Chapter 1031: New Uses

Liang Yufeng again clasped his fists in greeting to Ye Liuyun and said calmly, "I lost! I lost and accept it wholeheartedly!"

"I concede!" Ye Liuyun also politely returned the salute.

Then the two of them each walked down from the arena.

As the victor, Ye Liuyun directly advanced a rank, and Liang Yufeng would not be eliminated either.

He still has one final chance to challenge another winner; with his strength, any random challenge would let him continue advancing.

The only opponent left in Ye Liuyun's mind is that revealing‑clothed woman skilled in illusion and with high True Essence Quality, Xing Yao.

Subconsciously, Ye Liuyun looks at her, observes her True Essence, and finds that Xing Yao's realm has already risen to the Zao Hua Third Realm.

Xing Yao also watches him; when she sees his gaze, she immediately feels a sensation of being fully seen.

Yet she does not avoid his eyes; instead she sends a flirtatious glance, causing Ye Liuyun to quickly turn his head, unwilling to look further.

Seeing Ye Liuyun's embarrassed expression, Xing Yao let out a giggle and kept staring at him.

Ye Liuyun watched a few more matches, and after Liang Xue won, he watched two more, found nothing new, and returned to his residence to cultivate.

As soon as Ye Liuyun left, Xia Tianqiong immediately followed.

Some elders of the War Dragon Sect also escorted him, until the elder guarding the outpost took over the duty of guarding Ye Liuyun, after which they withdrew.

On the road, Xia Tianqiong tells Ye Liuyun that their Qian Long Academy also had three disciples eliminated.

However, six people advanced, which is still a decent result, so the leading elders of the Qian Long Academy also wore smiles.

"Tomorrow the number of competitors will be very few; each person may have two matches, so you must be prepared!" Xia Tianqiong reminds Ye Liuyun.

"Don't worry!" Ye Liuyun smiles at Xia Tianqiong and immediately goes back to cultivate.

He wants to immediately practice a method of sensing energy and see if it can be applied in real combat.

Ye Liuyun and his clone together sense energy within the Space World.

This feeling is too novel for Ye Liuyun; everything seems as if composed entirely of energy.

Now this Space World, in their eyes, is a space filled everywhere with energy.

All things are made of energy, but each energy cluster displays a slightly different outline, with varying colors and brightness.

Watching those moving clusters of energy, Ye Liuyun knows they are Demon Beasts running.

The strands of energy flowing through space are spiritual qi drifting in the air.

He and his clone begin absorbing the spiritual qi for cultivation, while feeling the qi swarming into their bodies.

Ye Liuyun tries to sense the presence of energy without using the Primordial Spirit Secret Technique.

But he finds that when the Primordial Spirit Secret Technique stops, what he sees returns to the real world.

Even using the method of Divine Roaming Taixu, he cannot perceive other things turning into energy.

"It seems these two methods are still different. Divine Roaming Taixu uses the Soul to sense objects, while the Primordial Spirit Secret Technique converts objects into energy," the clone summarizes.

"Good. Try the Shadow Concealment Technique."

Ye Liuyun begins to study its application. He needs to observe whether the clone, under the Shadow Concealment Technique, can be detected by the Primordial Spirit Secret Technique.

As a result, the clone, from a normal state to hidden within a Black Shadow, shows absolutely no change under observation by the Primordial Spirit Secret Technique.

What Ye Liuyun continuously sees is a humanoid energy existence.

"Great! Now shadows have nowhere to hide!" the clone is also very satisfied with the experimental result.

"Find a few more Demon Beasts to test attacks." Ye Liuyun tells the clone to capture several lower‑realm Demon Beasts for practice.

"If these Demon Beasts are all just clusters of energy, then in fact the Primordial Spirit Secret Technique should be able to absorb their energy," Ye Liuyun speculates.

Thus, he activates the Primordial Spirit Secret Technique to draw the energy‑shaped Demon Beast before him into himself.

However, that cluster of energy is not so easily broken down.

The connections between the energies are very tight, and Ye Liuyun simply cannot absorb it.

At this moment the clone also strikes; the two of them cooperate to try to split that energy cluster.

"Boom"—the energy cluster explosively bursts under their combined force.

And only after the cluster explodes does the Primordial Spirit Secret Technique go into a frenzy, sucking the energy into both of their bodies.

Ye Liuyun stops the Primordial Spirit Secret Technique and looks at the Demon Beast, which has already been torn apart by the two of them.

"I understand! This is the true offensive of the Primordial Spirit Secret Technique!"

Ye Liuyun shouts in triumph, then uses the Primordial Spirit Secret Technique to view the Demon Beast again, discovering that the original energy, aside from the portion absorbed by him and his clone, has merged back into the Heavenly Earth spiritual qi, reconverting into qi.

"This was only a Heavenly Gang Realm Demon Beast, yet it required both of us to cooperate to absorb. Looks like we still need more practice," the clone reminds Ye Liuyun.

"Good! Let's try the Demon Beast's Core Pill!"

Ye Liuyun extracts the Demon Beast's Core Pill and begins absorbing it.

Previously, when he cultivated using the Primordial Spirit Secret Technique to absorb a Core Pill, half of its energy was wasted; now, with the clone's help, they can absorb seven or eight tenths of its energy.

"First retrieve the Core Pill from the Xuan Kong Shi to practice, break through the realm, then we'll take the Demon Beast to practice!" Ye Liuyun suggests.

So he and the clone bring a large quantity of Demon Beast and Demon Beast Core Pills back into the Xuan Kong Shi to cultivate. While raising their realm, they practice absorbing energy.

With their continual practice, the Primordial Spirit Secret Technique's power to absorb energy grows stronger and faster.

And Ye Liuyun and the clone also continuously compress and refine their True Essence.

Inside the Xuan Kong Shi, Ye Liuyun had previously stored a large amount of True Dragon Core Pill's True Essence, so the energy was already abundant.

Moreover, with Ye Liuyun and the clone absorbing together, their realm quickly reached the breakthrough threshold.

Next, they also had to stop absorbing energy and focus on compressing Mysterious Origin.

While practicing, Ye Liuyun suddenly wonders: if he uses the Primordial Spirit Secret Technique to compress his own Mysterious Origin, would it work?

So he re‑enters the state of deploying the Primordial Spirit Secret Technique, observing his own Mysterious Origin.

His Mysterious Origin, under the Primordial Spirit Secret Technique, appears as a tiny sun‑like energy sphere, exceptionally radiant.

Ye Liuyun begins to attempt to mobilize these energies for compression.

"It works, hurry up and try it!"

Although he was still not proficient, Ye Liuyun tried it and found that the method works.

Thus, his clone also immediately began using this method, starting to compress his own Mysterious Origin.
