Chapter 103: Kaleidoscope Copy Wheel Eye x2
Fugaku immediately withdrew, forced his body to eject the shuriken, then pressed his muscles against the wound to keep it from bursting, formed a seal with one hand, and several Shadow Clone Jutsu appeared around and charged at Shisui's clone.
When the two sides' clones made contact, Shisui's clone passed through the solid form of Fugaku's Shadow Clone, then swung his sword backward, and in an instant all of Fugaku's clones were defeated.
The returning clones brought back memories, and Fugaku could not help but exclaim, "Phantom clones, truly worthy of the swift Shisui."
Shisui did not pause; a number of clones surged forward one after another.
Fugaku raised his sword and slashed; the long blade cut through a clone's flesh, but the sensation was pure void. Unfazed, he positioned the sword horizontally across his chest before the second clone could strike.
"What!"
Bang— the short blade was blocked by the long sword; Shisui's expression shifted slightly, shocked inside.
Fugaku calmly explained, "Although phantom and solid coexist, whenever you intend to attack it will inevitably be solid. Grasp that, and defending is not difficult."
"You've still underestimated Lord Fugaku; this combat intuition is terrifying."
Fugaku shook his head, his eyes heavy with seriousness.
"But it's only a defense, right!"
Shisui held the short blade horizontally; while he spoke, Fugaku was already surrounded by his phantom clones.
The clones circled Fugaku, trying to confuse his judgment, but Fugaku, also an Uchiha, possessed a terrifying three‑tomoe insight.
Sensing the movement, he swung his sword backward; the blade instantly sliced a clone, which leapt over his body. As their bodies staggered apart, the clone turned and slashed, but Fugaku had already anticipated and blocked it with his own sword.
One clone attacked; even with the blend of void and solid he handled it easily. Yet Shisui dared not underestimate Fugaku any longer. After a simple probe, several clones acted together.
Multiple figures darted back and forth, void and solid interlacing. Fugaku suddenly felt strained; a flash of silver light meant a single misstep would wound him again.
"Opportunity!"
Shisui seized the chance, flicked Fugaku's long sword away with a slash, then flipped and kicked at his chest.
Fugaku let out a cold snort, and after a brief daze reached back to grab Shisui's ankle.
With the grab empty, the remaining clones arrived in an instant, and the short blades thrust toward Fugaku's vital points.
Fugaku's gaze showed no fear; as the clones' attacks approached, he formed a simple seal, placed one hand near his mouth, and blew forcefully toward the ground.
"Fire Release: Dust Concealment Technique!"
A massive wave of scorching dust instantly enveloped the surroundings; within the smoke a brown flash flickered and vanished. Shisui was shocked as all the phantom clones were attacked simultaneously and disappeared. He looked up to see Fugaku already standing before him.
He immediately swung his sword, preparing to withdraw and reopen the distance.
Unexpectedly, Fugaku reacted with lightning speed, grabbed Shisui's wrist barehanded and knocked the short blade away, then kicked his stomach. Shisui winced, clenched his teeth, and prepared to intervene.
But Fugaku suddenly yanked him close, then delivered a punch and a kick to his face and stomach, blasting him into a cloud of dust.
Shisui folded his arms, was thrown backward, and before he could steady himself, Fugaku followed closely.
Outside: "What's happening?"
Seeing Shisui frown again, the senior elder's heart startled; he carefully examined Fugaku beside him, lightly stroked his long beard to mask a rising unease.
Illusion: "Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique!"
Shisui quickly formed a seal and spat out a fireball a yard wide; after his seal, Fugaku also formed one and, arriving later, released an even larger fireball that collided with it. In an instant, heat surged, the snow melted, the garden's artificial rocks shattered, and many roof tiles were lifted.
After the great fireball, Fugaku passed through the steam, wielding a kunai to charge again, but a volley of shuriken met him. He dodged sideways, completely missing a peculiar shuriken that flew toward the rear.
Shisui, seeing this, drew several shuriken and formed another seal.
"Fire Release: Phoenix Flower Crimson Claw!"
After the flame‑coated shuriken flew out, Shisui immediately rushed forward wielding a kunai.
