Chapter 255: The Topic Revealed, the Mission Begins!

Under the gaze of countless viewers across the globe, Zhang Yiwen let out a long breath, hesitating for quite a while before slowly speaking:

"I have now seen the topic for this competition..."

Watching Zhang Yiwen's hesitant expression, the hundreds of millions of viewers in the livestream room all had their hearts in their throats.

【Director Zhang, doing this again!】

【Can you stop keeping us in suspense!】

【I surrender to YOU!】

【Director Zhang's usual routine, I'm going to go eat, then take a nap, I should know the result by tomorrow morning!】

【Haha, you really understand him, brother!】

"This competition topic is worlds apart from the last one..."

【Isn't that just nonsense?】

【Haha!】

【Laughing to death!】

【Director Zhang, can we still play happily?】

"Whether for the contestants or for the entire Pursuit Team, this topic is very challenging, and I believe this competition will leave them with a very deep impression!"

Facing the camera, Zhang Yiwen said every word clearly.

As expected of a famous director, he brought the atmosphere of the entire livestream to life in just a few words!

And just at this moment, a piece of extremely tense BGM suddenly rang out in the livestream room!

Accompanied by this BGM, Zhang Yiwen looked up at the audience below the stage, then continued slowly:

"Now, I announce—the topic for the second match of the first season of 'Simulated Crime' is—"

At this moment, the atmosphere in all the livestream rooms reached an unprecedented high point.

Countless viewers were craning their necks in anticipation, waiting for him to reveal the topic!

The next second.

Under everyone's gaze, Zhang Yiwen flipped the topic card in his hand and whispered:

"Theft!"

Upon hearing this topic, the barrage in the livestream room was like a sudden mountain torrent, instantly flooding the screen crazily:

【Holy crap, theft?!】

【This topic is good!】

【Feels like it could be quite interesting!】

【Looking forward to Chu Chen's performance!】

【Extreme sports + theft?】

【It's just stealing things, right!】

【Wow, you are so smart!】

Compared to the first robbery, this theft is a non-violent crime in the true sense of the word!

Because of the difference in the nature of the crime, this topic might not lead to as many head-on conflicts between the contestants and the Pursuit Team as robbery did!

It will be more of a battle of wits in the shadows, greatly increasing the entertainment value of the livestream!

Hearing this topic, many viewers became interested and couldn't wait for the competition to start immediately!

Not long after the competition topic was announced, as the general director of the program, Zhang Yiwen announced the specific rules of this match to all participants and viewers:

"First, just like the last competition, the time limit for this competition is also one month. Within the one-month period, all contestants can engage in simulated criminal activities related to theft at any time and any place! No limit on the number of times!"

"Second, if any contestant is caught by the pursuit personnel during the competition, they will be eliminated immediately!"

"Third, every contestant will have an initial crime fund of 1,000, which will be provided to the contestants by the Program Team in a lump sum before the start of the competition!"

"Fourth, the amount of money stolen is the only assessment standard for this competition. After the competition ends, all contestants who successfully advance to the next round will receive a bonus equal to the amount stolen during the entire competition!"

"Fifth, the preparation time for this competition is 3 hours. After 3 hours, all contestants must leave the preparation room!"

"Sixth, all contestants must carry out a criminal activity related to the topic within 48 hours of leaving the preparation room, otherwise they will also be eliminated!"

"Seventh, before a contestant commits their first crime, no pursuit personnel are allowed to pursue the contestants!"

"Please make sure all contestants and pursuit personnel are familiar with the above competition rules. Any violation will result in immediate disqualification!"

"Alright, dear audience friends, I now announce that the second match of 'Simulated Crime' officially begins!"

As soon as Zhang Yiwen finished speaking, the countdown in the preparation room where the fifteen contestants were located started simultaneously!

And just at this moment, the camera turned to Chu Chen!

The moment Chu Chen appeared on the livestream screen, the entire barrage exploded!

【Finally saw Chu Chen!】

【Everyone stand up!】

【Chu Chen is the GOAT!】

【Brother Chen is too handsome!】

【The nightmare of the Pursuit Team is coming again!】

【Handsome handsome handsome handsome handsome handsome!】

【Even as a man, I think he looks really handsome!】

【Wherever Brother Chen goes, nothing grows!】

【The Program Team is already trembling!】

【Won't Chu Chen's crime plan this time be extreme sports + theft?】

【So looking forward to it!】

He is truly the traffic-driving powerhouse of the program; the moment his image appeared in the live broadcast room, the volume of bullet comments quickly reached an unprecedented peak, directly breaking through 100 million!

Upon seeing this data, all the staff in the background were stunned on the spot!

Just one shot, and it caused the real-time bullet comment volume to instantly double?

This fan cohesion is just too strong, isn't it?!

At this moment, in Participant 99!

The moment the countdown started, Chu Chen did not take any action.

Because at the same time, the System Panel's notification sound also rang out in his mind!

【Ding!】

【A new system mission has been issued, please check it in time, host!】

Hearing the system's notification sound, Chu Chen felt a joy in his heart and, without a second thought, summoned the System Panel and clicked on the new mission!

【Mission Name】: Announce the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse crime plan!

【Mission Time Limit】: 30 minutes

【Mission Content】: Announce the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse crime plan to the entire internet.

【Mission Reward】: Unknown!

【Failure Penalty】: Unknown!

Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse?

After roughly browsing through the system mission, Chu Chen understood at once what the system wanted him to do!

If nothing goes wrong, it mostly wants him to imitate the Four Horsemen from the hit crime movie "Now You See Me" from his past life and carry out four theft-related criminal activities.

Chu Chen is no stranger to the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

It was originally just a religious symbol representing four disasters before the end of the world: Plague, War, Famine, and Death.

From ancient times to the present, these four disasters have all been regarded by humanity as major threats capable of ending civilization.

When they all appear, the end of the world for humanity will arrive!

In the movie "Now You See Me," the Four Horsemen represent four magicians whose abilities are all different.

This time, the system having him announce the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse to the entire internet is just wanting him to replicate some of the plot points from the movie to complete this crime theme!

Speaking of "Now You See Me," Chu Chen is very familiar with it.

Back then, when he watched this movie, he was deeply attracted by the various god-level operations of the protagonist group!

Things like escape techniques, Disappearing Technique, Rain Control Technique, and using magic to rob banks—even thinking back on them now makes one's blood boil!

One must know that the level of magic in this world is also extremely lacking!

If he can really successfully replicate the operations inside, it will definitely change their perception of magic and criminal activities like theft!
