Chapter 24: Timeline
"What does it mean, the violin that only I can make?" Hong Du frowned.
He looked at the half-finished violin in his hands, bewildered, and said.
Now Dacun Wunan has also disappeared from Hong Du's life, never to appear again.
This left Hong Du wanting to continue asking for guidance, but unable to contact anyone.
And Hong Du, looking at the material in his hands that had been scraped into ruin, instantly felt a surge of irritation.
He directly tossed the half-finished product into the nearby trash can.
Bored and listless, Hong Du walked onto the street, constantly wondering why Mr. Dacun had suddenly left without a word.
A sudden clamor rang in Hong Du's ears—it came from a wide road not far away.
A thirty‑something man in a brown coat, with darker skin, black hair and brown eyes, was continually fleeing forward, as if someone were chasing him.
But as time went on, Jiang Xia's influence over Asou Yuri grew ever stronger.
Helping his parents fight the bat‑tooth vampires and reclaim the Great Fang.
Meanwhile, Dacun Wunan felt his back loosen, and then saw Hong Du in front of him trying to help him up from the ground.
"By the way, who is it that Mr. Nago has caught?" Hong Du stood on tiptoe, craning his neck to get a clear look at the culprit.
Until that night, when history's tipping point had been reached.
Causing the king who should have died in the past to survive straight into the present.
Originally, the timeline of the Kiva world was a perfect closed loop.
Saying this, he pulled out the rope he carried, bound Dacun Wunan's hands behind his back, and secured them tightly.
If this continued, Asou Yuri would never have any contact with Ci Lang or Hong Yin Ye, let alone join the Supreme Blue Sky Society, completely altering their life paths.
Jiang Xia looked at the Kival on his shoulder and said.
With Jiang Xia's presence, Ci Lang and Hong Yin Ye would never become close friends.
But Hong Du did not rush forward to help; he simply stayed where he was.
He feared that if he interfered he would only hinder Nago and end up being seized and used as leverage against Mr. Nago.
"That's Mr. Dacun!" a voice of surprise and doubt rang from Hong Du's lips, accompanied by the sound of running.
Police arrived in succession and smoothly placed the unconscious Dacun Wunan into a patrol car.
But his slightly ferocious expression ruined his otherwise refined demeanor.
Hong Du shoved Nago Qijie off Dacun Wunan's body, then pushed Nago Qijie so he staggered.
Now Jiang Xia understands why he originally traveled from 1986 to 2008.
Originally, when he time‑traveled he was just an ordinary person, unable to affect the 1986 protagonists much.
Nago, suave, said to the officer who was acting as a porter.
"All right, Mr. Nago, we'll do it."
Against the tooth‑blood vampires he could become Kiva, but when facing a human fugitive Hong Du could not muster the attack of an ordinary person.
To stabilize the timeline, they simply dumped Jiang Xia, the troublemaker, into 2008.
"The only way for Hong Du to grow quickly is to let him experience many things rapidly, so his potential can be unleashed."
The watching Hong Du didn't linger, running along the roadside in pursuit of Nago Qijie.
Directly behind him was a young man in his twenties, with a sallow complexion and black pupils.
His hair was jet black and slightly wavy; he wore a white shirt and black suit, giving him a slightly scholarly air.
"We have to be careful this time not to cause a spatio‑temporal mess—if something goes wrong, neither timeline will be saved."
Dacun Wunan strained to suppress the urge to become a tooth‑blood vampire.
But Jiang Xia, the troublemaker, simply made Hong Du disappear.
This caused the 1986 timeline to collapse outright, the closed loop shattered, and both timelines became unstable.
Seeing this, Dacun Wunan also decided to just faint, collapsing straight onto Hong Du.
Using ordinary human strength, he struggled fiercely in Nago Qijie's grip, but could not break free.
Zhenye and Hong Yin Ye gave birth to Hong Du, and then the future Hong Du time‑traveled back to before his own birth.
Nago Qijie looked gravely at the still‑seated Hong Du and said, "Now can you tell me why you're helping him?"
The tooth‑blood vampires reached their peak, and human civilization collapsed miserably.
"Mr. Dacun is a fugitive—how can this be?" Hong Du sat stunned, unable to speak.
Meanwhile, Nago Qijie took the opportunity to yank off the button on Dacun Wunan's cuff.
"Mr. Nago is catching fugitives again, huh?" Hong Du watched Nago Qijie making the arrest, saying this with slight surprise.
"It looks like this matter hit Hong Du pretty hard, huh? What do you think, Kival?"
No one expected Hong Du to show up here suddenly; good thing he pretended to faint, otherwise his questions would have been hard to answer.
Nago Qijie used both hands to lock Dacun Wunan's neck from behind, intending to press him straight to the ground.
The nearby officer's jaw dropped—he had just verified that this was a major criminal who had evaded capture for nearly twenty years; this time he'd surely get a promotion and raise.
Likewise, they shoved Hong Du to the ground and asked, "Do you know who he is? A repeat violent offender who's been on the run for years—why are you helping him?"
Nago Qijie stared fixedly at the man ahead, and the distance between them kept shrinking.
"Mr. Dacun, Mr. Dacun." Seeing Dacun Wunan unconscious in his arms, Hong Du panicked, shaking his body repeatedly in an attempt to wake him.
As long as he played the part well, he could leave—until, just as everything was going his way, an accident occurred.
Let the past timeline remain basically stable.
And after Hong Yin Ye and Zhenye were together, the furious King used Delan Castle to suck the life out of Hong Yin Ye, leaving her no chance even to become Dark Kiva.
"What the hell are you doing!" Nago Qijie sprang up from the ground and confronted Hong Du.
His constantly tense body suddenly relaxed, and he lay easy‑going in the police car.
And only then did Jiang Xia realize that the few words he had said to Asou Yuri back then would actually cause such a huge disaster later.
Dark Kiva landed on Jiang Xia's shoulder and replied.
He never expected someone to suddenly appear behind him and push him.
"Serial assailant, Dacun Wunan, you won't escape from my hands."
Without Hong Du's help, it's almost impossible to defeat the King of Fang Vampires.
Jiang Xia had his hands in his pockets, watching the retreating backs of Hong Du and Minghu.
"Remember to transfer the money into this account and donate it to the welfare institute for me."
He had many questions he wanted to ask: why did they leave without saying goodbye, why did they suddenly become a fugitive.
Dacun Wunan, lying on the stretcher, heard that his bounty was going to be donated, and he instantly breathed a sigh of relief.
According to his personality back then, he basically didn't even have the courage to face the King of Fang Vampires, let alone make up his mind to use Dark Kiva.
"Hmm." Hong Du stood up, looking at the serious Minghu, and nodded timidly.
Now Jiang Xia finally understood why his mission was to kill the King of Fang Vampires.
No matter what, this guy has to die in 1986.
