Chapter 1533: Unintentionally Breaking the Formation

Ye Liuyun's this move also counts as using poison to counter poison.

Since the Buddha Light Power is insufficient, we use Yin Soul to counter Yin Soul.

Xiu Luo commanded the Yin Soul army, killing any Yin Soul skeletons on sight while also searching for A Ya's whereabouts.

Ye Liuyun, meanwhile, took the Hundred-Refined Soul Banner and tried to see if he could draw the yin energy here into the banner.

The Yin Souls need yin energy to nourish and cultivate.

If the Hundred-Refined Soul Banner can absorb it, it would not only break this formation but also amount to gathering cultivation resources for the Yin Souls.

Unexpectedly, as he waved the Hundred-Refined Soul Banner, he could not only absorb the yin energy here but also draw the Yin Souls within those skeletons into it.

"Ha ha!"

Ye Liuyun then exerted all his strength to wave the Hundred-Refined Soul Banner, beginning to draw in fiercely.

The Yin Soul skeleton that had seized A Ya and was fleeing suddenly felt a tremendous suction, making it impossible to resist.

Immediately, that tremendous suction pulled it directly away from the skeleton's body.

"Splash—"

Those skeletons also collapsed immediately.

A Ya also finally could exhale.

Just now, that skeleton had gripped her too tightly, and she had been holding her breath.

After she recovered, she immediately began to cast spells again.

Xiu Luo and the Yin Souls immediately discovered A Ya's location.

Amid the yin energy and black fog, their perception was especially keen.

Moreover, sensing A Ya's Buddha Light Power, they dared not rush over, fearing they might be harmed by her, so they could only inform Ye Liuyun.

Ye Liuyun also immediately headed in the direction indicated by Xiu Luo.

Only when he saw A Ya radiating Buddha Light Power did he finally let out a breath.

A Ya saw Ye Liuyun, smiled and nodded, but dared not stop her spellcasting.

Thus Ye Liuyun continued waving the Hundred-Refined Soul Banner, desperately absorbing the yin energy here.

He had not expected that yin energy could also be absorbed by the Hundred-Refined Soul Banner.

The Yin Soul skeletons here kept emitting wails as they were sucked into the Hundred-Refined Soul Banner.

Meng Zhangxing and the others were resisting the skeletons when they suddenly saw them collapse one after another, bones scattering everywhere.

All the black yin energy also converged toward Ye Liuyun's direction.

At this moment Ye Liuyun did not realize that his unintentional action had already shattered a great formation here that gathered yin energy and Yin Souls.

Originally, the position of strongest yin energy within this formation could have swallowed Ye Liuyun and A Ya's Buddha Light Power.

Thus they would have become like those skeletons, Yin Souls wandering within the formation.

Unexpectedly, a single Hundred-Refined Soul Banner from Ye Liuyun was enough to break it.

"Quickly clean up the battlefield."

Guo Da gave a reminder, recalling the ferocious beasts to rest.

Meng Zhangxing then commanded the puppets, collecting the bones of that giant skeleton.

"Alas! I hope A Ya stays safe; otherwise my guilt would be great!"

He muttered to himself, kicking the giant skeleton a few times, but it wouldn't budge.

"It's fine! Ye Liuyun will surely catch up to A Ya!"

Luo Yun comforted him.

Guo Da took out a Transmission Talisman, sensed A Ya and Ye Liuyun's positions, found they were together, felt relieved, and immediately informed Meng Zhangxing and A Ya, letting them both relax.

However, Ye Liuyun and A Ya were busy and had no time to reply to his inquiry.

Guo Da also refrained from sending further messages, so as not to delay Ye Liuyun and A Ya's battle.

They waited a while, seeing the yin energy behind them fade first, revealing the ground's rocks.

"This kid isn't going to suck this place dry, is he?"

Meng Zhangxing speculated.

He knew that after Ye Liuyun and A Ya were together, he also felt relieved and stopped blaming himself so much.

They all felt that the yin energy gathering toward Ye Liuyun was surely his doing.

Guo Da then said: "I hope it's him who did it!"

Afterward, they also looked around in all directions.

"Huh?"

"Formation?"

Guo Da saw that after the yin energy behind them had dissipated, traces of a formation appeared.

"You wait here, I'll go take a look."

"If it's a formation, I'll do my best to break it; perhaps I can help them."

Guo Da told the two.

"Better we go together; going alone would be too dangerous."

"We'll stay by your side; while you break the formation, we can still keep watch."

Luo Yun suggested.

"Yeah! Worst case, you set up a Defense Array Plate over there, and we'll go inside to keep watch for you!"

Meng Zhangxing also advised.

Guo Da looked around, saw there was indeed no danger, and agreed.

Then he collected the formation plate and led the two people toward that section of the formation.

What they didn't expect was that, as soon as they reached the edge of the formation, a black-clothed zombie seized them.

This zombie had a soul, and was not a body possessed by a yin soul.

Moreover, this zombie had flesh and blood.

Although its skin was rotted and its appearance gruesome, it was ultimately not a yin soul or similar thing.

Therefore, it also did not fear Ye Liuyun's Hundred-Refined Soul Banner.

Moreover, this zombie's cultivation was extremely high, at the eighth level of the Tianzun Realm.

As soon as he acted, he first knocked Guo Da unconscious, and simultaneously used his aura to suppress Meng Zhangxing and Luo Yun.

Before they could react, he struck each of them once, knocking them all out.

Afterward, he wrapped the three in true essence and swiftly withdrew, leaving no trace.

Ye Liuyun had no idea, and kept waving the soul banner.

Xiu Luo led his men in a sweep, saw that there were no yin souls left, and returned to the Hundred-Refined Soul Banner.

Originally, resources inside the soul banner were already stretched thin due to the large number of yin souls.

Now the yin qi has become unusually abundant, enough for these yin souls to absorb and cultivate for a long time, and it can also allow the Hundred-Refined Soul Banner to rest and recuperate.

Furthermore, the Hundred-Refined Soul Banner now contained several hundred yin souls of the Tianzun Realm.

Xiu Luo then began reselection again, discarding the weak and keeping the strong, to strengthen the yin soul army.

Ye Liuyun kept absorbing all the yin qi here before putting away the Hundred-Refined Soul Banner.

Ya also stopped her spellcraft and looked around.

Their location was a flat open space, yet Guo Da and the others were nowhere to be seen.

"What's going on?"

Ye Liuyun immediately took Ya and rushed back.

He saw that the giant skeleton was gone, and knew Meng Zhangxing must have come out to take it.

"Could it be that they were seized by yin soul skeletons when they came out?"

Ye Liuyun speculated in his mind.

"But even if they needed to leave the formation, they wouldn't all come out, would they?"

He used his golden pupil to search around, but found no clues of several people leaving.

At that moment, Ya took out the transmission talisman and discovered the information Guo Da had previously inquired about.

But when she used the transmission talisman to contact Guo Da and the others, there was no response.
