[Monthly Ticket Giveaway] [Ten Thousand Subscriptions Reflection]

[Monthly Ticket Giveaway] + [Ten Thousand Subscriptions Reflection]

Although I actually hit ten thousand subscriptions at the beginning of last month, because my update schedule was too sluggish last month, I never found the time to organize this.

(Taking advantage of the fact that I just finished updating, I’m feeling bold enough to speak!)

Let’s get to the main point first!

To give back for everyone’s support, I have paid for some small gifts out of my own pocket. The list is as follows—

[Drink More Cold Water Prize (25+25=50 people)]: Star Guardian Akali Mug *1

[Run If You Can’t Win Prize (10+10=20 people)]: Handmade single resin keycap, choose one between Jin Kesi/Hot and Sour Noodles *1

Reference style shown in image ↓

[Crazy Rank Climber Prize (10+10=20 people)]: Logitech custom-made mouse pad. The quality and texture are top-notch, the kind with double-stitched edges that won’t fray for seven or eight years.

[Lucky Winner Grand Prize (1 person)]:

League of Legends Little Legend & Pop Mart official collaboration blind box set, full set of 12 (Ahri, Akali, Lux, Irelia, Talon, Orianna, Janna, Riven, Teemo, Gwen, Yone, Yasuo (excluding the hidden Gwen figure)).

The official Taobao retail price is 790 RMB. If you win and don’t like it, you can exchange it for a 500 RMB red envelope, and I’ll just keep the set myself~

[Giveaway Time]: August 1st–August 7th. Anyone who participates within these seven days counts as entered; the order of entry does not matter at all.

I will livestream the drawing in the group on August 8th, and I will post a separate chapter to announce the results afterward to ensure it is fair, just, and transparent!

Next is: The number of winners.

Alliance Leaders are exempt from the draw and can choose any full set (excluding the Grand Prize).

The top 20 on the reader leaderboard are exempt from the draw and can choose one item (excluding the Grand Prize).

Then there are the two methods: [Monthly Ticket] and [Light of the Great God].

Every monthly ticket cast counts as one entry. The draw number is the "Monthly Ticket Serial Number" automatically generated by Qidian when you vote.

Each monthly ticket has a unique code (for example, if you cast 20 at once, you get 20 consecutive winning codes from 1 to 20).

How to check: You can click on the monthly ticket section in any book, click [Monthly Ticket Commemorative Book], and you can look up your serial number.

Next is lighting up the [Light of the Great God].

The Light of the Great God requires a full subscription to all books under the author's account to light up. Because the author has an old book, it is quite difficult to achieve, and currently, only about 130 readers have it.

Like the monthly ticket, the Light of the Great God also has a unique "Initial Activation Number," which serves as the winning number.

In short—as long as you have cast a monthly ticket or lit up the Light of the Great God, you have directly participated in the event. No extra steps are needed; just come to claim your prize after the 8th~~

(The two prize pools are calculated independently with an equal number of prizes, but you can participate in both. If you win twice, you don't need to exchange for cash.)

(Because the number of Light of the Great God activations is very low, the winning rate is at least 30%!)

(The Lucky Winner Grand Prize is drawn from the monthly ticket pool~)

The gifts aren't many or heavy, but the total budget is nearly three thousand big ones. It’s just a small token of my appreciation~~~

That’s it!

Divider line ——————————————————

Below is the [Ten Thousand Subscriptions Reflection] that is a month late.

If you aren't interested, you can skip it~~~

So first, as a newbie in my second year of officially entering the industry, hitting ten thousand subscriptions is definitely very happy. Two years ago, I certainly wouldn't have dared to imagine it.

Once again, thank you all for your support!!!

And then... I have to vent first!

For this book, I have been really, really, really, really, really unlucky!

Last year, before I even started writing, the outline was meant to join BLG—but on the very day I was writing the team selection chapter during the new book period, BLG missed the top 16 by exactly one game at the World Championship.

This directly led to me changing teams overnight, throwing everything away and rewriting it. The first version was even cursed at so badly that I lost 500 followers in one night.

In the end, I changed it to the current EDG.

(But looking at it now, not going to BLG was truly damn wise! It was a blessing in disguise~)

Then there was November 3rd, the day of the launch.

Yes, it was 12 hours after losing the finals 2-3 that I launched—because the recommendation schedule had to be that day; it couldn't be moved by even a day.

At that time, the real VIP follow-read count for this book was 8,000+. The editor said it was the fourth-ranked new book on the entire site for that period.

Calculating by a normal follow-read ratio of *0.7 (my sluggish old book was higher than this), my initial subscription should have been at least 5,600–6,000.

But the result after losing the finals was 2,800.

It was cut in half and then some!

Fortunately, when my old book finished, it was around this number, so I was still very satisfied and my mentality wasn't too affected... A different veteran author might not have been able to accept it and would have just cut the book.

It is no exaggeration to say that if it weren't for this incident, this book should have hit ten thousand subscriptions half a year ago.

Because what was affected wasn't just the initial subscription, but the most critical part: the anti-piracy period during the first three months when I was pushing for results.

Almost all other LoL books from that period were cut, and books that started later basically avoided the storm; only I took the full brunt of the impact.

Traffic plummeted, and the average subscription growth slowed down.

The unluckiest thing happened a few days ago. I finally hit the "Grand Seal Push," the highest recommendation on Qidian that a book can only get once in its lifetime, but I happened to collide with Huwei starting a new book on the same day—his new book resource package directly squeezed out my prime time slot at 8 PM!

The effect was slashed by 70%!

And it just happened to squeeze out only one person, and it just happened to be me!!!

(The key is, this was purely a manual operational error by the staff; normally, there would be no need to squeeze, as he has an independent position.)

The result was that a recommendation you can only get once in a lifetime ended up performing worse than the most basic small recommendation.

It is truly damn unlucky!

Fortunately, fortunately, I finally hit ten thousand subscriptions, which can be considered fulfilling a wish.

Let me talk about what I think is the biggest difference after hitting ten thousand subscriptions.

It should be the creative mindset.

Thinking back to the beginning, when I wrote about S12, people said the era was too recent and it wouldn't work; writing about EDG, people said a championship team has no thrill and it wouldn't work; writing matches in detail, people said it wouldn't work; focusing on mechanics, people said it wouldn't work; writing a 3-0 win, people said it wouldn't work; not choosing an all-Chinese roster for the second championship, people said it wouldn't work...

Everyone should know that I really like reading comments and often take in everyone's opinions.

But after accepting too many opinions, I often start to doubt myself: is writing like this actually correct?

And this achievement of ten thousand subscriptions has proven with facts:

It works!

It just works!

After all, ten thousand subscriptions is basically the ceiling for the LoL genre, especially in the environment of the last few years. This can be considered as having gained the recognition of the vast majority of readers in this category.
