Chapter 70: Sensation in South Africa, High-Level Shock!

On both sides of the boundless highway.

It was all vast stretches of wilderness.

Under the sunlight, the scattered palm trees appeared extremely weary, as if they had come to a standstill.

Driving the newly hijacked arms transport vehicle, Chu Chen sped along, heading straight for Belgravia Mountain!

After leaving the crime scene, he roughly inspected the spoils on this arms transport vehicle.

It turned out that one wouldn't know until one looked.

And once he looked, he was startled.

The weaponry on board was enough to equip a special assault team.

Anything he could think of could basically be found inside!

Micro Remote-Controlled Bombs, Remote-Controlled C4, RPGs, Graphite Rockets, Rocket Launchers, various firearms, Bulletproof Vests, Individual Night Vision Devices, and so on and so forth—all of them fresh from the arsenal, every single one a rare treasure!

Some of the equipment hadn't even cooled down yet!

【Holy crap, is God Chu about to pull off something big!】

【God Chu, just drive the truck back to the country and put it on the shopping cart; I'm pre-ordering a Barrett!】

【I see a prison sentence in your future!】

【The Program Team is shivering in fear!】

【Program Team: We asked you to simulate a robbery, and you hijacked an arms transport vehicle???】

【With so much weaponry, is God Chu planning to unify Africa!】

【Don't say that, God Chu actually has the strength to do it...】

【The Program Team is under immense pressure!】

【This show is getting more and more criminal!】

【So looking forward to it! So looking forward to it!】

Hundreds of millions of viewers were typing barrage comments one after another!

At this moment, the entire livestream room was nothing but barrage comments!

The livestream footage could no longer be seen at all!

As of now, the official Huaxia livestream room alone had surpassed 900 million concurrent viewers, hitting a new high once again!

In addition, the exclusive livestream rooms of major continental television networks were also extremely popular!

Even the ASEAN United Satellite TV, which had the lowest popularity, had broken the 200 million mark!

Others like CBS, Fourth Channel, and SBS, among other major networks, all had popularity levels around 500 to 600 million!

As for South Africa TV, where the incident took place, it went without saying; it had soared from an initial 200 million all the way to 800 million, with all premiere data second only to the official Huaxia livestream room, ranking first among all continental television networks!

The reason for this current situation was all thanks to Chu Chen!

If he hadn't made his move just now, the popularity in the exclusive livestream rooms certainly wouldn't have skyrocketed to this extent!

However, Chu Chen was unaware of these matters.

Just now, the reason he let them call the police was simply to gain more Shock Value; he really had no other intentions.

Because for this world, hijacking an arms transport vehicle could definitely be called a sensational case; even if they didn't call the police, the South African authorities would know sooner or later and take corresponding measures.

It was better to use this to reap more benefits.

At this moment, the Shock Value within the system had already gone crazy!

In just a few short minutes, it had increased by another 10 million-plus!

It was just damn exhilarating!

……

……

……

Meanwhile!

Upon learning that Chu Chen had appeared in South Africa and hijacked an arms transport vehicle, the top brass of the South African National Defence Force headquarters and the board of directors of the Amsco Company were in an uproar and attached great importance to the matter!

Because hijacking an arms transport vehicle was no small matter!

If these weapons were accidentally leaked, the impact on the entirety of South Africa would be enormous!

After the incident, the stationed National Defense Force immediately contacted the Police Headquarters and joined the operation to track down Chu Chen!

Furthermore, the Amsco Company also issued a notice on Twitter regarding this matter, claiming that they would definitely hold the relevant personnel accountable, and tagged the official "Simulated Crime" Twitter account!

In the end, it was the relevant departments of Huaxia that stepped in to calm the situation down.

But even so, the South African authorities stated that they would not give up on the pursuit of Chu Chen, because the matter of the weaponry was of great importance; no matter what, they had to recover this batch of lost weapons!

As for Chu Chen, if they could catch him, they would hand him directly over to Huaxia!

Judging by the tone of the National Defense Force person in charge, this time, they were likely going to mobilize the strength of the entire nation to investigate this case!

And the facts were indeed so!

After this news was released, the entire South African National Defence Force immediately entered a state of first-level combat readiness, with the navy, army, and air force all poised for action!

Furthermore, not only in Cape Province, but the Police Headquarters in other provinces were also all standing by to cooperate with the local Stationed Troops!

For a time.

The entire South Africa became lively because of this robbery by Chu Chen!

……

At this moment, inside the Command Room of the National Defense Force headquarters!

On the massive DLP Large Screen, the surveillance footage transmitted back from the scene by the Reconnaissance Drone was playing!

In the footage, the arms transport vehicle hijacked by Chu Chen was speeding north along the Airport Highway!

Seeing this scene, a middle-aged Black man with two gold stars on his shoulders immediately said to an old man beside him:

"Report, sir, our Reconnaissance Drone has locked onto the target!"

Hearing this, the Black officer nodded: "Have you verified the munitions in his vehicle?"

"It has been verified. These munitions were originally intended to equip the African Badger Special Assault Team; they were an order placed by the Cape Province special forces with the Amsco Company last month."

"So, he should have an Anti-Materiel Weapon in his vehicle?"

"Yes, sir!"

Having received a definitive answer, the Black old man let out a long breath, and only after a good while did he issue an order:

"Pass on my order: all Armored Reconnaissance Vehicles standing by near the Arid Highway are to intercept the target from the northwest and northeast directions respectively! Then, notify the Air Force Command immediately and have them dispatch all Armed Helicopters to provide support with live ammunition! Additionally, tell all soldiers participating in this pursuit that the criminal has an Anti-Materiel Weapon in his vehicle, so they must proceed with caution!"

Once this order was issued, all the pursuit personnel were deployed!

Besides this, Police Headquarters from various regions also rushed to provide support from all directions, speeding toward the direction of the Airport Highway!

At the same time!

Over in Huaxia!

The Expert Group also received news of Chu Chen beginning his crime at the same time!

Hearing the notification, Chen Zijin couldn't help but sigh: "This guy's movements are truly fast enough; it's only been a few days and he's already started a new crime..."

Hearing this, Liu Xuemin nodded and analyzed: "Indeed, it seems he must have realized something and is intentionally accelerating the pace of his crimes."

"Most likely; if nothing goes wrong, he has very likely anticipated our direction of investigation..."

"Do you have any leads?" Liu Xuemin asked.

Chen Zijin shook his head: "The work of the Screening Team has not yet made any critical progress. Based on the clues we currently possess, we cannot yet determine the specific location of his next challenge. However, I don't think it's a big problem; as long as he is still committing crimes, we have a chance to turn the tables!"
