Chapter 691

"It's as if... I wasn't in the nutrient pod before..."

He murmured in his heart.

Su Tian tried pressing the button to open the nutrient pod hatch,

but there was no response. This meant the villa he lived in had no power!

One must know that the villa Su Tian resided in should never have experienced a power outage.

Even if Yunxi City had a blackout,

there would be designated personnel here to start generators to supply power to the villa residents.

"What on earth is going on?"

Doubt flashed through Su Tian's mind,

but the most important thing now was to get out of the nutrient pod.

Since the open button was useless,

he would have to break it open by force.

Covering his nose and mouth with his left hand, Su Tian threw a punch at the hatch with his right hand.

"Bang!!!"

With a loud explosion,

the hatch, which was said to be impenetrable even by ordinary bullets, was shattered by Su Tian's punch.

Su Tian climbed out of the nutrient pod

and looked around, only to discover that everything in the surroundings,

just like the nutrient pod, was shrouded in dust,

a scene indicating no one had been here for a long time.

"The prompt tone from 【Knight Century】 just now mentioned the time in the Lost City; more than three days have passed..."

"But this reality looks like it's been much longer than just three days!"

Su Tian pondered, walked to the window, and opened the curtains he had drawn before entering the World Tournament finals dungeon.

Outside, it was a scene of gray decay,

completely devoid of any traces of human habitation.

Just as Su Tian had said, being able to accumulate so much dust

indicated that a long time had passed in the real world.

Furthermore,

during this period, the humans in Yunxi City must have left for some reason.

Perhaps they had left, or perhaps they were... dead?

Su Tian could not be certain, but he vaguely guessed

that the World Tournament finals not only differed significantly in time from the real world,

but it was also very likely that all the contestants participating in the World Tournament finals went to the Lost City in their physical bodies?

Or perhaps, they went to the lingering space in their physical bodies?

In any case, it wouldn't have been inside the nutrient pods.

The fact that there was no dust on his body before, combined with the disappearance of the nutrient fluid in the pod during the power outage,

all proved that the contestants' bodies were not in the nutrient pods.

Subsequently, as if thinking of something,

Su Tian moved his mind.

The next second,

a red mechanical stag beetle and a mechanical bat appeared.

The Kabuto Zecter and Kivat-bat the 3rd appeared.

"Sure enough, I can use all the Knight powers now."

Su Tian kept trying, and for every Knight he had already acquired,

Su Tian was able to transform.

Transforming in the real world,

which naturally included the newly acquired powers of Decade and Zi-O.

The Decade Driver was even magenta-colored.

"Hm? What is this?"

After trying all the Knights, Su Tian suddenly discovered that on the table,

there was a sealed box.

The top of the box was, naturally, also covered in dust.

However, Su Tian remembered that before he entered the World Tournament finals dungeon,

this box had not been there.

Wiping away the dust, Su Tian saw the words carved onto the box:

"Left by Zhou Yefan!"

Left by Zhou Yefan?

Seeing this, Su Tian roughly understood.

This was likely because Zhou Yefan had predicted that he would be the one to emerge at the end,

and had left these things behind.

Looking closely, there was also a lock on this box,

but there was no key anywhere nearby.

This kind of lock certainly couldn't stop Su Tian; with a gentle pull of his hand,

the lock snapped in response.

Su Tian then opened the box.

Inside was a letter, a set of clean men's clothing,

and a key.

These items were clearly left by Zhou Yefan.

Picking up the letter, after Su Tian finished reading it,

he roughly understood the reason for these changes.

It turned out that

from the day Su Tian and the other contestants entered the World Tournament finals,

the Blue Planet had begun to change.

First, the volume of the Blue Planet had expanded many times over—the exact number was not calculated,

because it hadn't stabilized yet, at least not by the time Zhou Yefan left.

Next was the appearance of monsters on the Blue Planet,

along with some other humans!

That's right, other humans.

It was as if other worlds had merged with the Blue Planet.

Of course, along with the monsters came the power of Knights,

which people could now use in the real world.

However,

most 【Knight Century】 players had lost the Knight powers they originally possessed within 【Knight Century】.

Only the top 100 players in the arena (per region) had obtained a one-time opportunity to randomly retain the power of one Knight.

"The arena ranking actually has this kind of effect..."

Su Tian murmured, not expecting the arena ranking to have such a hidden benefit.

Before participating in the World Tournament, Su Tian's ranking was already first in the Great Xia Anguo arena.

Naturally, it was still the same now.

Of course, this reward was useless to Su Tian,

as it overlapped with the Knight Retention Card. ===== CHAPTER 692 =====
