Chapter 387

One day later, Heavenly River High School, Jade Rabbit Cabin.

Jiang Xia, who was adjusting the Universe Switch, suddenly received a strange text message.

The pale blue call interface automatically opened, taking up the entire screen.

"Professor Tachibana, contacting me now means another of the Twelve Constellations has appeared?"

Jiang Xia lifted his hands from the keyboard, leaned back in his chair, and silently watched the mechanical face that filled the screen.

"Well, there is this reason: Aries has already caused a big disturbance at Angxing High School; his true identity is that of an exchange student swapped with Meteor."

Tachibana, or rather Jiang Ben, faced the camera and, with an altered tone, unhesitatingly betrayed my hope for light.

He should have notified immediately upon learning the situation, but now Libra's Laplace's Eye can already sense the Constellation Switch's location, so he postponed it.

Speaking of which, he's still taking the blame for Jiang Xia; Libra has been trying to find that person who almost killed him, someone with multiple forms whom the chairman called a comrade.

Under the humiliation of repeated defeats and jealousy, its ability evolved.

When it awakened and located the other Constellation Switches, Jiang Ben used teleportation to leave Earth for space, and narrowly avoided being discovered by Libra.

That was a huge mistake, but fortunately it didn't lead to disaster.

After all, there are only a few Switches; if your Switch jumps from one place to another, that's still considered normal.

But if you intermittently disappear within the sensing range, and the disappearance times coincide with Kamen Rider's transformations, anyone would notice the anomaly.

Fortunately, we had prior knowledge of Laplace's Eye; now, paying a little attention is enough to avoid it.

"Aries, its ability is to control living beings' bodily functions; I already received definite news before you informed me." Jiang Xia said.

Upon hearing this, Jiang Ben's floating body trembled slightly.

Although he wore an iron mask and wrapped his body tightly, his surprised expression could not be concealed.

Scorpio's undercover efficiency is extremely high; it personally witnessed the moment when Yamada Longshou evolved from Jade Rabbit to Aries, and recorded it.

And those tasked with seeking Libra and Scorpio of the Twelve Constellations have a long-standing teacher-student relationship, trusting each other deeply.

Thus, as soon as the Aries executive awakened, Jiang Xia had already received the news.

"So it's also your person, when?" Jiang Ben asked.

Guessing the answer isn't difficult; there are only a few active people, and after eliminating the impossible, the result is easy to deduce, even if it's equally absurd.

The two who could not possibly betray are Leo and Libra.

He himself betrayed the chairman after waking; Scorpio, by reason, should be impossible to become a traitor.

For these years, it has been disseminating the Constellation Switches at school, diligent and hardworking, a senior figure.

Then why is it Scorpio?

Because different, but the people he now excludes share a common point: they were personally recruited by the chairman.

But Scorpio itself was cultivated by Libra; the sole difference lies here.

"When you first saw me." Jiang Xia crossed his arms, "I merely cleared the influence of cosmic energy from her body; although the cutoff reaction was quite obvious, I ultimately succeeded in turning her."

"If I had met you earlier, that would have been good." Jiang Ben sighed; if he had met Jiang Xia then, he certainly would not have betrayed friendship for power.

"That's not necessarily so."

"Besides informing me of Aries' awakening, you must have other business." Jiang Xia said; after speaking, he didn't hang up, surely there was more to say.

"That's right." He nodded, "This is Meteor's upgraded equipment; please pass it to Meteor."

He pressed that crimson button, becoming an angel who controls gravity; fine, long feathers floated around in the zero-gravity space station, making even an eyewitness feel the scene unreal.

Virgo waved her staff, and a gift box wrapped in pink ribbon appeared out of thin air on the table to Jiang Xia's right.

Inside was the Meteor Storm, the Meteor system's complementary equipment.

Shuotian Meteor is now performing well, and this environment in the Kamen Rider Club has stirred waves in his long-dormant heart; it's time to give this to him, so these youngsters can have the strength to face the final crisis.

