Chapter 1563: Monthly Income of One Hundred Thousand, Closer to the Essence
Xia Duo made a rough estimate; he could produce one Standard Arcane Crystal every three seconds or so, which was less than half the production efficiency compared to the one per second he achieved during experiments in Seventon.
However, there was no helping that; the device itself was currently running at full capacity on the first gear, and if it weren't for the need to synchronize with the adapter component functions, reaching one per second shouldn't have been a problem.
As for shifting to the second gear or higher, at the current stage, only the second gear could be activated for a short time, but for Xia Duo, as long as it couldn't run for a long time, it was better to just use the first gear; this even extended the device's service life!
In fact, even calculating based on the current production efficiency of one Standard Arcane Crystal every three seconds, it could still produce over twenty thousand per day.
Over the course of a month, that would be several hundred thousand.
At this stage, besides "feeding" his Personal Space, Xia Duo didn't have that many places where he needed Arcane Crystals, so the current production efficiency was completely sufficient.
The only thing lacking was perhaps the Arcane Crystal Extractor; due to time constraints, Xia Duo had only prepared this one, and if he didn't prepare a few more, it might break very soon under such high-frequency usage.
Currently, all the Arcane Energy produced by the Mythallar device radiated out in the form of a field, but the device itself had restrictions; once the field intensity reached a certain limit, it would return the energy to the Magic Net.
Before that point, if there were no working Arcane Crystal Extractors, all the Arcane Energy produced thereafter would be wasted.
"Niya, come here! Let me show you something fun again!"
"What is it?"
Niya was half-doubting, thinking Xia Duo was just trying to trick her into getting close, so she hesitated as she approached, but still kept a small distance.
Seeing this, Xia Duo couldn't help but shake his head repeatedly; what happened to the trust between people?
"Alright, no more joking. I'm going to teach you how to make this device; without it, we'll have much fewer resources in the future!"
"How do I do that? Right here?" Niya asked.
There was no Alchemy Array here, and even the Magic Net environment wasn't one she was familiar with; seeing that the device was quite intricate, she had no confidence in completing it under these conditions.
"Don't worry, it's very simple. You'll understand what's going on once you see the blueprint."
As he spoke, Xia Duo took the design drawing of the Arcane Crystal Extractor from his Personal Space and handed it to Niya. The reason he called it a "blueprint" was because a blueprint could assist with Spellcasting, rather than just being a drawing that recorded information.
Niya took the blueprint, glanced at it, exclaimed that it was impossible, and then began to examine it carefully without blinking.
Xia Duo naturally knew what she was talking about, because this design drawing contained no content related to linking to the Magic Net, which meant this so-called Arcane Crystal Extractor was just an empty shell containing Mithril Components.
Yet, there was a theoretical empty shell right in front of them that was continuously spitting out Arcane Crystals, so Niya naturally felt it was incredible.
In fact, Xia Duo had felt something similar the first time he saw it. In the past, he had always wanted to explore methods for automatically manufacturing Magic Items, but his direction had always been to use some kind of machine to replace the Spellcaster in linking the quasi-Magic Item to the Magic Net.
He never expected that within an Arcane Energy Field, quasi-Magic Items could actually link to the net automatically; this was simply an epoch-making technological revolution.
This meant that from now on, as long as they were within an Arcane Energy Field, even ordinary people could freely craft Magic Items that had practical uses.
Combined with mass production, it could almost allow an area to quickly enter a magical "electrical" age!
The only regret was that this thing couldn't be taken out of the Arcane Energy Field; it would be useless once taken out. But Xia Duo firmly believed that as long as technology developed in the future, it would definitely be possible to mass-produce real Magic Items.
The blueprint Xia Duo gave Niya, since it didn't involve the process of linking to the Magic Net, was actually just a relatively complex shape-shifting spell.
Processing it with an Alchemy Array would be more convenient, but if done by pure manual Spellcasting, with the assistance of the blueprint, it wouldn't be that difficult.
Niya only looked at it for a while before she understood all the details of this equipment, but she was still unclear about its operating Principles. "Xia Duo, what is going on here? Can this machine really work normally?"
"Yes. I'm not very clear on the reason for this either, but it's certain that this special field is the cause. If you're interested, you might as well study it."
Xia Duo's words weren't entirely the truth. As for the reason, he could roughly guess: it should be that the Arcane Energy existed in the form of a field, diffusing throughout the entire space, so items within this range that could react with it would do so.
It was similar to the combined effect of electromagnetic mutual induction and high-voltage breakdown in Earth physics; this was actually something closer to the essence of the world.
But neither Iolum nor Buluode, who discovered this phenomenon, had delved into it. In their view, this thing existed only to complement the Mythallar device; if it didn't exist, then so be it.
If it did exist, they wouldn't do any extra research; everything was guided by practicality.
Xia Duo was very interested in this, but he had always been busy with the Mythallar project and couldn't spare any free time to study it; once he returned to the Tower of Time, he would be tied up with a bunch of other things again.
If Niya was willing to invest time in this, Xia Duo would be more than happy to see it.
However, Niya refused. Her reason was—"I'd rather study my Communication Mythallar. At least until this goal is completed, I won't start any other projects."
"Fine, suit yourself!"
Xia Duo didn't force her. After all, he had a pile of projects on his hands, many of which were brought back from the Projection Plane; with the bloated manpower of the Research Institute back then, they couldn't have produced results in a short time.
Now that he was back on the Main Plane, with the Tower of Time's current level of just a few stray cats and dogs, they might not even be as useful as one of his project teams back then!
What Xia Duo truly valued was the new generation of Tower of Time Mages who had grown up through academic training. Of course, outstanding individuals like Niya and Aiboke, who could stand out even in the old era, would certainly be able to advance further after systematic training.
In general, with the Mythallar device already completed, Xia Duo's pressure was greatly reduced, and he had enough patience and confidence to play a long-term cultivation game.
……
Next, Xia Duo and Niya each began to produce Arcane Crystal Extractors. Xia Duo was familiar with the process, while Niya was not yet accustomed to operating with a blueprint in a state without an Alchemy Array.
The finished product Xia Duo produced functioned normally and was exquisite and beautiful in appearance, while the finished product Niya produced, aside from the basic Mithril Components being correct, was almost hideous to look at.
Even though they didn't look much different from the blueprint when viewed separately, they looked awkward no matter how you looked at them when put together.
