Chapter 43: Giant Beast Hunter (Please follow!)
Wufuruike did not hesitate to take the women out to sea together, heading for the Siren Sea zone to prepare to kill that hellish giant beast.
He did not bring his own soldiers; instead, he called a group of the old, weak, women, and children to board the ship, ready to use camouflage to deceive the monster's not-so-sensitive perception.
As a Norscan, or rather, as a Norscan who had once witnessed the cruelty of the Dark Gods and also witnessed the great power of Li Ang, Wufuruike was very clear in his heart. Although Li Ang did not say it, Wufuruike knew all too well the consequences of not treating people as people.
Wufuruike had not forgotten that dark factory assembly line. Now that something was obstructing Li Ang's plan, what Wufuruike had to do was clear away this obstacle and let the plan proceed unimpeded.
As for the idea that Li Ang was a good person and therefore there was no need to worry about anything, Wufuruike did not believe it.
Wufuruike had seen the capriciousness of the Dark Gods, and it was precisely because of this that he felt awe toward the restrained Li Ang. If Li Ang were not restrained, what could a god with a physical body in reality do? One cannot point a gun at a good person, otherwise, one really dares not imagine what they might do afterward.
Therefore, Wufuruike decided to kill the guy who was affecting his performance.
"Right here?"
"Yes..."
Looking at the vast, fog-filled ocean before them and the clearly defined boundary of the seawater, the Chieftain's Daughter's sapphire-like eyes were filled with a fear of the unknown.
They had already tried sailing along the edge of the coastline before, and as expected, the Norscan tribes who worshipped the Chaos gods had already built fortresses along the coast; they did not even try to attack when they saw the ship, but simply fired fireballs and arrows from there, making it impossible for them to sail along the coastline.
There were indeed some who worshipped the Blood God and howled, intending to rush up, but others from the Chaos tribes would often appear behind them and drag them back.
Although they worshipped the Dark Gods, they were not stupid.
In terms of obeying divine oracles, they had their own so-called clever choices.
Like the Norscans who walked out of the Broken Lands, everyone had a sacred Brand on their body, and the wound in the sky of that place was still fresh in their memory; only fanatics would rush over to execute so-called secret edicts.
But such people usually rushed to the battlefields of Kislev and Prag, and it was not the turn of these guys in the mountain gullies to execute them. But the fact that they could not sail along the coastline was an objective reality, so they could only take a ship full of the old, weak, women, and children and start heading toward the Siren Sea in the middle of the Frozen Sea.
"What a bunch of bullying, sneaky cowards..."
When I brought a group of soldiers over, you didn't even dare to let out a fart. How come you all came out as soon as I left?
Looking at that stretch of foggy Siren Sea, Wufuruike looked at the women, children, and elderly trembling in fear behind him, and a look of disdain flashed across his face.
But that's fine, I'll kill them all while I'm at it.
Squinting his eyes and staring at the fog-filled sea, Wufuruike held his breath, listening to the Winds of Magic and the revelations given by nature around him.
Previously, some information seemed to have flashed through Wufuruike's mind once again.
Just like the various wisdoms Li Ang had given him before, what was flashing through Wufuruike's mind now was also all kinds of knowledge.
It was just that this time it was slightly different from the other production and agricultural knowledge. In his mind, there emerged how to systematically operate the abilities of the Brands of wisdom, struggle, and life on his body.
How to stimulate his vitality, how to improve his judgment, how to strengthen his ability to struggle, and a series of spell-like abilities all flashed through Wufuruike's mind. This included the ability to use the power of life to explore and detect living things nearby.
This was the result obtained from Introduction to Magic Research.
Although Wufuruike had absolutely no idea what the hell Introduction to Magic Research was.
Looking at the foggy sea, Wufuruike's mind moved slightly, and the Brands and Runes shining on his body gradually faded into his flesh and blood, without any abnormal state. He looked just like an ordinary person without abilities. He deliberately wore a hood and leather to cover his scent, and made some arrangements to make himself look like an old Norscan pilot.
And sure enough, following this warm-up, the previously calm Siren Sea produced a slight disturbance.
A will, a subtle existence, was slowly moving over under the pitch-black water.
That cunning sense perceived that another ship full of young women and children had been sent up, along with an unknown guiding man. But it didn't matter; although it had just awakened, not being picky about food had always been its good habit.
Before, it felt that the group of people on that ship were hard to beat, and the power on it was a bit scary, so it hid far away. But it didn't expect that there would be such rich food delivered to its door one after another now.
Then excuse me, I'm going to eat.
The monster lurking on the seabed squinted its eyes and opened its big mouth, preparing to leap out of the ocean and swallow the entire dragon boat of women and children in one gulp in its favorite leaping-swallowing posture.
But the moment it leaped out of the sea, it saw the red-bearded strong man on the dragon boat angrily gripping a shattered iron sword shining with a red phantom, watching the figure leaping out of the sea, he immediately raised the weapon in his hand high and let out a roar that shook the entire Siren Sea.
"You lowly beast actually dare to obstruct the great cause of the Lord?!"
"You dare to obstruct my achievements?!"
Wufuruike roared, his body almost burning with three different colors of light.
He seemed to instinctively understand how to use three different characteristics in battle to help him hunt giant beasts.
The crimson light made the long sword in his hand seem to undergo some unusual alienation; the invisible blade, accompanied by Wufuruike's sword-swinging action, even instantly cut a huge gash in the lower half of the Siren in mid-air.
The massive Siren let out a terrified scream because of the injury, its terrifying body of at least over thirty zhang rolling in the ocean, wanting to crazily retaliate against Wufuruike who attacked it.
But the blue light appeared, and he and the entire dragon boat's figure would instantly disappear into the air, then dodge the monster's roaring attack and appear behind it.
This kind of manipulation should be extremely exhausting, but the green radiance made him look refreshed in the blink of an eye.
He seemed to have merged with his past life as a giant beast hunter, instinctively mastering these powers and turning them into better trump cards for harming giant beasts.
Looking at the monster's defenseless back, Wufuruike grinned and swung his sword down again. And as the red mist flashed, the broken long sword in his hand seemed to instantly turn into a chainsaw blade, tearing open the Siren's skin, flesh, and internal organs once again amidst the Siren's painful screams.
Just as Wufuruike was about to jump off the dragon boat and finish off this monster's life as the Siren's screams gradually weakened, he suddenly felt the Winds of Magic convey some anomaly to him.
In the waves of the sea, in the fog, there seemed to be some non-human existences.
And just as Wufuruike looked toward the source of that perception in confusion, an arrogant and furious voice sounded from the fog.
"Savage over there! Stop at once! You are harming the offspring of the Sea God Mathlann!"
"..."
Mathlann? Who? The illiterate Wufuruike was not sure about the source of that voice's arrogance; he just gripped the long sword in his hand with some doubt and roared at the source of the voice:
"If you want others to do things, shouldn't you come out yourself first!"
