Song Yi and Li Mengxi scored 4.5, only half a point above most people, so they were somewhat uneasy.

After speaking, he led them to a massive Stone Hall.

A Steward explained to the disciples, "When your name is called, walk straight into the Grand Hall and keep moving forward. The four small doors beside the Stone Hall are the exits, each corresponding to your score."

"So it's a Formation!" Ye Liuyun's Divine Sense had already perceived the situation inside the Stone Hall. He just didn't understand the Formation well enough to see how it operated.

These prodigious youths entered one, emerged, then entered another.

Most of those who emerged scored half a point or one point, and wore furrowed brows, a face full of anxiety and disappointment.

Ye Liuyun saw Qi Tianyue, who had entered first, emerge with a solemn expression.

"Seems this stage is similar to the second; many can't get full marks," Ye Liuyun thought to himself.

Not long after, it was Ye Liuyun's turn to enter.

Ye Liuyun stepped in and instantly saw the scene shift; he found himself back at the Ye Clan residence in Fengyang City.

Startled, he immediately activated his Illusion Pupil, and the scene instantly reverted.

Ye Liuyun exhaled. So the Formation here is an Illusion Array.

But that was good news for him. With Illusion Pupil against an Illusion Array, his score shouldn't be low.

He immediately continued forward. After a few steps, the scene changed again. Appearing before him was the black-robed man from Wan Zang Ridge, standing within the Formation, threatening him.

The third illusion that appeared showed Ye Liuyun battling disciples of the Blood Demon Sect beneath Tianyun County, with blood rain pouring around.

The first seven illusions were all like that; even his parents, aunt, Liang Xue, and Lei Ming appeared in the visions.

Each stage is a scene with certain characters, and the challenges probe his emotional bottom line.

He took a few more steps forward, expecting the eighth illusion, but Ye Liuyun found that nothing seemed to change.

What he saw with his eyes was himself in the Grand Hall, with a Steward at the hall entrance shouting to him from outside, telling him he had passed and could exit directly.

He was about to leave when his Divine Sense suddenly detected something odd. His Divine Sense hadn't scanned the entire Grand Hall, only the surrounding three zhang.

Yet the scene he saw was the whole Grand Hall.

After a few more steps, when he opened his eyes again, the scene had indeed changed dramatically.

Inside the hall, the scene restored: a white-robed elder, radiant, sat on a cushion at the front, smiling warmly at him.

"I have waited here for years, and finally a person who can reach the end of this Illusion Array! It serves as a lineage for my Illusion Art. As a reward, I have a set of Illusion Art you may take to study," the elder said.

As he spoke, the elder handed him a book titled "Illusion True Manual".

Ye Liuyun hesitated, repeatedly probed with his Divine Sense, but this time, even his Divine Sense found nothing amiss.

Finally, he simply used his Divine Sense to attack the elder, testing his authenticity. Yet his attack was deflected back by the elder.

The elder smiled, "No need to test; this world is true and false, who can tell? Either way, you can at least look at this book; you won't lose anything."

Ye Liuyun thought it over, found some sense in his words, took the book, read it once, pondered for a while, then returned it to the elder.

The elder asked in surprise, "You memorized it already?"

Ye Liuyun laughed, "Illusion Art is Illusion Art; this technique shows a flaw. It's a fake, cannot be cultivated at all."

It turned out that after Ye Liuyun memorized the technique, he used his Soul to extrapolate it, only to find the Soul produced a blank. Thus he confirmed the technique was fake.

He then continued forward; at the back of the hall was a door unlike the others. He pushed it open, stepped out, and then circled around the front of the Stone Hall.

Steward Yue was so startled he rose immediately. He walked over to ask about Ye Liuyun's passage, while the group of youths looked at him with admiration and envy.

Qi Tianyue, Nan Xin'er and other beauties were even more astonished, eyes wide as they stared at the monster.

Ye Liuyun suddenly felt something was off!

He got a perfect score in the second stage, yet it caused no stir! How could this stage provoke such a huge reaction!

He used his Divine Sense to scan everything around, but found no flaw.

Yet as he looked at the congratulations and shock of those before him, he suddenly smiled.

With a boom, the scene around him began to collapse, and the figures vanished one by one.