Fugaku's eyes darted as he easily deflected the shuriken with his kunai, surged straight toward Shisui, and the two clashed again, fists and feet meeting amid the kunai collisions.
In strength, speed, and battlefield experience Fugaku surpassed Shisui; after only a dozen exchanges Shisui fell behind again, his body marked with wounds. After another repelled attack, facing the wide‑open Shisui, Fugaku's eyes flashed disappointment, "Still far from it!"
The kunai pierced, yet passed through as if through void.
Fugaku's gaze changed abruptly, exclaiming, "When?"
Void and solid swapped, and another Shisui silhouette appeared behind Fugaku at an unknown moment.
"It's over."
As the kunai struck, Shisui only turned his head slowly; he barely saw Fugaku's eye corner, and the kunai was halted by a layer of brown chakra surrounding Fugaku's body.
Shisui's eyes shifted, and he immediately kicked Fugaku forcefully, sending him crashing into the courtyard wall, then formed another seal.
"Fire Release: Great Fire Extinguish!"
A sea of fire overturned, snow sublimated, stones melted, smoke swirled, filling the surroundings.
Rumble— however, after a deafening crash a sudden gale rose; Fugaku's house roofs were ripped away, debris and broken wood rained down, and Shisui's flames were instantly extinguished.
Shisui shielded himself, stared, and saw a gigantic hand formed of chakra appear around Fugaku; with a casual swing it raised a massive wind, dispersing the smoke.
Fine sweat trickled down Shisui's forehead as he stared intently at Fugaku's eyes.
"Kaleidoscope Copy Wheel Eye!"
Outside hiss— seeing Fugaku's eye corner bleed tears, the senior elder was shocked beyond measure, his beard pulled out and he could not react; he gulped a breath of cold air, his head throbbed as if about to split.
Fugaku stepped forward slowly, a chakra‑formed skeleton protecting him beside him.
"For someone of your age, reaching this level with body technique and ninjutsu already astonishes me.
But did you see? This is the Uchiha's ultimate power: Kaleidoscope Copy Wheel Eye, the third power, Susanoo.
How far can those eyes see?"
The three tomoe transformed into a shape like a shuriken, giving Fugaku a hint of a violent aura.
"Indeed it's the Kaleidoscope, truly worthy of Lord Fugaku."
Shisui stood, gathered his breath, looked at Fugaku with sincere admiration, then said, "May I ask a question?"
Fugaku waved his hand, wiping away the blood‑tears from his eye corner, and nodded calmly.
"Are these eyes the confidence behind your coup?"
"Oh? Ahahaha—"
Fugaku was startled, then looked up to the sky and laughed heartily, and only after a long while did he calm down, shaking his head with some satisfaction, "I thought you would ask about these eyes."
But Shisui, closing his eyes, also shook his head, "No, I have no doubt about the origin of these eyes; I know, because of pain and remorse."
"I see." Fugaku let out a light sigh, feeling Shisui's change.
Shisui opened his eyes again; the three tomoe in his eyes slowly rotated, then merged into a single pattern resembling a windmill. Fugaku simply watched in silence, his eyes filled with both satisfaction and resolve.
At that moment, his momentum shifted abruptly; he no longer held back. He clasped his hands together, forming the Tiger Seal, and the surrounding skeletons instantly transformed, sprouting flesh to become a brown chakra giant over three zhang tall.
The brown giant, wielding a Mountain-Breaking Spear, was awe‑inspiring; more than half of his body rose far above the courtyard wall. With a single raised hand, he swept, and the entire courtyard turned to ruin.
Fugaku shouted, "Shisui, do you see? This is the power of the Uchiha!"
But within the ruins, a fierce aura suddenly rose, carrying a raging wind and hurling stones. When the dust cleared, a green chakra giant, wielding a Spiral Sword, slowly solidified. Shisui stood inside the giant; his eyes also shed blood tears, and the chakra on his body grew increasingly violent.
"Lord Fugaku, without a doubt, you are the strongest person I have ever seen."
"But stop here, Lord Fugaku; no matter what, I will make you stop here!"
