Chapter 21

~7 min read 1,327 words

In an instant, Su Ruoyun's embarrassment was ignited again.

As if to emphasize it deliberately, she raised her volume subconsciously, her expression serious: "I didn't mind."

Who are you looking down on!

Although she said so, Huo Jingcheng raised his eyes to see the blush that hadn't faded on her porcelain-white little face. He watched quietly for two seconds, raised his hand to put the green teacup back on the tea table, nodded slightly, and replied to her with five words: "It's good that you didn't mind."

He was like saying "As long as you are happy."

The man's tone was gentle and peaceful, which made Su Ruoyun appear even more petty. She felt a lump in her heart, unable to go up or down.

Her fingers tugged at the cuffs of her chiffon shirt, twisting back and forth to vent her anger. Suddenly, she took a deep breath, stopped looking at the man sitting opposite, stood up, and walked around the solid wood landscape screen.

Just when Huo Jingcheng thought she had left in a fit of anger, the sound of footsteps rang out in his ears again, from far to near.

He turned his head to look, and Su Ruoyun was standing by the edge of the platform, carrying a handbag.

She stepped forward gracefully, placed the paper bag beside the man, and her voice was a bit low: "Your clothes."

"Tea, please enjoy, I—" will go out first.

Before Su Ruoyun could finish her sentence, there was a knock on the door, and then the sliding door was moved away. A person appeared in the crack of the door; it was Xiao Li.

She stood at the door without coming in, her face full of urgency, her eyes looking straight at Su Ruoyun, her tone respectful: "Boss Lady, someone is looking for you outside."

Su Ruoyun nodded at her, indicating she already knew. She said to Huo Jingcheng, who was lowering his head to sip tea: "Then Mr. Huo, I'll go out first. If you need anything, just look for me."

As soon as the door closed, Xiao Li explained: "I called you just now, but you didn't answer, so I had to come up to find you."

While making tea, Su Ruoyun's phone was always kept on silent. Plus, she had thrown her phone by the cushion, and so many things had happened in the private room just now, so she didn't notice that her phone had received a call for a while.

She said gently: "It's okay, who is looking for me?"

"It's a lady. She only said she wanted to find the Boss Lady, and refused to say anything else."

After finishing, Xiao Li added: "Looking at her, she seems aggressive."

Aggressive?

Su Ruoyun arched her eyebrows lightly.

The East Wing Room was some distance from the front courtyard. When she walked to the front courtyard, she stepped over the threshold unhurriedly.

Before she could even get close, the woman standing in the center of the room had already questioned: "Are you the Boss Lady of this Tea House?"

Su Ruoyun didn't mind her attitude, nodded: "Yes, what can I do for you?"

Su Ruoyun glanced at her face and found that she didn't know her. Before she could figure out the reason why this person came to find her, a blur passed through the corner of her eyes.

The middle-aged woman walked forward quickly, raised her palm, and rushed straight at Su Ruoyun's face without saying a word.

Su Ruoyun was quick-witted, raised her hand to grab the middle-aged woman's wrist, and frowned: "Haven't even said a word, and you're already making a move?"

The middle-aged woman said indignantly: "What else do I need to say to you."

"What exactly do you want from me? If you can't give a reason, I will call the police to arrest you and sue you for the crime of provoking trouble." Su Ruoyun said firmly.

Hearing this, the middle-aged woman's chest heaved slightly with anger, and she gripped the handbag in her wrist tightly: "The employee under you seduced my husband. The one who should call the police should be me."

Seeing her uncomfortable, Su Ruoyun relaxed her strength, let go of her hand, and said with a serious expression: "Our employees have undergone strict training and will not have such bad behavior. We also strictly forbid employees from contacting customers privately. You can rest assured about this."

"Rest assured? How can you make me rest assured?"

After finishing, the middle-aged woman unzipped her handbag, took out her phone, tapped the album with her fingers, and showed the photos to Su Ruoyun.

Su Ruoyun took the phone, read the conversation in the photos at a glance, narrowed her eyes, and asked her back: "Does this count as evidence?"

It wasn't an intimate photo, not a room number, just an ordinary WeChat chat record.

"You are her boss, of course you speak for her."

Su Ruoyun fixed her gaze on the avatar in the photo, didn't observe anything, and then turned to signal Xiao Hu, who was standing by the cashier. Seeing this, Xiao Hu walked up.

"Look at whose WeChat this is. Why haven't I seen this avatar?"

Xiao Hu glanced at the photo on the screen, took out her own phone, and compared the avatars in the group one by one. She also shook her head: "There is no such avatar in the group."

Su Ruoyun handed the phone back: "Madam, did you make a mistake? There is more than one 'One River Tobacco' tea house in Sijiucheng. Perhaps it's an employee from another place. Are you sure?"

"How could I be mistaken? Chen Xi is a tea artist here, right?"

Mentioning this name, Su Ruoyun's forehead jumped, and Xiao Hu's face changed suddenly.

The middle-aged woman took the changes in their expressions into her eyes and twitched the corners of her mouth: "Now I'm not wrong, right?"

"The tea artist here is quite capable, coaxing my husband to spend money on her every few days, buying bags and cosmetics."

Seeing that they were willing to admit it, Mrs. Li sat down on the chair nearby unhurriedly, crossed her legs, and put her designer bag on the long table.

Su Ruoyun pursed her lips and spoke slowly: "Madam, I understand your feelings very well, but this tea artist is currently not in the tea house. After she comes to work, we will verify the specific situation. If it is really as you said, we will take corresponding measures."

"Giving me official talk, right?"

Mrs. Li clasped her hands together, shook her head, and exclaimed: "It's really an eye-opener. What's the use of saying so much? Isn't it just that you don't want to manage it?"

Annoyed by her tone, Su Ruoyun lowered her breath: "To say something unpleasant, what's the use of you finding me?"

She raised her eyebrows slightly, and her eyes cast straight at Mrs. Li. The originally beautiful and soft eyebrows were dyed with a trace of coldness: "It's not me who seduced your husband. What's the use of you finding me? If you want an explanation, I will call and fire that tea artist now. Are you satisfied?"

Mrs. Li was speechless, then snorted coldly: "The employees under you are not clean, how good can you, the boss, be? Still want to clear the relationship? She has inherited your good mantle,"

The tail tone was drawn out, and her words were pointed, her eyes showing disdain and contempt.

"This 'One River Tobacco' might as well be renamed 'Keeping Training Class'. She rushes to be kept by men, and you are also kept by men. She is a chicken, and you are also a chicken..."

Su Ruoyun frowned, her face cold, intending to interrupt the woman's words.

A deep, cold male voice cut in from the door, speaking before her.

"Who are you talking about?"

?? Guess who it is?
