Chapter 753: You and the Coach Go Swimming

The on‑site big screen displayed the personal portrait of the second game's MVP.

"MVP is Jiao Shen again!"

"As expected, right?"

"The stats are too exaggerated..."

"In this patch with the jungle experience catch‑up mechanic, he can still suppress the opponent three levels ahead—honestly, that's pretty outrageous."

"We don't know how he did it, but he did it!"

"Can only say that World's No. 1 Jungler lives up to the name—even a player of Condi's caliber, in front of him, is like…… uh……"

Wawa instinctively wanted to say it was about the same as playing against AI, but ended up swallowing the words.

WE is already in bad shape; there's no need to rub salt in the wound.

The broadcast screen still lingered on the MVP stats panel; the commentators didn't dare say it outright, but the barrage had already gone crazy.

【They've got two MVPs, you two are the blame‑takers—what was Condi up to last night?】

【Jiao Shen: Is that all the playoffs? I haven't even warmed up yet!】

【Condi, where's the promised Son of the Dragon? Didn't even snag a big dragon today!】

【Still Son of the Dragon? In these two games you were almost being farmed like a tiny F6 bird by Jiao Shen……】

【Don't force the hate—Condi is strategically holding back; later he'll grab six big dragons and turn a 2‑deficit into a 3‑lead.】

【Come on, WE! Turning a 2‑deficit into a 3‑lead isn't a dream!】

【Wake up, 60e—VG in this state will kill anyone who comes.】

【60e probably needs to collectively take blood‑pressure meds today; these two pure speed‑run games are faster than me beating the AI.】

【No need to play the third game—just go home, embarrassing!】

【Feel sorry for the brother‑in‑law; the bot lane keeps taking pressure—coach, go eat shit!】

【Xi Ye is pretty abstract today—Syndra has no lane priority, the plane has no lane priority; both just want to sleep‑walk, play whatever!】

【WE won't really fail to make Worlds, right?】

【Today there's no hope—watch the qualifiers, it's still pretty hype.】

【Unless you're paying RNG and IG, I doubt it.】

……

VG locker room.

Gao Jun stood up with a smile: "Alright, alright, stop chatting—get ready to go on stage. I still need to remind everyone: although we have three match points in hand, we mustn't be careless—RNG's lesson is right here."

Even Zhu Xiaolong couldn't help but laugh: "Manager Gao, can't you say something nicer? If we really let WE turn a 2‑deficit into a 3‑lead, I swear I'll take off my jersey and jump into the Huangpu River after the game!"

"Yeah, yeah, yeah! Swim out to the river mouth and back, then swim from the sewers back to the base!" Xiao Duan, loving the drama, fanned the flames.

Then he got a sudden flick on the forehead, covered his head, turned back to see Liang Yan glaring at him; his anger instantly turned to grievance: "Brother Yan, why did you hit me~"

"You really want to be made to turn a 2‑deficit into a 3‑lead? Then you'll go swimming with the coach!"

Xiao Duan covered his head and bolted out the door.

Easyhoon walked behind Liang Yan, pondering, and asked: "By the way, can you swim in the sewers?"

"Yeah, Shanghai's had heavy flooding lately, so you should be able to." Liang Yan answered casually.

Easyhoon seemed to really believe it.

But no one cared whether, if WE really made us turn a 2‑deficit into a 3‑lead today, Zhu Xiaolong would actually have to go swim in the sewers……

Of course, turning a 2‑deficit into a 3‑lead is impossible.

The probability of two consecutive playoff Bo5 games in a day seeing a 2‑deficit turned into a 3‑lead is about the same as the NBA having two straight games where a team scores 13 points in the final half‑minute to reverse the outcome; both are historic events that netizens would talk about for years if they happened once, let alone twice in a day.

After more than half an hour, WE's nexus blew up again.

"Three‑zero!!"

Wang Ji shouted excitedly,

"The total fight time of three straight games is under thirty minutes—congratulations, VG! Advancing to the 2017 LPL Summer Finals in an unstoppable fashion!"

"Yes, this Bo5, VG could be described as crushing the opponent like a rotten log, and it also continues the miracle of winning every big match in the summer split."

"The next match is the showdown against EDG in Beijing."

"Well... to be honest, I still hope the two teams will put on a more exciting show next time, instead of another one‑sided stomp……"

At the moment the match ended, the venue instantly turned into a massive rave, with lights flashing in all colors on stage, VG fans in the stands all rose and shouted, the deafening sound wave penetrated the arena—even visitors shopping on the first floor could hear it, letting VG fans outside who couldn't get tickets know the result had come out.

The semifinal venue was still the LPL home court at Zhengda Guangchang, but the next match will change location—the 2017 LPL Summer Finals will be held at Beijing's Wukesong Cultural Sports Center.

Moreover, this year's finals will be held together with the League of Legends 6‑year anniversary celebration, and the LPL qualifiers will also take place at the Wukesong Sports Arena; the whole event runs three days—day one: finals, days two‑three: qualifiers, with a party after each Bo5.

According to the official announcement, there will also be an exhibition match featuring a star team made up of top‑tier entertainment celebrities plus LPL star players, though the exact roster hasn't been released yet. Online rumors have it that the current biggest star in the Mandarin music scene will take part, and on the player side, Liang Yan appearing on the list is practically a sure thing.

No more on that; the view returns to the present.

The commentators each gave a summary of this Bo5, then, after the crowd's cheers died down, they filled the time before the post‑match interview with small talk.

Wawa let out a satisfied sigh and said: "Although WE's tumultuous experience this year is thought‑provoking, right now I'm still quite happy, because VG undoubtedly represents one of our region's strongest forces, and we can now confirm that this team will appear on the stage of this year's World Championship!"

"Yes, then we'll be able to see them on the stage of Wu Han Sports Center! And the stronger VG performs in the playoffs, the greater our hope!"

"That teacher's comment is wrong—not just Wu Han, we'll definitely see them on the stages of Guangzhou and Shanghai too! Even the Bird's Nest……"

Rita laughed till she couldn't close her mouth, waved her hand to cut off Wawa: "Enough, enough—I already feel the time dragging."

"Can't wait for S7 to start already, right?"

"Yes."

"All right, no more small talk—the post‑match interview stage is ready; let's hear what Jiao Shen, who snagged MVP in three straight games, has to say to everyone!"

"Speaking of which, Jiao Shen hasn't appeared in a post‑match interview for quite a while……"

The commentator's voice grew fainter until it couldn't be heard at all, then the picture flashed and the broadcast feed switched to the live venue.

The dance floor lights lit up again, and amid the audience's cheers, Liang Yan and host Yu Shuang's faces appeared on the live broadcast screen.
