Chapter 622: Uchiha Reifeng's Disappearance

Uchiha residence, Uchiha Reifeng's manor.

News of Madara Uchiha's resurrection and return to Konoha spread in a small circle among the Village's upper echelons.

Uchiha Reifeng learned the news and was completely stunned.

"Moon's Eye" plan was devised by Madara Uchiha, but now that he has died and been revived, does he still need to carry out the plan?

Or perhaps he must cooperate with Madara Uchiha to execute the plan?

The guy Heijue usually comes to see me, but during this period I don't think I've ever seen him.

I have no idea what that guy is up to.

With Madara Uchiha's resurrection being such a huge event, he didn't even come to tell me!

Could it be that Madara Uchiha's revival is related to Heijue?!

In any case, I must get to the bottom of this!

"Bring Heijue here."

Uchiha Reifeng knows that Bai Jue has been watching him from the shadows.

Bai Jue appeared, tilted his head in confusion, then slipped back into the ground and vanished.

It's unclear whether it understood Reifeng's orders.

Deep beneath the Ninja World.

Heijue wore a sorrowful expression, sighing repeatedly, "Madara Uchiha's piece can no longer be used."

If Chu Zi hadn't caused trouble, things wouldn't have become so complicated.

Now that Madara Uchiha knows my scheme in advance, I don't even dare to appear before him, fearing I'd be sealed by the Earth‑bursting Heavenly Star like my mother.

At this point, the only option is to venture into other timelines and try our luck.

Team up with my counterpart from another timeline to plot my mother's resurrection, then bring her back to save her.

The round‑trip will inevitably waste a lot of time.

I also don't know whether Chu Zi will live until my mother is revived.

Even if he dies beforehand, it's no big deal; at worst I can use Impure Earth Reincarnation to summon him.

Since I've taken the money, I must deliver the service!

Heijue's money isn't that easy to earn…

At that moment, Bai Jue came to report.

Having learned the whole story, Heijue fell into contemplation.

As of now, Uchiha Reifeng is indeed a good candidate, fully capable of replacing Madara Uchiha and becoming its most important piece for realizing the plan!

With him on board, the journey to other timelines becomes easier.

So Heijue found Uchiha Reifeng and told him that Madara Uchiha had betrayed his former ideals.

The other party no longer wishes to continue the "Moon's Eye" plan.

He's now reduced to a dreamless salted fish, spending his days merely sunbathing in the yard, completely wasted.

Uchiha Reifeng heard this, furrowed his brows slightly, and asked Heijue about his next plan.

Heijue proposed traversing time and space to realize the "Moon's Eye" plan.

Although Uchiha Reifeng felt that Heijue was using him, he was willing to give it a try to achieve the "Moon's Eye" plan, resurrect his dead wife and brother.

Fu Yue is still young; he cannot be without his mother!

Then one day, Uchiha Fugao, after school at the Ninja School as usual, returned home to find his father missing.

There was no note left; he simply vanished without a trace.

"Father!"

Fu Yue, unable to find his father, shed sorrowful tears, his black pupils turning crimson.

At such a young age, he already awakened the Sharingan; his future is limitless!

Uchiha Tanaka discovered his grandson's eye opening, and his aged face showed a satisfied smile.

As for why his son disappeared, even he does not know.

It seems the only recourse is to tell the clan head, hoping he can send someone to find Reifeng.

Hokage Office.

"What did you call me here for?"

Lian Ye pushed open the door and saw Zhi Cun Tuan Zang and Uchiha Jing already waiting inside.

"Lian Ye, Uchiha Reifeng is missing," Yuanfei Rizhan said with a solemn expression.

The sudden disappearance of a Uchiha Jonin in the Village is a very serious matter…

After all, the Uchiha are famed for the Sharingan; it could be that someone coveted those eyes and thus covertly harmed Uchiha Reifeng.

If Lian Ye knew what Ri Zhan was thinking, he would surely be unable to suppress a laugh out loud in public.

Is the Sharingan such a rare thing?

In Qianshou Feijian's lab, that old kid has a wall covered with Three Tomoe.

"Do you have any clues?"

"No. Uchiha Tanaka said that when Fu Yue was at school, Reifeng was still at home, but when he returned from school, Reifeng had vanished."

Uchiha Jing recounted everything he knew.

The few of them fell silent upon hearing that.

The Village is on high alert, especially the Uchiha Clan.

Making a Jonin disappear without a trace is clearly impractical.

Unless he left of his own accord.

But what is Uchiha Reifeng's purpose in doing this?

Several people were at a loss, pondering this.

"Why did Uchiha Reifeng leave the Village?" Yuanfei Rizhan said, puzzled.

Unfortunately, no one could give a clear explanation.

Unable to find the reason for Uchiha Reifeng's departure, the Village could only list him as missing and issue a missing‑person notice in the Ninja World.

Had they known the true cause, the missing‑person notice would surely turn into a rogue‑ninja bounty.

"Lian Ye, why do you think Uchiha Reifeng left?"

Later, Uchiha Jing found Lian Ye and said gloomily.

The former Uchiha Clan Leader's son vanished, and as the current Clan Leader he has heard many rumors.

Some clan members even claim that Reifeng's disappearance is connected to him!

Thus he is eager to locate Reifeng to prove his own innocence.

"I'm not Reifeng; if you ask me, who should I ask?"

Lian Ye lay on the chair, rolling his eyes irritably.

It might be that he awakened the Kaleidoscope Sharingan, and his mind developed problems, prompting him to leave the Village.

When he went to Reifeng's house for tea a few years ago, he noticed the other's chakra was off.

Clearly, he had awakened the Kaleidoscope Sharingan!

But Reifeng didn't mention it, and Lian Ye didn't ask.

The Uchiha Clan has endured life‑and‑death separations on the Battlefield, so it's normal for some to awaken the Kaleidoscope Sharingan.

Hold on, Kaleidoscope Sharingan!

Lian Ye suddenly sat up from the chair, his expression turning unsettled.

It can't be Heijue, that guy, can it!

Since Uchiha Reifeng awakened the Kaleidoscope Sharingan, he was discovered by the hidden mastermind Heijue.

Then Heijue, as he did with Madara Uchiha, misled Uchiha Reifeng so thoroughly that he became disoriented, thereby allowing Heijue to carry out Infinite Moon Reading…

It doesn't seem impossible.

No, Uchiha Reifeng doesn't have the Rinnegan, so Heijue's deception would be useless!

Currently, in the Ninja World, only Ban Daye can wield Infinite Moon Reading; others simply cannot.

Thus Heijue has no reason to deceive Uchiha Reifeng.

"Lian Ye, did you think of something?"

Uchiha Jing took in Lian Ye's expression fully and asked curiously.

"No, I was just thinking about what to eat for lunch."

Lian Ye lay back on the chair.

Uchiha Reifeng is already such a prominent figure, and also a holder of the Kaleidoscope Sharingan.

In the Ninja World, he would hardly encounter any danger.

Perhaps he'll return someday.

Besides, I'm not the Uchiha Clan Leader; what does the clan members' disappearance have to do with me?

Uchiha Jing: "……"
