Chapter 143: Target: Nazi Gold!

After reading through the mission details, Chu Chen was stunned at first, but soon he couldn't help but curl the corners of his mouth!

The excitement in his expression was self-evident!

Walenstadt Canyon, Wind Surge, Nazi Gold...

The moment these keywords entered his sight, Chu Chen instantly entered a challenge state!

The most thrilling extreme sport!

The most mysterious Nazi treasure!

Just thinking about such a combination was enough to make one's heart surge!

One must know, this world does not have the sport of Wingsuit Flying!

If he could complete this challenge during a live stream, he would definitely make everyone gasp in astonishment!

Secondly, the origin of that gold was also quite significant!

Nazi Gold has always been a mysterious existence; this topic has not stopped from the Second World War to this day.

Regarding the whereabouts of this gold, there are all kinds of theories, but there has never been a definitive conclusion.

If not for this mission, who would have thought that over a thousand tons of gold were actually hidden in the underground vault of the Swiss National Bank?

This news is truly explosive!

If it were made public, it would definitely cause a massive uproar!

During World War II, the Nazi side plundered a vast amount of wealth!

A large portion of this wealth was confiscated by the Allied forces after the war ended and returned to its previous owners, but a great deal still remains missing!

Nazi Gold is one of them!

The true quantity of this gold has no definitive conclusion even today.

Some historians believe that the gold they hid might only be a few tons.

But some experts hold the opposite opinion.

Because throughout the entire Second World War, every time they invaded a country, they would charge it a high occupation fee and directly seize that country's gold reserves and foreign exchange reserves!

According to incomplete statistics, the gold reserves they plundered amounted to a massive 15 billion US dollars, but the Allied forces only recovered less than half!

Where did the remaining gold go?

The answer is self-evident.

Previously, some people believed that all this gold was buried in some basement within Germany to avoid trial.

Others believed that this gold was actually buried by Rommel in the Sahara Desert, but the specific location is unknown.

Even more imaginative people believe that the reason this gold has not appeared until now is that it was actually launched to Mars by the Nazis!

The reason why Elon Musk keeps wanting to immigrate to Mars and messing with those messy Starlink things is actually to go to Mars to dig up Nazi Gold...

Such a claim has some elements of a joke.

But it is an indisputable fact that after World War II, many people joined the ranks of searching for Nazi Gold!

In order to find this windfall, many top tycoons, adventure enthusiasts, and private investigation companies have all entered the game, and in the end, even officials have personally stepped in!

But until today, these treasure hunters have not found any valuable clues!

To this day, this matter is like an unsolved mystery, troubling countless treasure hunters!

If not for this mission, Chu Chen would never have thought that the famous Nazi Gold was actually hidden in the underground vault of the Swiss National Bank!

Back then, Switzerland, as a neutral country, did indeed receive some Nazi Gold, but it was not 1,000 tons, only a very small portion!

Now it seems that this so-called neutral party mostly lied.

Thinking of this, Chu Chen let out a long breath and immediately made up his mind to formulate a crazier criminal plan for this robbery right away!

Meanwhile!

Italy!

Inside a hospital room at Shengliya Ge Hospital.

After escaping death, Chen Xiong and Zhuang Yan were sent here by the rescue team at the first opportunity.

After the doctor's examination, the two were not in serious condition, only suffering some minor injuries.

Chen Xiong had some skin scraped off his face.

Zhuang Yan had a dislocated right shoulder.

After the doctor left, Zhou Yun looked at the two and asked with concern:

"How are you feeling now?"

Hearing this, Chen Xiong let out a long breath and said, "Just some scraped skin, it's nothing. However, it was truly thrilling just now, it was just by a hair... Thanks to Team Leader Zhuang, otherwise I would have likely been done for this time..."

"I'm fine..." Zhuang Yan said faintly.

The next second, she asked again: "How are the team members? Are there any casualties?"

Zhou Yun sighed softly, his expression somewhat heavy: "As of now, there are hundreds with minor injuries, over twenty with serious injuries, and no deaths have been discovered yet..."

"So many injured?"

Hearing this, Zhuang Yan was stunned for a moment.

Zhou Yun nodded and continued meaningfully: "That's not all... The relevant search and rescue work is still ongoing, and the specific casualty data will likely have to wait until the search and rescue work is finished to be tallied..."

Upon hearing this news, the expressions of Chen Xiong and Zhuang Yan instantly dimmed.

After a long while, Zhuang Yan dragged her injured arm, stood up, and spoke slowly:

"... That guy's luck is truly good; if not for this avalanche, he definitely wouldn't have been able to run this time..."

Upon hearing this, Chen Xiong also chimed in from the side: "……We can only blame our terrible luck……"

Before coming to the hospital, Zhou Yun had just spoken with the Expert Group on the phone.

Through this call, Zhou Yun learned the ins and outs of the entire matter.

After the two finished speaking, he slowly opened his mouth and said: "You might not believe it if I told you, but this avalanche was actually not an accident……"

Zhuang Yan: "What?"

Chen Xiong: "Not an accident?"

As soon as he said this, both captains were startled and spoke up one after another to question him.

Glancing at the two, Zhou Yun let out a long sigh and then continued:

"I just spoke with the Expert Group on the phone. They unanimously believe that this avalanche was not an accident, but was single-handedly caused by Chu Chen, with the purpose of provoking us and subsequently evading capture!"

"Single-handedly caused? How is that possible?" Chen Xiong said in surprise.

Zhuang Yan did not speak, but her expression was very grave; her tightly furrowed willow-leaf brows were almost tied into a knot.

Following that, Zhou Yun continued:

"The Dolomite Mountains are not ordinary snow-capped mountains. Because they have been untouched by people for years, coupled with the massive amount of accumulated snow, avalanches occur easily, especially in this season; even a subtle change could potentially alter the internal Force of the snow layers."

"Do you still remember the Skiing equipment he was wearing on his feet?"

Upon hearing this, Chen Xiong said: "You mean those two long boards?"

Zhou Yun nodded:

"Yes, this thing is the culprit that triggered the avalanche. It was its intervention that caused the already loose snow layers to form a certain resonance, which is why it facilitated the outbreak of this avalanche……"
