Chapter 2485: The Possibility of a Plane War

Regarding Yinaole's probing, although Xia Duo was already inclined to agree with the Seven Towers' proposal in its general direction, there were still many details that had not been clearly explained, so he prepared to make another trip to Seventon in the next two days.

Besides gathering first-hand information on the consultations, it was also necessary to contact other Great Arcanists to exchange opinions, especially to hold his ground on key issues and not get carried away or agree to everything just because the Seven Towers said so.

……

Over the next two days, Niya indeed completed the Communication Mythallar project as Xia Duo had expected; this should have been a very joyous occasion, but when Xia Duo revealed that he had a more perfect plan, Niya suddenly became depressed.

A mist appeared in her stubborn eyes, visible to the naked eye, and she asked Xia Duo in a soft yet exceptionally firm voice, "Why didn't you tell me sooner?"

"This was indeed an accident. Do you remember that I went to a Projection Plane not long ago? I gained more there than the sum of all my past explorations, but at that time your project was already more than half finished. If I had said it directly, wouldn't that have erased your hard work over the past several years?"

"But, but haven't I still done useless work now?" The mist in Niya's eyes finally turned into teardrops that fell disappointedly.

"Don't say that."

Xia Duo stepped forward and used the pads of his two thumbs to gently wipe away the tears left at the corners of Niya's eyes, "Although the project results are a bit behind, the project experience and the growth in your mindset you've gained during this time haven't fallen behind, have they!"

"After a while, when I organize what I gained from the Projection Plane, you will definitely be able to catch up quickly. By then, the Communication Mythallar will still need you to perform maintenance and subsequent updates!"

The New Mythallar Xia Duo mentioned attracted Niya's attention, and she couldn't help but ask: "Then what is different between the New Mythallar and the one I have completed now?"

"The basic functions are no different; it just perfects the framework and the design regarding security. With your experience from the current Mythallar project, you will get the hang of it very quickly, believe me!"

"Really? I don't believe it!"

"It couldn't be truer!"

Xia Duo saw that Niya's tone had loosened, so he continued to talk about some details of the New Mythallar, completely turning Niya's mood around, and finally took out the Mythallar materials he had prepared long ago and handed them to Niya.

【A novel app that has been running stably for many years, comparable to the old version of the book-chasing artifact, a source-changing app used by all old bookworms,】

"I plan to build this Mythallar after I return from Seventon. The corresponding Communication Magic Tools will also have some changes, but I have already completed the mass production design. Recently, you can arrange for the Magic Technician Department to conduct a trial production."

"Mm, I'll study it first." Niya stared at the Mythallar materials in her hand, saying somewhat absent-mindedly.

But soon, as if thinking of something, she hurriedly said again, "By the way, what is the situation in Seventon? Are there any changes?"

Recently, she had been busy with the finishing touches of the Communication Mythallar project and paid less attention to the outside world. Hearing that Xia Duo meant to go to Seventon again, she couldn't help but feel a little worried.

"There are some changes, but they are developing in a good direction. After some time, you might see a brand-new Netheril."

Xia Duo briefly described his two recent trips to Seventon and the Seven Towers' proposal that Yinaole had informed him about via a call not long ago.

Niya was greatly shocked after hearing this, and she asked subconsciously: "Did the Seven Towers compromise so easily?"

"You think so too?"

"Yes, the Seven Towers have already given up those three Habitable Planes, and they are increasing the seats for Great Arcanists in the Seventon Council. What else do you want them to do?"

"I understand."

Even someone as close as Niya thought the Seven Towers had made huge concessions; Xia Duo could imagine the attitude of other Great Arcanists toward the Seven Towers' proposal.

I am afraid that even Duolaisen Huoke, who is not on good terms with the Seven Towers, would express his glad acceptance!

It is just that they have ignored that the Seven Towers have completed the total integration of the righteous cause and ruling order through the new proposal. The more civilization develops, the greater the interests contained within this.

Even from the immediate perspective, the Seven Towers have also reversed their disadvantage through this proposal and conveniently settled the difficult problem of the return of the Netherese from the Sub-planes.

Of course, there are definitely concessions, but from Xia Duo's perspective, what the Seven Towers gained this time is far more than what they gave up.

……

After pacifying Niya, Xia Duo did not immediately set off for Seventon, but first went to the Tower of Time's warehouse to take three Permanent Teleportation Portals made of Daiwei String materials.

Having returned from his studies at the Red Heart Alliance, Xia Duo had already mastered a more advanced method of making Arcane Strings (the Red Heart's name for Daiwei Strings). The Daiwei String Permanent Teleportation Portals in the warehouse, which originally represented advanced technology, suddenly became outdated products.

Since three Daiwei String Permanent Teleportation Portals connecting to planes like Tianshui appeared in the prophecy vision, Xia Duo naturally didn't mind turning this prophecy into reality; he would just treat it as clearing out inventory.

Of course, outdated products for Xia Duo do not mean they are also outdated for others. From a realistic level, currently, among the teleportation portals, only the Arcane String Portal can bear the teleportation flux at the plane level.

If Xia Duo does not take action, the plane connection might end up only at the surface level, with only a few Spellcasters being able to come out, while the vast majority of the remaining people can only stay in those small planes for their whole lives.

Of course, this is not to say that there is no way to connect between planes other than the two methods of teleportation portals or Teleportation Arrays; there is a more direct approach, which is to build permanent Plane Overlap areas.

If it were the past Seven Towers, they might not be willing to do so, but the Seven Towers that can now propose a new plan for the Seville Covenant might just do it.

However, doing so has two disadvantages. One is that, like teleportation portals and Teleportation Arrays, it requires long-term operation of related spells or arrays; the cost is relatively low but not non-existent, and it is completely incomparable to the Daiwei String plan.

The other is more serious: maintaining a state of Plane Overlap for a long time, especially between two Material Planes, no one can predict what changes will eventually occur.

Xia Duo speculated from his limited research experience in the Plane Domain that it might cause the small-volume planes to shift their positions in the Ether Interlayer, gradually moving them toward the Main Plane.

Once they get close, whether they will collide or merge, there is no precedent for now. Xia Duo dare not assert, but what is certain is that the movement of this process will definitely not be small, and it might be detected by other Other Plane civilizations that have developed Ether Interlayer detection technology.

The Main Plane already has a lot of trouble; if it attracts enemies from Other Planes, it is simply adding frost to snow for the current situation.

Therefore, whether it is to recruit new residents, to support plane connection, or from the perspective of avoiding a Plane War, providing Daiwei String Portals seems to be an unavoidable choice for Xia Duo.