"Okay."

Jiang Xia looked at Virgo's current appearance, agreed, hung up the communication, and silently put away the Meteor Storm and Universe Switch in his hand.

It seems both knights' final forms are about to appear.

At this moment, the Jade Rabbit Cabin, aside from Jiang Xia, is already empty.

The formerly bustling scene has become a lifeless, silent base.

They have all left.

After Jiang Xia learned in advance of Aries' birth, he took action.

Fengcheng Meiyu, due to needing to take college exams, has been on leave for a long time, while the other Kamen Rider Club members accompanied Shuotian Meteor to investigate the anomalies at Angxing High School.

After all, that's the Aries Meteor has been seeking; it concerns a friend, so the Kamen Rider Club members certainly cannot shirk responsibility.

In the thick mist of Chengmian, filled with gloom, the gradually rising sun not only failed to dispel the fog within Angxing High School, but made it deeper.

Ruyue Xian Tairan stood before the gate inscribed with the characters 'Angxing', carefully observing this school that was very unfamiliar to him; students in brown uniforms came and went, everything appeared very peaceful.

"Aries is hidden in this school; this time I must definitely get a good grade to show the teacher." Ruyue Xian Tairan wiped his pompadour.

If treating the battle against Star Disciples as an exam, then the last exam's score was that glaring zero; although his grades are poor and he knows nothing about physics and chemistry, he has never before scored zero.

He will never forget what his teachers taught him, and he keeps his responsibilities in mind.

"Aries' ability is drowsiness; although there's nothing around that feels off, we still must stay vigilant."

Shuotian Meteor gazed at his high school campus; his eyes held no hint of warmth at returning to his alma mater, but were full of vigilance and danger, as if this place were a monster's lair.

If he hadn't experienced that dream, he would have simply rushed in blankly and gone straight to find Yamada Longshou.

"Meteor classmate, you're back!" A surprised voice rang in his ears as someone patted his shoulder.

The faint floral scent at his nostrils made him abandon the plan to throw a backward punch; that was the scent of his classmate Bai Chuanmei.

"Meteor, is this your girlfriend?" Ruyue Xian Tairan exclaimed upon seeing this petite, cute girl.

Because they are too close, far beyond the distance of friends or classmates, reaching a relatively intimate range.

"No, Bai Chuanmei is just my classmate." Meteor lowered his head slightly, smiling at the unchanged classmate.

Neat short hair matched with a pink hair clip, the light bangs slightly covering the eyebrows, and a sweet smile on her face made one think of liveliness and confidence, no wonder it's Bai Chuan. "Your answer really disappoints me." Bai Chuan Ya pouted, slightly complaining, "Hey, this is the book you borrowed from me earlier; since you're back, you might as well return it."

Neat short hair matched with a pink hair clip, the light bangs slightly covering the eyebrows, and a sweet smile on her face made one think of liveliness and confidence, no wonder it's Bai Chuan.

Your answer really disappoints me.

Bai Chuan Ya pouted, slightly complaining, "Hey, this is the book you borrowed from me earlier; since you're back, you might as well return it."

We need to keep quotes. We'll output as one line.

Thus translation: Neat short hair matched with a pink hair clip, the light bangs slightly covering the eyebrows, and a sweet smile on her face made one think of liveliness and confidence, no wonder it's Bai Chuan. "Your answer really disappoints me." Bai Chuan Ya pouted, slightly complaining, "Hey, this is the book you borrowed from me earlier; since you're back, you might as well return it."

But we need to keep the Chinese punctuation? We'll use English punctuation.

Speaking, she took out from the small cloth bag on her shoulder, printed with a white cute bear, a book with pictures slightly damaged, and handed it to Shuotian Liuxing.

We need to keep "a book with pictures slightly damaged" as "a book with pictures slightly damaged". Good.

Speaking, she drew from the small cloth bag slung over her shoulder—printed with a white cute bear—a book whose printed pictures were slightly damaged, and handed it to Shuotian Liuxing.

