Chapter 125: Marquis Suo Na Ta

~6 min read 1,080 words

To that end, Robin specially forged twenty Great Horse Leather Steel heavy arrows, intended solely for dealing with Wizards.

Perfectly embody the principle that great force brings miracles.

As for the Tang Sword, it uses Rodia alloy, the kingdom's heaviest metal; a Tang Sword of the same specifications weighs a terrifying 350 pounds.

With Robin's current strength, holding it feels heavy, but it does not affect his performance.

After all preparations were complete, under Mei Lin Da's arrangement, Robin and a team of elite academy trainees received a new mission—to head to Ao Bei Di City, protect Marquis Suo Na Ta, and investigate the Wizard Council's true conspiracy.

"This mission is extremely dangerous, but it is also your chance to prove yourselves," Mei Lin Da said with a hint of meaning, "I will assign a reliable Legendary Knight to assist you, but the final action still depends on you."

Robin and the trainees nodded, a trace of confidence in their tone: "Understood. We will do our utmost to complete the mission."

Before departing for Ao Bei Di City, Robin and Ai Lina began thorough preparations.

They selected the finest equipment from the academy's armory and consulted a large amount of information on Ao Bei Di City and the Wizard Council.

With the pre‑departure preparations nearing the end, Robin, Ai Lina and Zhang Bolun were conducting a final equipment check on the academy's training ground.

At that moment, the Legendary Knight Mei Lin Da mentioned—Ao Duo Mu Tasding—finally arrived, albeit fashionably late.

Ao Duo Mu's figure appeared at the entrance of the training ground; his stride was steady and powerful, each step seeming to carry an unseen pressure.

He was tall and broad‑shouldered, clad in silver‑white knight armor etched with ancient runes that flickered faintly.

His expression was stern, his eyes sharp as a hawk's, giving off an unspoken authority.

"Lord Ao Duo Mu, you've arrived," Mei Lin Da's voice came from behind Robin. She walked up to Ao Duo Mu, her tone lazy.

Ao Duo Mu nodded, his gaze sweeping over Robin and the others, his tone slightly cold: "These are the little ones you mentioned?"

Mei Lin Da smiled faintly, her tone carrying a hint of meaning: "Yes, Lord Ao Duo Mu. This is Ai Lun·Wei Er Ke·Wo Fu Te, whose skill and potential are outstanding. He will accompany you to Ao Bei Di City on this mission."

Ao Duo Mu's gaze fell on Robin, his eyes bearing a hint of appraisal: "Ai Lun? I've heard of you. They say your performance at the academy is exceptional."

Robin bowed slightly, his tone respectful: "Lord Ao Duo Mu, it is an honor to undertake this mission alongside you."

Ao Duo Mu nodded, his tone still cool: "I hope you won't be a burden to me."

Ao Duo Mu's arrival put pressure on Robin and the others. As a Legendary Knight, his power is unfathomable, each of his movements exuding an unseen pressure.

Robin could feel that Ao Duo Mu's strength far exceeded his own, perhaps already nearing the pinnacle of a Legendary Knight.

From Mei Lin Da's attitude toward Ao Duo Mu, it is clear her own strength is far Above Legendary.

"Lord Ao Duo Mu, this mission is extremely dangerous; we need your strength," Mei Lin Da said, her tone solemn.

Ao Duo Mu nodded, his tone confident: "Those clownish wizards of the Wizard Council aren't worth my attention. However, since you asked, I'll do my best to assist you."

Robin shook his head slightly; this fellow is arrogant, merely at the peak of legend, so where does his confidence come from?

Before departure, Mei Lin Da whispered in Robin's ear: "Pay close attention to Ao Duo Mu; to become a knight Above Legendary, you must master order. Without it, you'll remain a mere Legend all your life."

Robin's gaze sharpened slightly, and he nodded.

Under Ao Duo Mu's lead, Robin and the others silently entered Ao Bei Di City.

The city's streets bustled with people and vendors' cries, yet beneath the surface prosperity lay endless undercurrents.

Amid Ao Bei Di City's undercurrents, Robin realized that relying on a single strategy might not yield a swift breakthrough.

He decided to pursue two actions simultaneously: infiltrate Marquis Suo Na Ta's manor to contact the Marquis directly; and seek allies within the city to gather more intelligence on the Wizard Council.

"We need to split up," Robin whispered to Ai Lina and Zhang Bolun: "Ai Lina, you and I will infiltrate the manor. Zhang Bolun, find allies in the city, especially those dissatisfied with the Wizard Council."

Zhang Bolun nodded, his tone confident: "Don't worry, I'll find reliable people."

Ai Lina frowned, her tone concerned: "Infiltrating the manor is too risky; we must be cautious."

Robin nodded, "I know, but this is our only chance."

Night fell, Ao Bei Di City's streets grew quiet. Robin and Ai Lina changed into night‑cloaks and silently approached the Marquis's manor.

The manor's guards were strict, the high walls lined with patrolling soldiers, and the Wizard Council's eyes were everywhere.

"We'll enter through the garden on the side," Robin whispered, pointing to a low wall on the manor's flank.

Ai Lina nodded, and the two swiftly scaled the low wall and entered the garden.

The garden's dense trees provided good cover.

"There are patrolling soldiers ahead," Ai Lina whispered.

Robin nodded, signaling her to follow.

Using the shadows of the trees, they quickly moved through the garden toward the manor's main building.

During this, Robin noticed Wizards flying in the night; nominally they protect Marquis Suo Na Ta, but in fact they are the Marquis's watchers.

"The Marquis's study is on the second floor; we'll enter through the window," Robin whispered.

The two quickly climbed to the second floor and slipped into the study through a half‑open window.

Inside, the study was brightly lit; Marquis Suo Na Ta sat at his desk, brow furrowed, seemingly deep in thought.

"Marquis," Robin whispered, his voice respectful.

Marquis Suo Na Ta looked up sharply, his gaze wary: "Who are you?"

Robin stepped forward, whispering: "We are from the Minerva Knight Academy, sent to protect you. The Wizard Council has set its sights on you; their goal is to assassinate you and seize control of Ao Bei Di City."

The Marquis's complexion turned pale instantly, his tone shocked: "Wizard Council? They dare…"

Robin nodded, his tone solemn: "Marquis, we need your cooperation to thwart their plot."
