Chapter 1148: Threats and Lures

"I estimate this little guy hasn't had roasted meat in a long time! I also don't know what it's been eating here!"

Ye Liuyun thought of this, and after the meat was done roasting, he also gave a portion to the little white fox.

The little white fox first sniffed it, confirmed there was nothing abnormal, then immediately began to gobble it up.

How fragrant it is!

It seems he hasn't had roasted meat in a long time.

The little white fox's portion of roasted meat was swallowed in just a few bites.

Then it looked at Ye Liuyun with longing eyes. Ye Liuyun didn't give it any more, but instead had Huo Wu coax and threaten it, promising to roast meat from twenty fierce beasts for it to store as food.

The little white fox finally agreed. It promised to give Ye Liuyun half of the resources and three thousand metal puppets.

However, it added another condition: it wanted to transform into human form like Huo Wu, becoming a monster beast.

One Monster Transformation Pill is not as valuable as a divine artifact. However, this little white fox cannot obtain such resources in the valley.

"Fine! I agree, I'll give it a Monster Transformation Pill!"

Ye Liuyun immediately agreed.

Thus, after Huo Hu and the little white fox reached an agreement, the little white fox asked Ye Liuyun to give it a storage ring to hold things.

Ye Liuyun also picked a storage ring with especially large space and threw it to the little white fox.

The little white fox grabbed the storage ring in its mouth and ran back.

Ye Liuyun and his clone also began to roast meat for the little white fox bit by bit. The roasted meat was also stored in the storage ring.

Not long after, the little white fox ran back, threw the storage ring to Ye Liuyun, and then stared longingly at the beast meat he was roasting, drool dripping from the corners of its mouth.

Ye Liuyun immediately used his divine sense to scan the storage ring's contents, and even he was startled.

Inside, besides the three thousand metal puppets, there were large amounts of cultivation resources and treasures.

The cultivation resources were various energy spheres, enough for Ye Liuyun to cultivate to the second or third level of Earth Sovereign.

The number of divine-rank treasures was even greater, over a hundred pieces.

Ye Liuyun immediately put away that storage ring, then continued roasting meat for the little white fox.

He also had Huo Wu ask it how to control those metal puppets.

"It's simple, just input divine sense to control them." After Huo Wu asked the little white fox, he told Ye Liuyun.

Ye Liuyun immediately tried it. Sure enough, he could control the metal puppets.

He handed all those metal puppets over to his clone, having the clone input divine sense into each one.

He remembered the Left Minister saying that after finding Stone City, they would need to defend it. These metal puppets could serve as his garrison army, just right for deployment.

Moreover, after Ye Liuyun controlled them with divine sense, having them form battle arrays for attack or defense would be more effective.

Ye Liuyun then also roasted meat while feeding the little white fox.

"Eat at ease, these are on me, not part of the ten fierce beasts I'm sending you!"

Ye Liuyun also worried it might be reluctant to eat.

Upon hearing that, the little white fox also ate happily and eagerly.

Ye Liuyun and his clone were busy for a long time before finishing roasting the ten fierce beasts' meat. He also placed a Monster Transformation Pill in the storage ring, and there were still twenty unroasted fierce beast carcasses.

Last time in the Cheng Clan's Secret Realm, he had hunted too many fierce beasts, so he simply sent some to the little white fox.

After receiving the storage ring, seeing that Ye Liuyun had also given him more fierce beast meat, the little white fox immediately stood up in a human-like manner, clasped its paws toward Ye Liuyun, and expressed gratitude.

Ye Liuyun had Huo Wu ask it whether it knew which direction Stone City lay.

The little white fox immediately extended its paw, pointing in a direction, and then told Huo Wu that a fierce beast of early Earth Sovereign level would probably take seven or eight days to arrive.

Only then did Ye Liuyun bid farewell to the little white fox, recalling all the fierce beasts into the Space World.

After he left, Zhu Youfu also tactfully didn't ask Ye Liuyun what he had obtained.

"Boss, I saw that white fox finally pointing in a direction—was it telling you the location of Stone City?"

He just asked about the direction of Stone City.

"Yeah, that's the direction it pointed. Riding fierce beasts of Earth Sovereign level, it will take us about seven or eight days to get there. Subtracting the ten days needed to garrison the city, we'll have roughly ten days on the road to explore."

After Ye Liuyun explained to Zhu Youfu, he then took out the token, intending to send location information to the Fourth Prince.

"Wow, why do I have so many points?"

When Ye Liuyun killed metal puppets this time, he had already noticed that killing one metal puppet yields one point.

He muttered to himself: "How did I get over three thousand points?"

Suddenly it occurred to him: surely those three thousand metal puppets the little white fox gave him were also counted as points by the token!

Moreover, they were counted at double points.

Zhu Youfu heard Ye Liuyun's exclamation, leaned over to look, and was so shocked he stuck out his tongue.

"Boss, what on earth did you do to rack up so many points?"

Ye Liuyun thought it over, figured he'd eventually have to take out the metal puppets to garrison the city anyway, so he just told him directly.

"I asked that little white fox for three thousand metal puppets; maybe the token recorded them as captured and gave points!"

"What!" Zhu Youfu heard this, his mouth hanging open: "You want three thousand metal puppets?"

"Yeah!" Ye Liuyun confirmed.

"He gave you that storage ring containing three thousand metal puppets?" Zhu Youfu asked again in disbelief.

"Mm!" Ye Liuyun nodded, not telling him the full details.

That storage ring also held many resources and treasures; he couldn't just go showing them off to anyone!

"Good heavens! That could form an army!" Zhu Youfu exclaimed.

"Yeah, I plan to use them to garrison the city!"

Ye Liuyun said while releasing the Azure Wind Wolf. Together with Zhu Youfu, they rushed off in the direction indicated by the little white fox.

He wasn't that surprised by an army of three thousand; he himself indeed had an army of several hundred thousand!

But Zhu Youfu was envious of those Metal Puppets.

"How did you talk to that little white fox so that it gave you so much?" Zhu Youfu asked curiously.

Ye Liuyun smiled, but didn't tell Zhu Youfu everything.

He just half-jokingly told him: "I traded roasted meat for it!"

"What!" Zhu Youfu stopped immediately upon hearing that.

"Boss, don't leave yet; I want to go trade with it too!" Zhu Youfu shouted from behind Ye Liuyun.

"You need to be able to defeat five hundred and twelve Metal Puppets..." Ye Liuyun shouted with a laugh, while the Azure Wind Wolf under his feet kept running non-stop.

"Um... then forget it!" Zhu Youfu muttered, urging his ferocious beast to chase after Ye Liuyun.