Wait, I don't think I've ever borrowed it..." Shuotian Liuxing took the book, furrowed his brow, about to explain the situation, but then suddenly realized something."

Without Kamen Rider fighting the Star Disciples, Rising Star High could not possibly remain unchanged.

We translated Rising Star High as Rising Star High? Actually we decided to translate as Rising Star High. Let's decide: The glossary didn't include it, but we need to decide if we translate meaning. The rule: For place names that are meaningful, translate. "Rising Star" literal "Rising Star". So we should translate as Rising Star High. However the line later uses Rising Star High many times. If we translate as Rising Star High, we must be consistent. Let's adopt Rising Star High.

Thus line: "Without Kamen Rider fighting the Star Disciples, Rising Star High could not possibly remain unchanged."

Thinking about the chaos caused by Heavenly River, without intervention the school would definitely fall into great chaos, but here nothing happened, which is the biggest anomaly.

Thinking this, Shuotian Liuxing repeatedly corrected himself: "Exactly, I lent it to you; now it's returned to its rightful owner."

Okay, Liuxing, let's meet in the classroom then, bye." Seeing Shuotian Liuxing accept the book, Bai Chuan Ya nodded, satisfied, waved her hand and left.

Liuxing, what's wrong?" Ruyue Xian Tairan asked; after getting along so long in the dream, their rapport had long since changed.

And he could tell that the girl just now was lying, and Liuxing went along with her lie.

Something's not right here." Shuotian Liuxing said quietly.

He turned to ask Ge Xing Xian Wu: "Xianwu, is it possible that the Twelve Constellations, without enemies, never appear, and the unused power just completes evolution?"

Of course not; the evolution of the constellations requires the brightest star to shine, not using power should make evolution impossible, and besides, we're not here, meaning the Star Disciples have no enemies, and few people would refrain from using their power." Ge Xing Xian Wu answered.

This is the problem: Aries is clearly here, yet nothing has changed here, which is already self-contradictory.

I think the answer is in this book." Shuotian Liuxing raised the book in his hand toward the two and quickly flipped it open.

If the hint is in the form of a book, it would be a tucked-in page or directly written in the book, and it's the kind that you see at a glance when flipping quickly; the hint is not a cipher, no need to guess.

Gather intelligence, summarize patterns, find loopholes, then eliminate the enemy.

He was very familiar with this process; thinking of this, his bones seemed to faintly ache again, but only for a moment, since after all it was a false dream.

Indeed there was a problem." Shuotian Liuxing found within seconds the reminder Bai Chuan Ya left for him, written in neat pencil; it should have been written by the girl when she saw Liuxing appear at the school gate, saying only: "Hurry up and run, you'll be hypnotized."

It's Aries; considering its ability, it should be using the drowsiness ability to threaten the students here to achieve control." Ge Xing Xian Wu guessed, looking at that sentence.

Xian Tairan, transform." Shuotian Liuxing looked at Ruyue Xian Tairan.

Hmm." Ruyue Xian Tairan readily agreed.

Even though we didn't even enter the gate of Rising Star High, we chose to hide in the bushes nearby to transform.

And Ge Xing Xian Wu took out his various support fast-food robots; the small mechanical chicken nuggets flew in the air, constantly scouting Rising Star High like drones.

Liuxing, I'll first use the invisibility switch to take a look." Ruyue Xian Tairan put on the switch, his body instantly turned transparent, then prepared to sneak in quietly.

Xian Tairan, first go to Bai Chuan's classroom; Shatian Longshou is most likely there." Shuotian Liuxing said, "If he really is Aries, remember to inform the teacher; I'll handle military support, ensuring no other cadres."

: 「OK。」 -> "OK."

Then what about me and Youmu?

The confused JK and Chengdao Youmu, whose eyes were somewhat rolling, didn't understand a word; they only knew that Rising Star High had a problem and couldn't be entered.

