Chapter 114: Twin Bridges!

In the few days that Chu Chen has been missing, the popularity and viewership ratings of "Simulated Crime" have dropped by fifty percent directly!

As of now, the real-time popularity in the official livestream room has already fallen below five hundred million!

And among the viewers who have remained, only a very small portion are paying attention to the other contestants!

The vast majority of the others are waiting for Chu Chen to reappear.

Especially those content creators who make recordings of Chu Chen, they stay in the livestream room almost twenty-four hours a day, just to get the first-hand video material and stay one step ahead of others.

Of course, it is not just the official livestream room; other cooperative platforms, and even television networks across various continents, have also seen a cliff-like drop in popularity and viewership!

At this moment, China Central Television!

Inside the office of Chen Zhiguo, the person in charge of the "Simulated Crime" program!

Sitting on the sofa, Chief Director Zhang Yiwen sighed repeatedly and said:

"... It is not just the official livestream room; the livestream rooms on other platforms have also experienced the same situation..."

Hearing this, Chen Zhiguo nodded thoughtfully and then asked: "How much popularity is left now?"

"It has already fallen below five hundred million," Zhang Yiwen replied.

Chen Zhiguo was taken aback: "Oh? It has dropped so quickly in less than a day?"

"Yes... this drop is indeed much larger than the last time. But there is nothing that can be done about it; as long as he does not appear, the popularity cannot be retained. If there is no Chu Chen, five hundred million in popularity is the upper limit of popularity that our program can reach."

Chen Zhiguo let out a long sigh and did not speak.

Immediately after, Zhang Yiwen continued:

"During this period, we have already compressed the screen time of other contestants to the maximum extent. In order to ensure the continuity of his livestream, many contestants' real-time crimes have appeared in the form of replays. Right now, if we give Chu Chen more screen time, it is truly inappropriate. Because the contract stipulates that as long as the contestants are committing crimes, their screen time must be guaranteed, otherwise it is a breach of contract. Therefore, it is very difficult to handle now..."

The screen time in reality shows is very particular.

It is not that the director gives more screen time to whoever they find pleasing.

How long a guest appears on the program is agreed upon with the organizers before participating in the program.

This "Simulated Crime" is no exception.

Previously, the Program Team had already guaranteed Chu Chen's screen time to the maximum extent within the scope stipulated by the contract, even occupying the time of many other contestants. If this time is not compensated to them, the Program Team, as the first party, would certainly have to pay a huge penalty for breach of contract.

To solve this trouble, many people have suggested setting up a separate livestream room for Chu Chen.

The Program Team has also considered this plan.

But they still cannot do it, because if they really did that, the livestream rooms of other contestants would be directly ruined, including the official livestream room.

If the official livestream room collapses, there would be no way to answer to the advertisers and sponsors, because there are contracts between them as well.

"The problem now is that the time for others is a bit insufficient."

"Then what is your idea now?" After pondering for a long while, Chen Zhiguo suddenly spoke.

Zhang Yiwen is actually very experienced in this area, but he is also in a difficult position right now. He thought for a moment and said:

"There is no other way; we can only urge the Expert Group to eliminate as many other contestants as possible. With fewer people, the distributable livestream time later will naturally be more."

"Hmm, then let's do that for now. Anyway, this kid hasn't been eliminated yet; as long as he is still there, the popularity will always come back," Chen Zhiguo said.

Zhang Yiwen nodded.

Immediately after, Chen Zhiguo added: "Is there anything else?"

"There is nothing major..." Zhang Yiwen hesitated to speak.

Chen Zhiguo could see that he must have some unspeakable concerns: "Are there any difficulties?"

Zhang Yiwen thought for a moment, and without hiding anything, he spoke decisively: "There are no difficulties, I just wanted to ask, what is the attitude of the higher-ups toward Chu Chen now? And that 8 trillion prize money of his..."

Hearing this, Chen Zhiguo chuckled: "You don't need to worry about this; someone will pay for him."

At the beginning of the program, Chen Zhiguo had also worried about this matter more than once.

But now, he is not worried at all.

Because the country has already taken action.

The national strength of Huaxia is very powerful in this world, and its status is also quite high!

With the country as a backer, what matter cannot be settled?

"Go ahead and do it boldly."

Hearing Chen Zhiguo say this, Zhang Yiwen also set his heart at ease: "Then I have nothing else."

"Good, then you go ahead and get busy."

At the same time.

On Chu Chen's side.

In order to complete the crime mission within the time limit stipulated by the program, on the night he shook off the pursuit, Chu Chen borrowed the identity of a foreigner and traveled from Luanda International Airport to Rome, Italy.

After arriving at the place.

He immediately began to plan his next crime, and this continued for three days, until the morning of the fourth day!

At this moment.

Italy, Milan, by the Tiber River!

On the Twin Bridges of the Comowell Highway!

Right now, although it is not yet eight o'clock in the morning, because the surrounding tens of kilometers are endless desert, the sun has already risen very high, inlaying all the scenery with a layer of pale gold.

The Twin Bridges are the landmark architecture of the Comowell Highway.

Below the bridge is the famous Comowell Highway!

The entire bridge is 469 meters long and 145 meters high.

In the middle of the bridge deck, two tall circular steel columns stand respectively, pulling countless bridge cables.

At this moment, Chu Chen is sitting at the very top of the steel column on the far right, wearing an all-black Low-altitude Parachute Windbreaker, holding a black helmet in his arms, still in his usual Black Warrior style.

Chu Chen spent a great deal of money to buy this outfit from the System Mall; it was the most expensive windproof suit in the entire System Mall!

Its parachute pack is hidden behind the jacket.

When using it, one only needs to pull the parachute cord under the armpit.

The main parachute on the back will open in response.

It is designed very reasonably, the user experience is excellent, it is convenient and fast, and the safety is exceptionally high.

The only drawback is that the price is extremely expensive.

It cost Chu Chen 12 million Shock Value all at once.

But there is no other way; in order to complete the mission, he had to spend this money.

Because according to the System's requirements, for this mission, he needs to complete a low-altitude Parachuting.

Based on this requirement, Chu Chen immediately put this mission on his schedule!

Right now, he is preparing to use this method to approach a banknote paper transport vehicle from the Milan Paper Mill, in order to complete the first step of his criminal plan:

【By hijacking the banknote paper transport vehicle, infiltrate the interior of the Yinchaochang】

As early as the first day he landed in Italy, he had used some special channels to gain a very comprehensive understanding of the operating model and security measures of this Yinchaochang, and obtained a very key clue!

In the last few days, the Rome Banknote Printing Plant just happened to receive a large order from the European Central Bank!

It requires a large amount of pure cotton banknote paper!

The type of pure cotton paper they use for printing banknotes all comes from a paper mill in Milan.

Relying on this clue, Chu Chen quickly formulated a perfect criminal plan for this operation and locked his gaze onto a banknote paper transport vehicle!

And right now, this vehicle has already departed from the Milan city area and is speeding along the Comowell Highway in the direction of the Twin Bridges...
