Chapter 101: 1 Billion People Online Simultaneously, the Pursuit Team Stands Ready!

Leaving the Temporary Command Room, Zhang Hao immediately relayed Zhou Yun's orders to all units, instructing them to prepare for action!

Upon receiving the news, all personnel involved in this pursuit operation sprang into action!

The first to move was the Congo Military!

That same evening, their relevant officers ordered all warships and submarines patrolling the Atlantic Ocean to sail to the waters near the Great Rift Valley, entering a state of Level 1 combat readiness!

At the same time, all far-infrared surveillance equipment at the entire river mouth was also fully prepared.

When the time comes, as long as Chu Chen dares to enter, the relevant units will be able to lock onto his position immediately.

Furthermore, the Giant Salvage Net controlled by two cranes also entered operational status after receiving instructions from the Pursuit Team, waiting at every moment for the target to appear!

From the moment the order was given until now, in just five short minutes, both banks of the Kinshasa river mouth were filled with a busy scene!

Looking around, staff members armed with live ammunition could be seen everywhere.

Some were patrolling, while others were setting up cordon lines.

Anyone who didn't know better would have thought a major crime had occurred!

At this moment, aside from the working personnel, the non-working areas were also a scene of extraordinary bustle.

After receiving the news, some onlookers arrived at the scene early to stake out favorable viewing positions in advance.

The Sheraton Hotel, located on the high ground across from the Great Rift Valley, even presented the rare spectacle of being brightly lit.

Almost every floor-to-ceiling window had hotel guests holding binoculars, watching all of this unfold!

As of now, room prices here have been hyped up to tens of millions per night!

Some prime rooms have even passed through the hands of scalpers several times, eventually being crowdfunded by many people just to experience up close this chase drama worthy of being recorded in world criminal history!

On the top floor of the hotel, the relevant Congo officials had also all arrived.

Of course, the officials coming to the scene in person this time were not just here to watch the excitement; more importantly, they were entrusted by the Huaxia side to be responsible for the safety of both the pursuers and the pursued.

If the safety of Chu Chen or the Pursuit Team were threatened during the live broadcast, the Imperial Guard lying in ambush nearby would immediately mobilize and take over the scene!

The Congo's Imperial Guard is of a very high rank.

Under normal circumstances, one can only see them when something of great national importance occurs.

Otherwise, they would not easily appear in the public eye.

From this point, one can see how much pressure the Huaxia side exerted, to the extent that they even dispatched the Imperial Guard!

【Holy crap, what a massive formation! Even the Imperial Guard is here!】

【Rumor has it that this was requested by us, sent to protect the safety of God Chu?】

【Damn, for real? This is way too prestigious!】

【Brothers, my palms are already starting to sweat!】

【Come on, follow me, close your eyes, take three deep breaths, and then turn off your phones!】

……

……

……

As the challenge reached a fever pitch, the popularity in the official live broadcast room and the exclusive live broadcast rooms of major television networks across the five continents hit a new high once again!

If one adds in other live streaming platforms from Huaxia, even a conservative estimate suggests at least 4 billion people are watching this broadcast!

4 billion!

What kind of concept is that?

It means that at this very moment, at least half of the people on this planet are watching the final outcome of this chase drama!

Barring any accidents, this popularity record will likely never be broken by anyone other than Chu Chen himself.

Even if that pop superstar were reborn, there would be absolutely no such possibility!

Right now, Chu Chen has only reached the third challenge, and he has already attracted the attention of so many people.

If he truly completes all Eight Challenges in the future without being caught, the entire Earth might shake three times over this event!

In the blink of an eye, accompanied by the anticipation of countless people, the longest night finally passed!

After a night of navigation, Chu Chen safely crossed the final 14 kilometers of the Inga River section and officially entered the territory of Kinshasa!

At this moment, as the river mouth approached, the water conditions in the channel became much more complex.

Being in the midst of it, Chu Chen could clearly feel the boat beneath him becoming increasingly bumpy!

Furthermore, because his body had not received sufficient rest, all of his physical functions showed a very obvious downward trend.

However, relying on his skilled technique, Chu Chen could still handle these minor issues.

Soon.

Another three hours or so passed.

Nine o'clock in the morning, local African time!

After a long journey, Chu Chen finally arrived at the famous Congo Grand Canyon, and at the same time, entered the monitoring range of the Pursuit Team!

At this time, in the Command Room.

The moment Chu Chen entered the encirclement, the far-infrared surveillance locked onto his position immediately!

Seeing this, a staff member immediately took off their headset, turned their head, and reported to Zhuang Yan:

"Captain Zhuang, target spotted!"

Hearing this, Zhuang Yan hurried to the large screen, staring fixedly at the silhouette of the person appearing and disappearing in the roaring torrent, while ordering:

"Lock onto his movement trajectory immediately."

"Yes."

After giving the order to the staff, Zhuang Yan rushed to the adjacent Temporary Command Room to report this news to the five Pursuit Captains who were discussing the next move!

"Everyone, the target has appeared."

Upon hearing the news of Chu Chen's appearance, the hearts of the several Pursuit Captains, which were already hanging by a thread, suddenly skipped a beat!

The next second, Zhou Yun was the first to speak and ask: "When did this happen?"

"Just now! I have already had the pursuit personnel lock onto his movement trajectory!" Zhuang Yan said.

"Let's go, let's go take a look."

Without delay, the group arrived at the Temporary Command Room immediately.

After arriving at the location, Zhou Yun immediately directed the staff operating the surveillance: "Please enlarge the image."

"Yes."

After he finished speaking, the staff member immediately complied, enlarging the real-time surveillance feed by several times.

At this moment, although the image was very chaotic.

Through the screen, the six captains could still clearly see a humanoid silhouette leaping up and down amidst the turbulent currents!

Judging by the surveillance, the location where Chu Chen was currently at was exactly the first half of the Congo Grand Canyon.

Based on his position, right now, he was at most less than 20 kilometers away from the river mouth at Kinshasa!

Realizing this, Zhou Yun immediately brought the walkie-talkie to his mouth and said with a very serious expression:

"All units, please pay attention! The target has entered our surveillance range. His current position is roughly in the first half of the Congo Grand Canyon, less than 20 kilometers from the river mouth. All team members, please prepare for action immediately; acknowledge upon receipt!"
