Chapter 1887: Arcane Infusion Transformation Experiment

Next, Xia Duo called the Druid breeder over to ask a few simple questions, then, under the other's guidance, picked out five male rabbits in the best condition to bring into the Laboratory.

Since he was going to conduct a complete Arcane Infusion Transformation Ritual, and the test subject was an animal, Xia Duo didn't stand on ceremony; he directly grabbed a male rabbit and threw it onto the experiment table.

This little rabbit had been specially tamed by the Druid named "Meiye," so even after Xia Duo's rather rough handling, it still stayed quietly on the experiment table, motionless, and even emitted a comfortable purring sound.

"Little guy, sorry about this, sacrifice yourself for Magic!"

To prevent the rabbit from becoming restless or running around during the upcoming experiment, Xia Duo thoughtfully set up a fairly spacious small Force Field chamber for it.

Of course, one could also call it a prison cage.

After the preparations were complete, Xia Duo took out four Arcane Crystals and placed them around the small Force Field chamber; these were the essential consumables for the Spellcasting later.

The improved Transformation Ritual could be performed by someone other than an Arcanist, as long as they could obtain Arcane Crystals; possessing this kind of universality meant that in the future, relevant Magic Items could be manufactured directly, rather than having to be done by people, even if the proportion of Arcanists might be quite high in the future.

Looking at the four Standard Arcane Crystals on the experiment table, Xia Duo felt quite emotional; the Arcane Fire he had now was not the Arcane Fire of his original body, but one he had recreated.

Upon entering the Projection Plane, Arcane Fire would not follow, and to create Arcane Fire, one had to prepare a specialized Advanced Laboratory to assist in tearing the Magic Net.

This was not so easy; it wasn't until recently that he had converted the Secret Ritual Chamber under his bedroom into an Advanced Laboratory, and as for the creation process, it was actually quite simple, at least for the current Xia Duo.

"I hope I don't waste these days of accumulation!"

Although Xia Duo could use the real Arcane Crystals brought from the Main Plane for the experiment, those Arcane Crystals could be used to expand his Personal Space, to prevent running out of space when materializing Nether Scrolls and other scattered items.

He needed to expand his space at any time; as long as he wasn't going to die in the next second, he was unwilling to spend those Arcane Crystals.

Perhaps Xia Duo's movements just now had been too cautious; the experimental rabbit in the small Force Field chamber seemed to sense something, its head and legs starting to rub against the experiment table intermittently, as if ready to dash out at any moment.

At the same time, the purring sound in the little guy's mouth changed into a more nervous cooing, its little gray eyes spinning around, looking exactly like a brat trying to pull a trick.

For a moment, Xia Duo even wanted to switch to another rabbit, but unfortunately, a mere rabbit was not enough to make him waste a Force Field spell.

——【Arcane Infusion Transformation】!

As the Spellcasting began, the Magic Net Strings around the rabbit began to converge; perhaps it was true that rabbits in the magical world also had potential magical talent, as the experimental rabbit finally broke through the Druid's taming shackles and ran wildly in one direction like a madman.

But inside the small Force Field chamber, no matter which direction it ran, what awaited it was the "Near-at-Hand World's End" effect that it could not understand.

"Hiss—"

The little rabbit ran and squeaked, becoming panicked and losing its way; if one direction didn't work, it would switch to another, scurrying everywhere in the small Force Field chamber, but it could not change the reality of being unable to escape.

The spell was finally completed, and the little rabbit was still running wildly, but at this moment, in Xia Duo's eyes, it had already turned into a ball of light resembling a fluorescent sea urchin.

Of course, the densely packed Magic Net Strings that had aggregated together to form various complex shapes were far from what a sea urchin shape could describe; within these complex shapes lay the mysteries of Arcane Infusion Transformation.

On the experiment table, the four Arcane Crystals that had originally been placed around the small Force Field chamber had now turned into a mass of abundant, invisible energy, which merged into the little rabbit's body through the circulation of the Magic Net.

Xia Duo, who had long realized that biological organisms had extensive interactions with the Magic Net, had improved the Transformation Ritual to be far more efficient in its use of invasive energy than the one created by Sailuo.

The little rabbit had just endured a massive amount of Arcane Infusion, and in an extremely short period of time, yet the little guy was still jumping around; only now, it was able to "shake" the small Force Field chamber that trapped it.

Xia Duo was not sure if it was the resonance between the newly generated Arcane Energy Field in its body and the small Force Field chamber that caused it to disintegrate, or if the large amount of Magic Net Strings gathered by the Transformation Ritual had caused a destructive effect on the small Force Field chamber.

But regardless of which it was, this little rabbit seemed to be on the verge of a successful "prison break"!

Actually, Xia Duo was more hopeful that the little rabbit itself had acquired a special Spell Breaking ability; although he didn't expect the Arcane spell-breaking effect to compare to Magic Energy, as long as it existed, he would definitely be able to find a way to improve it in the future.

"15, 16, 17,..."

Xia Duo silently calculated the survival time of the experimental rabbit after the spell was completed; in the first minute, other than becoming more irritable, the little rabbit had no other adverse effects.

Even that irritability might have been caused by the intense vibration of the Magic Net during Spellcasting.

This was the drawback of using non-sentient experimental subjects; he could not obtain the direct feelings of the subject—whether it was feeling the vibration of the Magic Net, or because of being trapped continuously, or because its body was undergoing unbearable changes.

"30, 31, 32,..."

Time quickly exceeded 30 seconds, and the experimental rabbit still had not undergone any mutation; although it looked much safer than Magic Energy Infection, the possibility of obtaining an extraordinary bloodline through this had also further decreased.

"So what exactly did the Arcane Infusion change?"

With this doubt, Xia Duo continued to observe, while the timer did not stop; until the time reached one minute after the spell was completed, the experimental rabbit suddenly quieted down.

Even its little eyes, which had been very active, became dull and motionless.

Xia Duo, who had been monitoring the state of the experimental rabbit, knew very well that the little guy had not lost its vital signs; on the contrary, its various indicators were not much different from before the experiment.

The only change was that the connection between the little rabbit's body and the Magic Net had undergone an earth-shaking transformation; if the target were a human or an Elf, he might have been able to use some Transmutation spells he had previously acquired to analyze and judge.

But for a rabbit, this was the first time Xia Duo had used one for an experiment, and he had absolutely no experience to draw upon; of course, if he referred to the small-dose Arcane Infusion experiment previously conducted on Mila, this experimental rabbit had likely also acquired elemental Spell Resistance.

"Could this be the manifestation of elemental resistance in rabbits?"

This thought flashed through Xia Duo's mind, but just as he was preparing to use actual elemental spells to verify the Arcane Infusion effect on the experimental rabbit, the experimental rabbit's motionless little eyes began to glow.

It was not a Magic Aura, but a real, visible light!

A deep blue, shimmering with dots of light—it was simply a scene of Arcane Energy naturally dissipating!

"Could it be—"

Xia Duo's mind raced through multiple guesses, but none were as fast as the change in reality—
