.

So if you hoard and don’t read, the book gets no data.

No data means no resources, and the platform may force me to end it early.
