Chapter 1912: Backward Relations of Production

Xia Duo entered the Projection Plane and experienced many historical possibilities of the past, but the earliest history he had visited was the early period of the first Crown War, when Maiyelita and Aryvandaar had just begun to have friction.

And the first Crown War ended with the destruction of Maiyelita.

The early Crown War was, in essence, the friction, conflict, and even war between Aryvandaar and its four neighbors after its rise; the result was without a doubt that Aryvandaar was the victor.

The climax of the Crown War was the war between Aryvandaar and Ilythiiri; whoever won would be the boss of the Elf World.

The result was obvious: Aryvandaar won, and the defeated became the Drow, though the Aryvandaar that had become bloated with victory did not meet a good end either.

The final Crown War was the curtain call for Aryvandaar, less than 4,000 years before Evereska Independent.

And counting from the initial rise of Aryvandaar, it was at least nearly ten thousand years until Evereska Independent.

Ten thousand years is an extremely long time for an Elf, but this is not the entire history of the existence of the Elf race!

Tracing further back, it can at least be traced to the era when the Dragon Madness Mythallar was established; at that time, the rulers of the Main Plane were still dragons and giants, the latter of which were legendarily defeated by the Dwarves.

In fact, in Xia Duo's view, compared to the so-called Crown War of later generations, the succession of ruling races in the ancient period could be considered the true Crown War!

As for whether the decline of the Elves began in the ancient period or the Crown period, that is a matter of opinion.

Xia Duo believes that the decline starting from the ancient period was a general trend, while the decline that began during the Crown War period could be called "the revival failed, and the path was cut short midway."

He had witnessed Maiyelita during the Crown War period with his own eyes; although it was only a small border city, its level of prosperity far exceeded that of Evereska on the Main Plane, and its strength was also far superior.

Whether it is the decline of Magic or the loss of control in war, both are the inevitable outcome of the mismatch between relations of production and productive forces in different fields.

It is like giving the ancients a set of modern technology; even if all the technical data were placed before them, and they were taught how to use and research it, there would still, in all likelihood, be various accidents of lost knowledge.

Returning to the topic of bloodlines itself, Xia Duo is now inspired by the Transformation Ritual of the Demon Descendants and has come up with an Arcane Energy conversion plan.

And Arcane Energy is the key to the Netheril Magic System.

Conversely, if his guess is correct, that is, the Elf ancestors were once prosperous and used an unknown technology to allow their race to obtain the innate ability for Spellcasting. (Not all current Elves can cast spells; perhaps the racial talent has degraded.)

Then, is it possible to reverse-engineer the technology used by the Elf ancestors by studying the Elves themselves?

Perhaps it is a brand-new Magic system similar to the Netheril Magic System, and it might be even more excellent than the Magic used by the advanced Elves.

How countless humans adapt to that kind of Magic system can also be studied to pursue the deeper essence of Magic.

Thinking of this, Xia Duo feels it is truly necessary to launch a Bloodline Sequencing Project in the Elf World as well, but this project cannot be conducted on the Main Plane.

Otherwise, not to mention how the Elves would react, even if it succeeded, it would just be making wedding clothes for the Elves.

And the great time flow ratio of the Projection Plane relative to the Main Plane becomes the best research site, though organizing such a huge and complex project is not as easy as imagined.

According to his speculation, the time Node for entering the Projection Plane will most likely be close to the contemporary period of the Main Plane; it is almost impossible to be the future, but it can be the past, and the further back it is, the lower the probability.
