Chapter 105: Careless, No Dodge
"Despicable Senju brats, you Forest Senju might as well change your name to the Thief Senju."
Uchiha Gin dodged the kunai shooting toward him, saying with a mocking expression.
Seeing that his strike had missed, Butsuma Senju frowned and began to take the curly-haired Uchiha before him seriously; clearly, the boy had just made a mistake while treading water, yet he had managed to detect his premeditated sneak attack.
"All is fair in war!"
Wielding a cleaver larger than his own body, the white-haired brat clamored, looking at the Uchiha present with a face full of disgust.
"Breathing the same air as you evil Uchiha is a torture for me."
As expected of the Konoha diva, sharp-tongued from a young age.
With his first strike failing, Butsuma Senju thought rapidly; he had to succeed before Tajima Uchiha could react.
Clapping his hands together, his chakra erupted, and he brought a fist infused with super strength down rapidly toward the weakened young Madara.
This old geezer actually wasn't giving up, wanting to finish off his little brother right under his nose; Uchiha Gin naturally couldn't let him succeed, his eyes flashing red instantly.
Butsuma Senju's movements slowed frame by frame in the eyes of the three tomoe, and the trajectory of the opponent's attack was exposed beneath these eyes.
"Want to touch my little brother? Did you ask me first?"
He flashed in front of the two brats, crossing his arms in an attempt to block the opponent's attack.
Only when Butsuma Senju's fist truly struck him did Uchiha Gin understand what his uncle had said earlier.
The gap between the two was simply too vast.
Uchiha Gin had thought that with the system's rewards, his strength was already enough to stand firm in the Warring States period, and he had become somewhat conceited.
Now, a simple punch from Butsuma Senju made him recognize this reality.
"Crack!"
A brutal, immense force surged through; Uchiha Gin watched in disbelief as the forearms of both his arms snapped upon impact, his chest caved in from the residual force of the punch, alarm bells rang wildly in his mind, and the scent of death rushed toward him.
Spouting a large amount of blood, Uchiha Gin flew backward, leaving a brilliant line of blood in the air.
"Host failed, obtained Heart Energy *14. You must undergo one more battle before unlocking the Heart of Steel chest reward. (Current accumulated Heart Energy: 36)"
Flying in mid-air, he received the system's notification sound.
"Gin!" щ(゜ロ゜щ)
"Cousin!" x2(Д)ノ((()))
Seeing Uchiha Gin, who was barely breathing after being hit by his punch, Butsuma Senju was somewhat stunned; how could this Uchiha hothead dare to take his punch head-on? He should have known that his nickname "Unrivaled Iron Fist" was not just for show.
"Despicable and shameless Senju clan!"
Clutching the severely injured Uchiha Gin, Tajima Uchiha's eyes blazed with fire, his pair of scarlet Sharingan staring fixedly at the culprit; as his emotions climbed, the three tomoe in his eyes spun rapidly, as if they were about to connect together.
"Cousin! Don't you die on me!"
Izuna was crying his eyes out, lying helplessly beside Uchiha Gin and wailing; a flash of red light flickered in his tear-soaked eyes, while Madara, beside him, clenched his hands tightly, his hateful gaze wishing he could swallow the Senju clan before him alive.
"Cough, cough, cough..."
Uchiha Gin's injuries looked quite severe, but with the blessing of the Uzumaki clan's constitution, the bleeding had already stopped; he only needed to have the broken bones set to recover.
"It wasn't in vain that I took such good care of you two."
Spitting out the blood clot stuck in his throat, he said with relief to his two little cousins, who were expressing their true feelings, after recovering slightly.
"Gin, don't move yet, wait for me to take you back for treatment."
Tajima Uchiha was startled to find that Uchiha Gin could actually still speak; fearing this was a final burst of energy before death, he did not want to linger in battle, as his top priority was to save his severely injured nephew.
"Butsuma Senju, next time we meet, either you die or I live!"
Carefully holding Uchiha Gin, Tajima Uchiha looked up and said to the restless Butsuma Senju in the distance.
"Those eyes!"
Butsuma Senju, who had intended to take advantage of his weakened state to end him, suddenly noticed the strange pattern in Tajima Uchiha's eyes and forcibly stopped his urge to attack.
"Tobirama, Hashirama, retreat."
If he were confronting this Tajima Uchiha alone, he would not be afraid, but his only two remaining sons were present; once a battle started, it would be earth-shattering, leaving not a blade of grass for miles, and even if a winner were decided in the end, his children would not escape death.
Hearing his father's order, the white-haired Tobirama looked at the few people before him with unwillingness, but he could sense the thick, cold chakra rising from the Uchiha clan leader opposite, knowing that the outcome would be unpredictable if they kept fighting, so he left with his father without looking back.
"Madara, I'm sorry."
The bowl-cut Hashirama looked at his former best friend opposite with an apologetic expression, able only to apologize silently in his heart; after one lingering look, he followed and left as well.
Once the Senju group had left, Tajima Uchiha closed his Sharingan, his feet stumbling as he did so.
The price of forced activation was a sense of emptiness in his body; just now, to intimidate Butsuma Senju, he had been forced to drive his Mangekyo, but fortunately, the opponent was wary of collateral damage, otherwise, if they had truly fought, Uchiha Gin and the two children would have been hard-pressed to survive.
"Quickly, back to the clan grounds."
The three of them ran toward the clan grounds as if their feet were fueled by the wind.
Soon, upon returning to the clan grounds, Uchiha Gin was immediately sent to the medical station; Tajima Uchiha stared straight at the doctor and said coldly,
"You must save him, otherwise you will go down to join him."
The doctor, broken out in a cold sweat, hurriedly pushed Uchiha Gin into the operating room; he discovered that the patient's arm and chest bones were all fractured as if he had been hit head-on by a carriage, but fortunately, the internal organs had not been punctured by the bones, so he immediately began the surgery.
Several hours later.
"How are this guy's vital signs so stable? He doesn't look like he was severely injured at all."
Inside the operating room, the physician who had finished the surgery looked at Uchiha Gin, whose breathing was stable, and said strangely.
"The patient is out of danger; from here on, he only needs quiet rest to fully recover."
Pushing open the operating room door, the doctor took off his mask and said to the few people waiting anxiously outside.
"That's great!"
As soon as Izuna heard that Uchiha Gin was fine, he jumped three feet high instantly.
"Hmph, I told you this guy wouldn't die so easily."
Uchiha Madara, his eyes overflowing with joy, turned his head and said tsundere-ly.
"Is he really okay? Will this lead to a recurrence of old injuries?"
Upon hearing this, Tajima Uchiha's eyes first lit up, but then, thinking of something, he hurriedly asked.
"I didn't find any traces of old injuries?"
The lead physician recalled carefully; he had indeed found no old injuries on Uchiha Gin, who was, on the contrary, absurdly robust.
After hearing the doctor's words, Tajima Uchiha fell into thought; it seemed he still needed Uchiha Miao to examine exactly how Gin's body had recovered.
"Madara and Izuna, you two are responsible for taking care of Gin in the coming days."
Since Uchiha Gin was unharmed, the busy Tajima Uchiha could not stay long; he handed the caretaking duties to his two sons and turned to leave in a hurry.
"Leave it to me, I will definitely take care of Cousin until he's plump and healthy!"
There will be another chapter later.