JK, use your talent for making friends to take charge of contacting those classmates, gather intel; Youmu, you're responsible for protecting my safety." Ge Xing Xian Wu said.

..." JK was speechless; this favoritism is a bit too obvious.

But he still accepted it, after all he is also a member of the Kamen Rider Club, and eliminating the Star Disciples is his duty.

The Kamen Rider small team, each doing their duty.

The training seems to have had some effect." Jiang Xia stood on the rooftop of Rising Star High, watching several people assign tasks and make plans at the school gate, nodding satisfactorily.

Then he leaned on the railing, enjoying the leisurely and comfortable breeze.

The invisible Ruyue Xian Tairan was still like a thief, half-crouching in the corridor, quietly grabbing the windowsill, extending his rocket-like head toward the classroom to observe the teacher and classmates' movements.

Found it! Indeed here, exchange student Shatian Longshou." Ruyue Xian Tairan silently cheered.

They're in the same class, of course they know each other.

Meanwhile, a young female teacher with chestnut-length hair stood on the podium, holding a textbook covered in English, lecturing.

Even the struggling Ruyue Xian Tairan could tell that this English teacher's level is not high.

Her pronunciation is practically worse than his; is she really an English teacher? Ruyue Xian Tairan endured this completely off-key English, continuing to observe Shatian Longshou.

Teacher." Shatian Longshou raised his hand.

But even such a simple raising of the hand was like an electric shock, directly making the female teacher on the platform shudder.

What... what's the matter, Wang Shatian classmate?" The teacher's body trembled, very afraid.

Although the teacher didn't finish speaking, Ruyue Xian Tairan heard clearly that the teacher called Wang, and was full of fear and the situation.

And this reaction let Ruyue Xian Tairan confirm that this guy is the Aries Star Disciple; he just didn't know where the Constellation Switch was.

Meanwhile, JK, skilled at extracting information from others' mouths, after constant harassment finally obtained some useful intel.

Can't you stop acting outside the script?" A classmate wearing a white coat that couldn't hide his chubby body said to the JK dancing on the floor and singing with a strained voice, feeling wronged.

They three were originally in the judo club, now forced into the science club; furthermore, it's excessive that they now have to listen to a tone-deaf guy sing rock; they've already suffered this much, why must they endure this mental torment?

You finally agreed to answer me, script, what is a script?" The JK doing the rock move's eyes lit up, charging at him with a hundred-meter sprint speed to ask.

The script is..." The chubby guy with a face full of grievance hadn't finished speaking when a light yellow smoke automatically appeared above his head; in less than a second of inhaling, he closed his eyes tightly, lost control of his body, and fell forward, right onto the unfortunate JK.

That huge body instantly overwhelmed the skinny JK, the whole person pressed against the wall by its broad volume, unable to move.

At that moment, a whistling sound passed through, the sound of a stick slicing the air, and what came along with these things was certainly not something easy to provoke.

Clad in black ninja attire, a Stardust Soldier leapt like a tiger, jumping straight out the window, waving the iron rod in his hand, step by step pressing on the still-conscious people in the room.

Oh no, discovered by the king, we're done for." The remaining two clung to each other, screaming in despair.

However, at the moment the stellar ninja aimed his iron rod at them and swung, it suddenly halted, its black body collapsing in that instant like a sandcastle blown away by the wind.

And the cause of this is only one: the summoner had a problem.

You thief, return the Constellation Switch to me!" Shatian Longshou shouted while desperately chasing, yelling at the person ahead who was leading, his voice full of anger.

Once I got it, it's mine; I've had my eye on this for a long time." After transforming, Ruyue Xian Tai hehe laughed, then instantly accelerated, running wildly down the hallway, still pinching a red Constellation Switch in his hand—exactly the Aries Constellation Switch—but as long as this switch is in his hand, Aries will never appear again, and having this switch he can give it to the teacher to save Erlang; this is simply a perfect win-win solution.
