Chapter 153

He thought of a question he had always wanted to ask:

"Captain Long, where does our team's money come from?"

"It can't possibly be earned by just you, Xiao Yi, and Bing Bing, can it?"

Long Bowen waved his hand and smiled, saying:

"How could that be!"

"Our team's Golden Bean profits mainly come from contracts with new players."

"Doesn't the Game Space require every player to play three games a month?"

"Some new players don't have enough Golden Beans; if they lose a game, they will be erased."

"They will come to Long Teng, begging for someone to carry them through,"

"At that time, we will sign a contract with these new players,"

"Carrying them through is fine, but once they grow up, Long Teng will take ten percent of the Golden Beans from every game they win."

Gu Xuan couldn't help but click his tongue twice,

"Would those players still be willing?"

Long Bowen explained patiently:

"This is already considered very fair,"

"Golden Beans are important, but compared to life itself, they mean nothing."

"Besides, our Long Teng already charges the lowest fees in the industry."

"Over at Pink Dreamland, they demand thirty percent!"

"Even so, demand still exceeds supply every month."

Gu Xuan was inwardly shocked,

Indeed,

It is still easier to make money with an organization backing you.

However,

He is now the Vice-Captain of Long Teng,

A portion of the Golden Beans Long Teng earns every month will become his salary,

so Gu Xuan naturally would not criticize anything.

After this question was put aside,

Long Bowen said to Gu Xuan again:

"Brother Gu, are you going to play the Eight-Person Army Struggle next?"

After Gu Xuan nodded,

Long Bowen finally spoke with a solemn expression to warn him:

"There is a question there concerning life and death,"

"Brother Gu must pay close attention!"

"The Eight-Person Army Struggle is nothing like the Five-Person or Two-Person versions."

"The difficulty is much greater!"

"You must be extremely cautious; never suffer consecutive defeats!"

"Especially, under no circumstances should you lose ten games in a row!"

"Remember this warning; it is very important!"

Hearing these words,

Gu Xuan couldn't help but ask a question in confusion:

"Captain Long, why is that?"

Long Bowen patted his shoulder and told Gu Xuan:

"If a game is lost and there are not enough Golden Beans to cover the cost, the Game Space will erase you,"

"Brother Gu should know this rule."

Gu Xuan nodded; this rule is a basic rule of the Game Space,

and of course he knew it.

Long Bowen continued speaking:

"There is another rule: players on the Combat Power Rankings who lose ten games in a row."

"Then, they will also be erased by the Game Space!"

"At the same time, if a player on the Combat Power Rankings is erased,"

"their Generals will also belong to the winner of that match!"

Hearing this,

Gu Xuan's pupils couldn't help but contract,

A player on the Combat Power Rankings being erased by the game, and their Generals going to the winner of that match,

this rule was written in the materials Wang Lingling compiled for him.

But...

Back then, Wang Lingling did not mention anything about losing ten games in a row,

she probably didn't know about it either.

If Captain Long hadn't reminded him today,

Gu Xuan might still be unaware of this rule.

Long Bowen continued to warn,

"Not long ago, many of our Long Teng team members,

"lost too many matches in a row due to Pink Dreamland's sniping,

"and now dare not play the Eight-Person Military Struggle, only daring to play 2v2 ranked matches,

"Today you single-handedly slaughtered through Pink Dreamland; they certainly won't let this go."

"When you play the Eight-Person Military Struggle, you must pay attention,

"if the situation turns wrong, exit the game space immediately; do not force a fight!"

"Find me; I will arrange for team members to stand up for you!"

Gu Xuan nodded to indicate he understood,

"Rest assured, Captain Long."

"I know my limits."

After thanking Long Bowen, Gu Xuan exited the 1v1 team match space.

Now, before the Dou Dizhu mode unlocks,

only the requirement of ten consecutive wins in the Eight-Person Military Struggle remains.

Gu Xuan naturally did not worry about whether he could win;

each of his generals was very powerful.

As long as his teammates were not too foolish,

a losing streak simply would not occur.

As for Pink Dreamland's sniping...

To be honest, with three Blank Epic Experience Cards in hand 617,

he truly did not take it to heart!

………………

Gu Xuan had just exited the game space

when he noticed a message popping up in his friends list.

He clicked to open it,

and it was a message from Wang Lingling.

"Big Shot!"

"You actually single-handedly slaughtered through Pink Dreamland's entire team?!"

"Not seen in a night, you're way too awesome! (Ox Head + Beer jpg)"

Gu Xuan was puzzled; was this girl's information so up-to-date?
