What’s going on?" Rea asked in a worried tone, her arms grasping the bleeding Kaden.

The event happened so fast and so abruptly that she felt jarred, her thoughts churning in dizzying spirals at the sight of Kaden.

The man was on the floor, his body pale as if devoid of blood. Something that wouldn’t surprise Rea, for the ground beneath them had become a puddle of crimson blood faster than thought.

She was red. And with her grey clothes, she looked like a bride witnessing the murder of her husband on her wedding day. Her arms, legs, and chest all tainted by the blood spluttering out from Kaden.

It was not only that, Kaden’s lips were shaking nonstop, as if caught by cold, his mouth opening and closing in failed attempts to say something.

"I don’t know!" Einar answered, appearing in a small pixie-like version of herself, watching Kaden’s state with frowned eyebrows.

"You need to first calm down, my Rea! Everything happened so fast I barely saw anything." She paused, staring at Rea’s face, then, "And the only thing I noticed before all of this was him looking at the painting!"

"Huh?" Rea’s thoughts halted abruptly, and then reason and calmness began to bathe her mind, making her remember a little bit more clearly the events.

’It’s true,’ she thought, painfully trying to keep the warmth of Kaden’s body, ’he fell after seeing the painting. But why?’

The answer to that question eluded Rea. And seeing the state of Kaden, she knew that she had no time to ponder about it.

Kaden was dying.

That thought sent her heart in a direction she had never imagined.

In a world where she had cut any possible contact with her past and family; deciding it was better to be alone, for going against a goddess was something even she didn’t fully grasp.

In that type of world where she was hollow in every sense of the term, only Kaden was the link to her past.

He was the only one that made her still recall that she had not always been this type of being. One that could kill and torture while enjoying the process.

Besides, she hated to admit it... but Kaden made her feel comfortable.

All of these complex and contradictory thoughts flashed inside her mind, making her dizzy. But all of these thoughts boiled down into one single result...

’I don’t want you to die, Kaden.’ Rea thought, biting her lower lip so hard blood swelled.

She looked deeper at Kaden, seeing black lines slither all over his body. She began to think of a way to help him; to at least keep him alive until a true decision came.

"Blood!" Einar proposed, pulling Rea out of her endless thoughts, "Give him blood and also enhance his body with your fear! It might help!"

The moment these words registered inside her mind, Rea was already acting, even without being aware of it.

A grey dagger with rings at its edge appeared out of one of her rings. With no hesitation in her red eyes, she slashed the veins of her left wrist — she winced — blood gushing out in a cascade, gurgling, foaming.

She rapidly leaned over, forcefully opening Kaden’s mouth and made him drink her blood. At the same time, she enhanced her blood itself, making sure Kaden regenerated.

All of this happened so fast that only after the deed was done did Rea realize what she had done.

Yet she didn’t regret it. She continued to let her blood flow out, not minding the slow weakness creeping into her body.

Clearly, she would not hold for too long.

...

Meanwhile, a whole different kind of situation was unfolding inside Kaden’s mind. He didn’t know what happened or even what was happening, but Prometheus found himself pulled into a kind of strange dream.

He didn’t know why he knew it was a dream. But he knew. And the strange part of it was that it was not his dream.

It was the dream of another being.

"But who?" Kaden said, looking around. He found himself in a ruined battlefield, with blood and gore all over the place.

The stench of ruin and death was so profound that even Kaden found himself reeling, barely able to stop himself from puking his stomach out.

He steeled his eyes, focusing on the current situation. He could feel his body slowly dying, poisoned by whatever was soaking the hell he found himself in.

Divinity, he guessed.

"I need to get out of here," Kaden said, licking his lips slowly, "now how?"

He used his perception, trying to find something that could be a clue. At the same time, he began to walk.

His steps made splashing sounds that echoed eerily around. Sometimes he would step into the heart of a strange beast, and other times he would see corpses so mangled that he needed to avert his eyes from them.

Still, he walked, making sure to keep his perception fully open.

Along the way, he noticed black-skinned corpses of monsters. He subtly frowned, somehow recognizing these monsters.

But then he shook his head and continued.

Kaden didn’t know how much he walked, but soon enough, he realized it was a useless attempt.

The space he was in seemed to turn itself into an infinite circle, as if no matter how much he walked nothing would change and he would go nowhere.

Besides, he could feel something. At the beginning it was vague, but now he was sure.

He was being observed.

And after walking mindlessly for who knows how long, Kaden succeeded in pinpointing the direction of it.

"Fine." Kaden finally relented.

He had tried earlier to use his skills, realizing only blood- and death-related skills would work there. His flame of Prometheus was completely useless.

But he didn’t need Blanche here.

Reditha was more than enough.

He closed his eyes, taking a deep, profound inhale that seemed to suck away all the air around him.

The strange realm around paused, and Kaden’s concentration and focus increased to a ridiculous degree, his head light and hazed.

In that instant, something flashed through his perception. It was brief, too brief even, but Kaden struck down even faster.

Reditha didn’t need to be wielded. She was a being on her own.

So all Kaden needed to do was to share his will and...

CRACK—!

Reditha cracked the skull of a black skeleton.

Kaden opened his eyes again, exhaling at the same time the breath he had caught in his chest.

The steam that escaped his mouth was crimson, tainted with black, and when it touched the air outside,

It was like fire on oil.

A chain of explosions thundered across the field of blood, targeting especially all the skeletons that existed around.

Their number wasten.

And when all of them became nothing but dust, the reality around him began to shimmer like an illusion being cast down.

The sight of the battlefield disappeared like a curtain being pulled away, showing a whole different place.

Kaden found himself in a crimson world, looking in front of him. There, he found one being chained all over his body. The chains were enormous, colored in different shades and glowing with boundless power.

Only the sight of it made Kaden’s left eye bleed.

He cursed, using the little power he was accessing, and looked at the chained being.

The being’s skin was a deep, boundless black, and behind him skeletal wings framed his back.

His head was lowered, but Kaden didn’t need to see his face to recognize him.

The moment he entered this crimson place, something inside of him was shaking.

It was a Trait. A trait he had long forgotten.

[Corrosive Blood is acting.]

Kaden sucked in a deep breath as a voice echoed inside his head,

"Ohohoho! I knew it was you. Oh, Kaden, Kaden, Kaden..."

He raised his head and looked at Kaden with a big, eerie smile,

"You have grown so much, my dear favorite."

Kaden clicked his tongue, lips pressing into a thin line, looking at the chained man with obvious distaste.

"...Nocthar."

—End of Chapter 407—
",1374,"2026-06-03T10:53:47.503Z",1,"novelbin.me","9d67dfb4aa88c088e4e6e6cb1fb3f6a0e9dbc2f27e9f55a0bbd010ea14010dfe","killed-me-now-i-have-your-power-chapter-408","killed-me-now-i-have-your-power-chapter-406",481,"https://novelzhen.com/images/covers/killed-me-now-i-have-your-power-cover.jpg"]
