Chapter 70: Notification for Premium Release, Requesting First Subscriptions
Notification for Premium Release, Requesting First Subscriptions
VIP access opens tomorrow at noon; there may be a delay of a few minutes or around ten minutes.
In any case, as soon as it opens, I will update immediately.
The first round will release ten thousand characters, roughly five chapters.
Then I will continue typing to see if I can manage another burst of updates.
The update plan is tentatively set as such; now I will ramble a few words.
When I first submitted, the editor chose this xianxia opening from seven or eight beginnings, which surprised me greatly.
I rarely read xianxia-type books myself, let alone write xianxia. So this book is actually written very slowly; I always revise the wording many times over, and I do not know if readers will like this pacing and story.
I always think that when writing a book, one must write a protagonist one can identify with.
In the previous book, Wuyou, I actually wrote about a decadent middle-aged man: not lacking ability, not having failed to strive, but struck by fate until he lost his ambition, seeking only to lie flat and live, yet constantly forced to struggle again.
So the male lead of Wuyou focused on negotiating whenever possible, striving for a win-win. Whether evil or good, it did not matter to Wuyou; he no longer had the strength to argue right and wrong with others, leaving only pure calculation of interests.
In this book, I will write about a youth who has not yet been beaten by the world. He will care deeply about good and evil, right and wrong, and care less about gains and losses in terms of profit.
I believe cultivation is cultivating the heart; what is sought is immortality, is freedom.
The so-called immortals should be those who do not do what they do not wish to do, rather than gods trampling on the heads of all beings.
Therefore, in this xianxia, my protagonist will lean toward the great, bright, and righteous direction, even appearing somewhat saintly.
I know that in web novels, "saintly" is not a good term; often it is hard for us to believe in beauty.
But I still feel there should be some positive, beautiful, and uplifting things in the world; since it is all fantasy anyway, why not imagine it more beautifully.
So the tone of this book later will remain consistent with the beginning; the male lead will never become a demon lord who refines all beings. Friends who wish to see true demonic cultivation need not subscribe.
I hope the Ten Thousand Souls Banner in my book is truly the Human Emperor Banner.
Having rambled so much, I ask everyone for much support; the book goes premium tomorrow at noon. I request first subscriptions, I request monthly tickets, I request everyone to grant me a meal.
