Chapter 1393: Misunderstood

Ye Liuyun avoided every city along the way.

When he reached crowded places, he would also don an invisibility cloak, so he basically never exposed his whereabouts and arrived at Beast Mountain smoothly.

Qiang Wudi has already informed Ye Liuyun of the latest warrant against him.

By now the entire Northern Eagle Empire has already spread the word that Ye Liuyun is a Demon.

Hence he is so cautious.

When he arrived at Beast Mountain, although he had seen this scene before in Xie Tianhong's Sea of Consciousness, he was still rather shocked.

The mountain slopes are extremely steep, each rising ten thousand zhang high.

Even if one tries to pass between the two mountain passes, ordinary people cannot climb up.

At the foot of the mountain, there are many corpses with broken bones, discarded and ignored.

"A Martial Cultivator below the Yuan Dan Realm probably doesn't even need to think about it!"

Ye Liuyun thought that the surrounding peaks were not naturally formed, but were moved here by powerful beings as a barrier.

"Probably the Beast King here moved them as a barrier!"

Thinking of this, his original plan to capture some ferocious beasts on Beast Mountain wavered.

"Let's go in first; at least the place storing Demon Beast Eggs isn't very dangerous!"

Ye Liuyun, thinking that, leapt upward directly.

Such steep peaks are no challenge for a Martial Cultivator of the Earth-Respect Eightfold, only taking a little time.

He did not choose to enter through the passes, because Xie Tianhong's information center explained that ferocious beasts often ambush Martial Cultivators there.

So he preferred to spend a bit more time and go directly over the summit.

The summit was already shrouded in clouds.

Without his Golden Pupil, he couldn't see the situation above clearly.

The entire peak had no trees, bare and all stone.

From time to time, fragments of corpses rolled down.

Just as Ye Liuyun was about to reach the summit, he suddenly noticed someone on the top who looked down at him and then hurled a stone at him.

Although the falling stone was fast, at Ye Liuyun's level he could easily dodge it.

Even if it dragged other rocks to fly down, he could easily brush them aside.

His Golden Pupil scanned and found the person's cultivation was low, just reaching the Zao Hua Realm.

Yet his eyes were filled with hatred.

Ye Liuyun originally intended to attack him directly with his Golden Pupil.

But seeing the fire of anger in his eyes, he felt strange!

"I don't think I've offended him; why does he hate me so much?"

Thinking this, he immediately used his Golden Pupil to cast an illusion, controlling the man.

Then he sprinted to the summit and met that Martial Cultivator.

The man had a full beard, shaggy hair, tattered clothes, looking like a wild man.

If not for the soldier's uniform he wore, Ye Liuyun would have thought he came from some tribe.

Ye Liuyun withdrew the illusion, and the bearded man instantly regained his senses.

Immediately he drew his Waist Knife, ready to fight Ye Liuyun to the death.

Seeing his knife-drawing stance, Ye Liuyun instantly judged him to be a soldier.

He didn't want to waste words with such a brute, and began Soul Search directly.

After a search, he learned that the bearded man had misunderstood him.

They were the guards of Princess Zhen Shan Wang, ambushed halfway and driven here.

He also thought Ye Liuyun had come to hunt them down.

"Fool! I'm not here to kill you!"

Ye Liuyun cursed him, lifted his leg, and left.

Considering the soldier's loyalty to his lord, Ye Liuyun didn't intend to kill him.

But he also didn't want to get entangled in this dispute.

The bearded man let out a cold sweat in fright.

He thought that after being Soul Searched, he would become a fool.

But after pausing and realizing he was fine, he immediately blew a Whistle and then prepared to charge with his knife.

Five or six more soldiers appeared around, surrounding Ye Liuyun.

"Do you all want to die?"

Ye Liuyun asked coldly.

He had long since spotted these ambushing soldiers, even the princess they were protecting.

He just didn't expect that they would dare rush out to surround him.

Although he has a good temper, he doesn't want to waste endless time with these people.

If they persist, he wouldn't mind eliminating them all outright.

"Don't make a move!"

A woman's voice sounded.

Then a woman in military armor, escorted by several soldiers, walked out.

Ye Liuyun had no mind to deal with them, and instead surveyed the surroundings.

This side of the mountain was a world apart from the outside.

The mountain is covered with trees everywhere, as if it were a forest.

On this peak, there are already quite a few ferocious beasts of relatively low realms.

The beast roars coming from afar sound like they belong to a higher realm.

But Ye Liuyun couldn't discern what kind of ferocious beast it was.

Given his experience, he still couldn't tell what beast it was, indicating that the beast must be one he had never seen before.

"This Beast Mountain truly hides dragons and crouching tigers!"

He felt a surge of awe in his heart, becoming even more reverent toward this place.

"Your Highness, he has searched my soul; he may have learned your information!"

The Da Huzi soldier hurriedly said.

"I know! So he wants to kill me, and has already made a move!"

The woman responded on the spot.

"Put away all weapons!"

The woman then ordered those Term (exclude).

Those Term (exclude), seeing that Ye Liuyun truly had no intention of attacking them, obediently sheathed their weapons.

"Young master, we apologize; we misunderstood you, hope you won't mind.

I am Qu Wanying, not sure how to address you?"

The woman spoke without any affectation, showing a lady's spirit that does not yield to beards.

Upon hearing this, Ye Liuyun withdrew his spirit, glanced at Qu Wanying, and said with a wry smile, "I am merely a Wanted Fugitive."

"You'd better not know."

"Lest we meet in battle!"

He was not wrong; he is now a Wanted Fugitive, a bandit, while the other side is the Prince's princess, a soldier, so there truly is no need for acquaintance.

Sure enough, those Term (exclude) frowned upon hearing it.

But Qu Wanying smiled and said generously, "There are many Wanted Fugitives framed by others! I don't think you are a wanton murderer!"

"Is that so?"

Ye Liuyun actually felt that this woman was quite bold in speaking.

"Thanks!"

He said lightly, and stepped away directly!

"Stop! The princess is speaking to you! Even a Wanted Fugitive dares to be so reckless?"

A soldier, seeing that he ignored even the princess, immediately raised his voice in rebuke.

Ye Liuyun merely scanned him with his Golden Pupil, and the soldier instantly raised his hand and slit his own throat with his sword!

Here, only the princess and Da Huzi are of the Zao Hua Realm.

The others are all of the Yin-Yang Realm.

Even if Ye Liuyun's illusion techniques were mediocre, they would still be more than enough to handle them.
