Chapter 21: Another Upgrade: Berserk State!

The next second, the moment Chu Chen tapped on the system, the long-lost system notification sound rang out once again.

【Congratulations to the host, the mission is complete. The mission rewards have been issued; please check them!】

【Congratulations to the host, you have received the reward: God-level Driving!】

【Congratulations to the host, you have received the reward: God-level Forgery!】

【Congratulations to the host, you have received the reward: Berserk State!】

【Congratulations to the host, you have received the reward: Attribute Points ×3!】

【Congratulations to the host, you have received the reward: Skill Points ×10!】

Looking at the mission rewards listed on the System Panel, Chu Chen couldn't help but raise the corners of his mouth.

At the same time, the stone that had been hanging in his heart finally dropped.

This trip to Mexico was quite smooth, and the rewards given by the system were all useful; none of them were useless!

Especially those two God-level skills, both were extremely practical!

One was God-level Driving, which could make one's driving technique for all modes of transport reach a state of perfection!

One was a God-level Forgery ability that could forge anything!

Chu Chen roughly understood this God-level Forgery; this technique could be described as heaven-defying!

As long as it was something he could think of, he could use this technique to create a perfect replica!

Documents, bills, paintings, handwriting—even forging banknotes was no problem at all; it was incredibly powerful!

If one truly mastered this technique, many criminal methods would become easy and effortless!

"Awesome, to think even banknotes can be forged..."

Looking at the skill description provided by the system, Chu Chen sighed softly.

Immediately after, he didn't dawdle; he learned both skills on the spot, turning them into his own innate instincts!

After learning the skills, Chu Chen stretched, then turned his gaze to the "Berserk State."

"System, what does this Berserk State mean?"

Hearing Chu Chen's question, the system provided an explanation immediately:

【Host, hello! Berserk State is one of the system's status-type skills. It will automatically activate during critical moments. After Berserk State is activated, the system will, within a short period, increase your body's various attributes by a percentage based on your situation. The duration is 30 seconds!】

Holy crap!

Percentage-based damage increase?

Isn't this just Cheng Yaojin's passive?!

Just as the system finished speaking, Chu Chen understood the use of this skill!

To put it plainly, this was a passive skill that only took effect at critical moments!

The more critical the situation, the more his various attributes would be increased!

This skill was usually useless.

But in a life-or-death situation, it could save his life!

Right now, Chu Chen was undertaking the Ozaki Eight challenges and would face many unexpected situations.

With this skill on his side, it would definitely greatly increase his mission success rate!

Thinking this, Chu Chen made a prompt decision and tucked it into his pocket!

Soon, having handled this skill, he allocated the remaining three attribute points, adding 1 point to Constitution, 1 point to Force, and 1 point to Speed!

In this way, the six attributes representing physical function were back on the same level!

Besides attribute points, this mission reward also included 10 skill points!

Skill points and attribute points were of the same nature.

One was for improving physical attributes.

The other was for improving skills.

It was very easy to understand.

Right now, all of Chu Chen's skills were God-level, and above God-level, there was Super God-level.

Upgrading a God-level skill to Super God-level required 100 skill points.

Calculating it this way, 10 skill points were not enough at all, and certainly couldn't upgrade anything.

He could only save them for now and make plans once he had enough.

Thinking of this, Chu Chen stopped dwelling on the matter and closed the System Backpack to check the brand-new System Panel:

(Note: For the specific calculation rules of Shock Value, please refer to the system instructions! Shock Value can be used to purchase items in the System Mall!)

After browsing through the panel, Chu Chen cast his gaze onto the Shock Value column.

Right now, after this mission, he had harvested a total of 2 million in Shock Value!

Compared to the scale of "Simulated Crime", 2 million in Shock Value really isn't much!

Looking at it this way, this thing called Shock Value is truly a hard currency; harvesting a large amount of Shock Value is not as easy as one imagines!

However, 2 million is still a considerable income.

Because with this Shock Value, one can already buy many, many valuable items.

But Chu Chen did not spend them immediately; instead, he decided to save them for a rainy day.

……

……

……

At the same time.

Inside the Command Room!

After the Pursuit Team captured two contestants under his command, Zhang Yiwen walked in and conveyed the intentions of Director Chen and the leaders above to the five experts!

The central idea was just one!

As long as the rules allow, no matter what method is used, Chu Chen must be apprehended within one month!

He absolutely must not be allowed to complete the remaining seven challenges!

"Teacher Liu, the meaning from above is very clear: they do not wish to go against the original intention of the program. Therefore, feel free to do as you see fit; you can bring up any requirements you have to our Program Team."

After Zhang Yiwen finished speaking, Liu Xuemin nodded and said full of confidence: "Rest assured, please tell Director Chen that at most ten days, and I will be able to catch this kid."

"Liu Lao, with those words from you, I am relieved. Then that is all for now, I am heading back."

After Zhang Yiwen left, Liu Xuemin immediately walked in front of Lin Xu, leaned down, and said to him: "The higher-ups have approved our application for cross-border investigation authority. Lin, can you use satellite positioning to locate Chu Chen's position now?"

"As long as there is authority, this is not difficult to accomplish, but it will take time."

"How long will it take?"

"I estimate it will take an hour."

"No problem, then this task is entrusted to you."

After arranging Lin Xu's task, Liu Xuemin picked up the phone on the table and dialed a number.

Before long, the call connected.

Seeing this, Liu Xuemin spoke decisively: "Is this the Pursuit Team Command Room? I am Liu Xuemin, I am looking for your Captain Zhou Yun!"

"Understood, please wait a moment!"
