Chapter 237: Special Ammunition
1971.
The Original Insect had just arrived on Earth not long ago, and had begun cooperating with humanity, and they had jointly determined some detailed cooperation measures for combating the Alien Insects.
This year was also the time when Rixia Bu Zongyi and Jiahemei Lu had just joined the initial ZECT.
Late at night, in the ZECT located in the prosperous area of Tokyo, Jiahemei Lu, who had just joined ZECT, was working.
As a talent recruited by ZECT, he quickly participated with his companion Rixia Bu Zongyi in the research on the Kamen Rider Plan.
However, today seemed a bit different.
Just moments ago the night was still, when suddenly thunder and lightning erupted, and silver-white electric arcs continually darted through the dark clouds.
Within a few dozen seconds, the originally clear night sky was completely covered by rolling dark clouds, and a heavy rain poured down.
The moonlight disappeared completely, and it seemed that only one room in the ZECT headquarters remained lit. Jiahemei Lu saved the relevant data, then shut down the computer; working in the torrential rain late at night seemed like a bad idea.
He turned his head to glance at the weather outside the window, wanting to see how he could get home without ending up soaked to the skin.
It was just that glance that caused his pupils to contract unnaturally.
He saw a man with wings, resembling an insect, looking at him from outside the window.
Jiahemei Lu's reaction was purely instinctive; he lunged forward, opened the window, ignoring the raging storm, and reached his hand out toward the outside.
Jiahemei Lu wanted to touch it; his first reaction was not fear but curiosity. Since learning of the existence of the Original Insect, he had been unusually curious about these extraterrestrial beings, and that was why he had joined ZECT.
That blinding lightning struck down directly from the dark clouds, emitting a thunderous roar, then vanished, as if it were his hallucination.
This, the lights inside the room seemed to have malfunctioned, flickering out in the electric sparks; only the lightning outside could faintly illuminate Jiahemei Lu's dejected expression.
He was now soaked through, and his mood felt like the heavy rain in the Tokyo Region, becoming especially low.
Jiahemei Lu would use the light to close the window properly.
Wait, where is this light coming from?
He suddenly realized, turned his head to look back, and Jiahemei Lu could hardly believe his eyes: it was not a winged insect-like creature, but a knight that closely matched his vision of the Kamen Rider Plan.
But this was utterly impossible, and before he could speak,
Haipa Jia Dou's hand instantly emitted a strange energy wave, directly enveloping his body.
Jiang Xia looked at Jiahemei Lu before him, sealing some information into his mind—not only the list of Kamen Riders 35 years later, but also all more important information.
These things were hidden in his memory; each time the Kamen Rider Plan completed a stage, the memory would unlock more. This information could not be obtained by mimicry, because Jiang Xia had infused his own power into it.
"Haipa... Jia Dou?"
The young Jiahemei Lu gazed at the scarlet, armor-clad knight, slowly uttered a few words, then fainted.
"Traveling across thirty-five years actually consumes so much power."
Haipa Jia Dou vanished in the next flash of electric light.
Shibuya.
This is where everything began, yet it is so quiet; the dust-covered ground is littered with brown-yellow leaves, as if it had endured an extremely long time.
Haipa Jia Dou's body burst out of a green light curtain, his feet stepping on leaves and making creaking sounds; his armor dissolved in a flash of white light, revealing Jiang Xia's body covered in bloodstains.
The blood had actually stopped flowing long ago, but the fresh red that had once flowed and the now-tattered clothes proved that this battle had taken place in the past.
Jiang Xia walked along the stairs; the abyss-like darkness did not hinder him in the slightest, until he opened the great door, the originally dark underground gradually revealed light, and several streams of light shot out from his body.
The originally quiet kindergarten again became noisy, but this time Jiang Xia did not join them in their ruckus, because he was now utterly exhausted and had no energy to attend to anything else.
His laboratory remained exactly as it was when he left, with no difference.
Jiang Xia quietly sat in his chair, leaning back, and slowly closed his eyes.
The surroundings fell silent once more; the previously bustling insect devices also seemed to sense something, and followed him gradually into slumber.
He slightly opened his eyes; at this moment the outside sky was already bright, and the underground base originally located beneath the ground seemed to have been bathed in sunlight.
Jiang Xia discovered that a blanket had been added to his body; he casually pulled it open and draped it over a nearby chair.
He also cleaned his blood-stained body and changed into a fresh set of clothes.
The sun hanging in the sky ultimately makes one feel the breath of life, just as it feels wonderful to still be alive.
"Welcome back." Rixia Bu Xi smiled faintly and gently embraced Jiang Xia.
"Mm."
A breeze blew outside the window; the white curtains swayed quickly in the draft, the sunlight outside was just right, and through the curtains one could faintly see the intertwined silhouettes of people.
……
Ant soldiers gathered together, filling their weapons with some special medicine.
It is a special liquid; as long as it is sprayed onto the body of a person mimicking an Alien Insect, the Alien Insect is forced to drop its mimicry and reveal its true form.
They were merely testing this special ammunition; if it truly succeeded, it would change the current state of humanity's war against the Alien Insects.
Plop.
The blue medicine-filled container instantly shot out from the ant soldier's barrel, turning into a sky-filling white mist that merged into the air.
As the medicine broke apart, the concentration of those in the air called AntiMimic (Mimicry Suppress) also gradually rose.
Several female students wearing skirts on the square, after smelling this medicine, involuntarily bent over and began to cough; when they lifted their heads again, they had already reverted to the original form of Alien Insect larvae.
"Experiment successful, begin extermination."
"Understood."
Kagami came down from the distant spiral staircase wearing earphones.
With a wave of his hand, the Steel Bucket Insect Instrument instantly launched several Alien Insect larvae into the air.
He is now hailed as the strongest knight of the War God, indispensable in the fight against the Alien Insects.
"henshin (transformation)"
Blue steel armor instantly covered his whole body, with two heavy cannons still mounted on his shoulders.
Such equipment lives up to the War God system; just a few shells instantly blasted those few Alien Insects into fragments.
"This mission is really easy." Kagami said, looking at the burning green flame.
"Kagami, watch your back—there's an adult Alien Insect!" JiaYouYue's voice came over the earpiece.
With a crack, a purple, blade-like exoskeleton slashed directly into Kagami's body.
Kagami screamed as his whole body was violently blown away; the armor of Steel Bucket in its masked form still emitted white smoke, showing how powerful the blow was.
"It really smells terrible." An Alien Insect covered head to toe in purple armor slowly reverted to human form.
That was a man leaning on a cane, dressed in a black robe; just then, several women in black clothing with veils appeared behind him, like an army.
"You're Steel Bucket, huh? You look just like the queen's intel said." He muttered, looking at the Steel Bucket insect device attached to Kagami's waist.
