Chapter 37: Territory Construction and Natural Wonders (Please keep reading!!)
For Li Ang, the tavern stories of Bretonnia were merely one link in his plan.
His time was very tight.
Although he was literally exhausted to the point of death every day, he was still working hard.
For the Arctic region, where every second counted, a few days were enough to bring about earth-shaking changes to the territory.
Constantly manipulating the flow of Magic was also a tremendous mental burden for Li Ang. It would take a month for the system to naturally carry out large-scale changes, and Li Ang did not have that much time, so he could only do it himself.
Gradually twisting rugged mountains and canyons into plains, soothing the originally irritable earth elements into a stable state, and recalling natural elements to the coastline to turn the originally cursed schools of fish and the Chaos Sea into a sea of nature rich in nutrients and Magic—there were many things for Li Ang to do.
And no one could help him.
But for the Bretonnia serfs, what they saw was scenery they would never dream of seeing in their lives, nor could they ever have imagined.
They watched as the original wasteland turned into a swamp within a day, and then watched the pure black humus soil that was born after the swamp receded; that rich life element could push the vitality of crops to the limit.
Although it might not be as good as the magic-bred crops of Bretonnia that could be harvested four times a year, looking at the fractured Great Rift in the sky, the serfs also believed they were protected by the gods. Some serfs were even specifically dispatched to the swamp area to work, to screen and select seeds and other things within the swamp area that could be used for farming.
Coupled with the vast amount of farming knowledge that had appeared in their minds, as well as some small details, the serfs still began to build some houses, despite being in this remote northern permafrost.
They began to try to plant some crops on this vast land.
This was also what Li Ang had them do.
There was no need to worry about insufficient water supply, because the ruler of this region had the ability to manipulate wind and rain. Irrigation could be done when needed.
All they had to do was follow the knowledge and instincts that emerged in their minds, sow the grain seeds that had been re-irrigated with Magic and brought by the Knightly Order, and then watch those plants sprout and take root overnight, taking good care of these plants.
For the serfs, even their shallow knowledge made them understand that under this high-intensity magic irrigation, even without looking at the black soil, this would become a fertile field with abundant produce.
"……In this way, the farmland is ready."
Looking at the continuous fields before him, Li Ang nodded with satisfaction in the Observatory.
Through the high-altitude bird's-eye view, he had already seen that on the vast plain far from the Myriad Phenomena Labyrinth, hundreds of serfs had begun to leave the Landing Site and had established a settlement in the surrounding area.
This place, which the serfs called the 'God-Given Plain', was the largest plain area in the Broken Lands; it only had some small hills and rifts inside, which had already been leveled by Li Ang using Magic. As for the more distant mountains, Li Ang could not yet manage to level them directly with his current Magic.
But for now, within the range of Stonehenge, this irregular large plain, according to the current plan, was probably enough for hundreds of thousands of people to live on.
'Next is the mineral development of the territory and the construction of preliminary industrial facilities... all of which require people...'
Looking at the various crystal-clear minerals and special prompts in his field of vision, Li Ang thought about the future planning of the territory while manipulating Magic to turn into a fine drizzle.
Because after this thorough investigation of the territory, he discovered that the Broken Lands was actually a fairly rich mineral area. There were two open-pit high-quality iron ore areas alone, and one copper mine. The estimated reserves were not yet clear, but since the Iron Mountains had appeared, there was probably no need to worry about reserves. There were also dozens of other areas where the mineral materials could not be identified due to unclear technology, as well as a series of industrial ruins left by previous civilizations that could be utilized.
There were four ruins of previous civilizations suitable as outposts, and two sites for industrial parks; the previously expeditionary civilization had left Li Ang a rich legacy of site selections.
As for safety, although those scattered Chaos demon armies would come in to cause trouble, large-scale incursions were no longer possible.
The demon armies of the God of Struggle had retreated to the edges; after all, being too close meant giving Li Ang free Magic and technology points. Only those demons that had adapted to the environment could reach the range of Stonehenge.
And the Knights from Bretonnia, after a series of repairs and reconstruction, had begun to step out of the protection of Stonehenge through their worship of the Holy Grail, launching the first round of attacks on the demon giant tree about fifty kilometers away.
It could only be described as a resounding success; the demons there had no idea that Humans could also counter-attack demons.
Under that rotting giant tree, the Knights completed a massacre.
With the death of twenty-four Knights and seventy-three wounded, they sent thousands of demons into the void and successfully cast the Swamp Corruption Technique around the giant tree, enclosing the giant tree within the range.
Now a portion of the Norscan people were heading to the giant tree to establish an outpost; if the rhythm remained normal, Li Ang would soon be able to obtain his second subsidiary outpost.
The population gap was large, but these all had solutions.
Coupled with the fact that Li Ang used his identity to set the pace among the players, the news of the players being summoned one after another and the information from Bretonnia were all grasped by Li Ang through the forums. He did not need any so-called confidential information that was too detailed; the flow of prices and population could not be faked.
The great migration from Norsca, the expedition from Bretonnia—Li Ang's civilization was destined to forge a true civilization characteristic in blood and fire, allowing his civilization to formally appear before everyone.
This might be bloody, but this was also the necessary rhythm.
'Prompt: Your Norsca Outpost has been built! You have initially mastered a Natural Wonder!'
'Planet-level Natural Wonder: Corrupted Life Oak!'
'This Wonder has a variety of forms to choose from. You can change the form of the Life Oak through Magic manipulation or various means to freely select the bonuses you want!'
Li Ang, who was floating weightlessly in the Observatory facing the infinite magic network, looked at the system prompt and raised his eyebrows in surprise.
Perhaps there might not need to be heavy casualties after all?
After all, this Planet Wonder might be more powerful than he had imagined.
Blinking as he looked at the series of choices brought to him by the miracle of life, the smile on Li Ang's face grew increasingly rich.
Sorry, I will make up for it with four chapters tonight. Pure setting chapters are not very good either, I am sorry to everyone.
