Chapter 1849: Investigation, Suspicions

The next day, while surveying the Old Mythallar nodes, Xia Duo spoke to Saijisi about the elves plotting against the Crown King's Library in Wuweilun.

Although Saijisi was not particularly concerned about such matters, he still provided some information currently held by Evereska:

"I need to check with Fear's Eye regarding the chamber of commerce you mentioned, but there are indeed spellcasters in the city making such plans.

"As for that Kalidusi of the Star Shadow family, I have an impression of him, but Fear's Eye has judged that he does not truly intend to take action."

Fear's Eye was the Elder in the Evereska Council of Elders responsible for intelligence work; his identity and background were very mysterious, and even Ougesi and Saijisi did not know his true identity.

Just like Xia Duo at this moment, who used the alias "Asuosi," he was not deeply questioned by Ougesi and the others.

After Saijisi finished speaking, he pulled Xia Duo and walked toward the next offset node.

"Yes, thanks to Evereska's excellent business environment, I am now the official president. And thank you, my Lord, for still remembering me. It has been five years since I last saw you at Lord Saian's banquet."

Nade said with a slight bow and a smile.

Saian was the Elder in the Evereska Council of Elders responsible for commerce and trade, who would occasionally summon merchant representatives in the city to attend banquets.

If Ougesi had heard Nade say this the day before, he might not have thought anything of it, but today, with the message from Saijisi's transmission as a preconceived notion, he immediately realized something was wrong.

The Funasi Chamber of Commerce was not some obscure small chamber of commerce, but a medium-sized one with a considerable scale. Nade had only attended a goodwill banquet summoned by Saian once in five years.

Either Saian's subordinates had deliberately ignored Nade and ignored the Funasi Chamber of Commerce, or Nade had deliberately avoided them!

Clearly, in Ougesi's mind, while Saian's subordinates might have canceled a representative's banquet qualification for some well-known reason, they would not have canceled it every single time for five years.

Then it could only be Nade's reason!
