Chapter 1509: Magic Resistance, Thunder Control

As for speed, the bedroom was too cramped for Xia Duo to test it, but since both speed and strength rely on physical constitution, he was certain that his speed had also increased significantly.

Furthermore, Xia Duo's Bloodline Awakening was a gradual change from the inside out, rather than a sudden mutation from the outside in, so even though his constitution had changed noticeably, no loss of control actually occurred.

Such as stepping on the ground and leaving a pit, flying out and hitting a wall, or accidentally crushing something when picking it up.

None of these happened at all.

To Xia Duo's own feeling, it was no different from before; only the upper limit had been raised. In fact, even without this Bloodline Awakening, he rarely pushed his physical fitness to the limit.

Basically, as long as one is human, one is rarely in a state of being at the limit.

Before crossing over, there was a period when Xia Duo tied sandbags to his legs every day; apart from feeling his legs were a bit heavier, it didn't actually have much of an impact.

If external objects like sandbags are like this, how difficult could changes to the body itself be!

Or rather, this is the adaptive instinct of the human body.

……

For Xia Duo, as long as his constitution is sufficient, that is enough. The reason humans are human is because they are good at using tools and can break through physical limits.

Even if his strength were ten times greater now, it would still be no match for a gravity spell, and if he returned to Earth, he wouldn't even compare to an excavator.

Compared to the changes in his constitution, Xia Duo valued the changes in those special abilities more!

First are 【Water Control】 and 【Wind Control】. These two bloodline abilities could initially only guide a portion of water elements and wind elements; creating water and creating wind were considered his forte.

But now, Xia Duo can perceive the Water Elemental Plane and the Wind Elemental Plane very clearly—not the special planes where wind and water are absolutely dominant, but the conceptual Source of Water and Source of Wind.

Moreover, he has a feeling that as long as he is willing, no one will likely be able to normally cast spells related to wind and water elements in front of him!

Referring to past experience, this does not just involve Creation School spells related to elements and energy; even other spells with elements related to wind and water will be affected.

Or to put it more bluntly, almost all spells will be affected.

This will give Xia Duo a huge advantage in a Spell Duel!

……

Additionally, Xia Duo discovered that he also has some resonance with the 【Positive Energy Plane】. Part of the radiance appearing on his skin is related to this resonance, while the other part, if he hasn't guessed wrong, should be related to the Soul.

However, he has not yet delved into the Soul, still following his initial plan to gradually check and test the changes in each ability.

Next is 【Cloud Riding】.

Compared to before, he can now choose not to have visible clouds and mist appear, but it will still be accompanied by some subtle changes in aura, just much more low-key.

Furthermore, this ability now seems to have become a passive attribute.

That is to say, in a normal state, Xia Duo is always in the 【Cloud Riding】 state; if he wants to walk on the ground, he needs to exert extra effort!

But this is nothing; at most, it will just make people think he has permanently cast Flight on himself.

On the other hand, 【Dragon's Majesty】 has caused his temperament to change again. Although his appearance hasn't changed, if it were someone unfamiliar, they probably wouldn't think the Xia Duo before and after this Bloodline Awakening was the same person.

Xia Duo does not reject such changes, but it requires careful familiarization and adjustment until he finds a state that best fits his current mindset.

The subsequent changes to 【Dragon's Magic Resistance】 are even greater!

Before this Bloodline Awakening, only a very shallow part of Xia Duo's skin exhibited the so-called 【Magic Resistance Effect】—that is, the connection with the Magic Net String had a certain stress response mechanism.

But now, he has discovered that the 【Magic Resistance Effect】 has penetrated deep into his body; this part of the connection with the Magic Net String has become very complex, as if some powerful spell had been permanently cast.

In fact, it is likely closer to that!

When Xia Duo held the Adamantine Knife close to his skin, as his own heart produced a slight sense of resistance, the connection between his skin and even some subcutaneous tissue with the Magic Net String underwent a rapid mutation.

It became more orderly and rhythmic, as if it were a naturally created Magic Effect.

Manifested on the physical level, the knife was resisted by the skin; a thin, invisible Protective Field extended from within his body, forcefully holding the knife back.

Xia Duo could do this before this Bloodline Awakening, but now, as he continued to apply force, the knife could no longer easily pierce this Protective Field as it had before.

Instead, it grew stronger as the resistance grew, and it wasn't until Xia Duo exerted nearly half his strength that this seemingly exceptionally thin Protective Field, which clung to the surface of his skin, showed slight signs of collapsing.

Continuing to apply force would likely break through the protection, but with such force, it would probably be hard to stop.

Xia Duo is very clear that the effect of 【Dragon's Magic Resistance】 is more focused on spells, rather than the skin itself being able to withstand the stabbing and cutting of an Adamantine Knife.

Of course, compared to physical defense, Xia Duo values its effects in terms of Magic more.

Similar to the testing method when he first acquired this ability, it started with elemental and energy resistance tests, followed by targeted spell tests.

The former is basically immune to elemental damage; even if a Fireball exploded in his palm, Xia Duo would only feel the explosive rise in temperature at that moment, not the damage.

As for spell protection, it is closer to an 【Anti-Magic Domain】; any targeted spell cannot form a connection with him.

Other non-targeted spells will also directly disintegrate after hitting him.

That is to say, from now on, Xia Duo can almost ignore all Transmutation spells directly aimed at him (including curses and disintegration)!

As for Creation School spells, they largely do not directly target the target, meaning that as long as he can run, he can just run away.

At this moment, Xia Duo felt he had gained infinite freedom!

To a certain extent, it even made him feel more excited than the previously speculated consciousness resurrection; after all, consciousness resurrection was only a speculation, while the Magic Resistance Effect was visible to the naked eye.

As for 【Thunder Control】 and 【Call Wind and Rain】, they were indeed acquired as Xia Duo expected in his dream, but compared to the changes in the previous abilities, these two new abilities seemed somewhat weak.

Thunder Control is merely a relatively powerful means of control and lethality, and he can also achieve Call Wind and Rain using spells.

Although Xia Duo had always wanted to acquire them before this Bloodline Awakening, when he truly acquired them, Xia Duo did not feel all that joyful.

Perhaps this is what is called "what you can't get is always restless"!

After testing a few times, Xia Duo lay back down on the bed, closed his eyes, and focused his mind until he perceived his Soul!
