Chapter 1922: Finding the Witch

Everyone inside the Side Courtyard was cultivating normally, even the Demon Race woman showed no sign of trying to flee or resist.

But Ye Liuyun, through careful observation, still noticed something odd.

There was a small worm in the heart of a Martial Cultivator and also one in the heart of that Demon Race woman.

The worm in the Martial Cultivator's heart was larger.

Moreover, a small box in the Martial Cultivator's storage space contained many of these little worms.

"Gu worm?"

Ye Liuyun suspected it was a kind of gu art, guessing that these people used gu worms to control the witch.

So he dared not release the Magic Vine or the Sealing Demon Tablet for a direct attack, fearing harm to the witch.

"We need to find a chance to approach the witch, knock her out, then eliminate the gu worms first."

As Ye Liuyun was thinking, he suddenly noticed several Martial Cultivators coming to scheme against him.

He curled his lip, eliminated the lower‑ranked Martial Cultivators, and placed Slave Seals on the higher‑ranked ones.

Next, Ye Liuyun recruited everywhere, controlling more than twenty Martial Cultivators of the Fourth Realm.

When night fell and it was quiet, he first released the Magic Vine, let the Sealing Demon Tablet prepare, to suppress that Foreign Tribe, but not kill.

Then, he sent those Martial Cultivators outside the Side Courtyard to pretend to fight, hoping to blast the courtyard wall down and lure the interior Martial Cultivators out to investigate.

The Martial Cultivators performed convincingly, first a chance encounter between two groups, a quarrel, then they started fighting.

With a "Boom", a Martial Cultivator was blasted straight into the courtyard wall, causing the wall itself to collapse.

"What the—!"

Two strong Martial Cultivators immediately emerged from the Side Courtyard, scolding the battling cultivators.

The numerous Martial Cultivators halted at once, intimidated by the aura of the two strong ones, daring not to continue.

"Take action!"

Ye Liuyun instantly sent a Transmission Voice to those Martial Cultivators.

Immediately all Martial Cultivators released their Souls, assaulting a strong one's Sea of Consciousness.

Ye Liuyun flashed his Golden Pupil, his Divine Soul Power surged into another strong one's Sea of Consciousness, and began a Soul Search at once.

"So it's the witch! She was gu'd by someone!"

Ye Liuyun simultaneously devoured that strong one's Soul and deployed the Sealing Demon Tablet to suppress that Foreign Tribe, while also activating the Magic Vine to attack.

The other Martial Cultivators jointly eradicated a strong one's Soul and rushed into the courtyard to kill.

The strong ones inside the courtyard also immediately burst out to kill.

However, the Early Fifth Layer Martial Cultivators were all devoured by the Magic Vine that suddenly sprang up from underground.

Then, the Magic Vine cooperated with other Martial Cultivators, beginning to slay those mid Fifth Layer strong ones.

The Sealing Demon Tablet locked onto that Foreign Tribe, suppressed it, and then began absorbing its power.

Ye Liuyun also mingled among the Martial Cultivators, cloaked in an Invisibility Cloak, to approach the witch.

The witch, controlled by gu worms, was forced to join the fight and kill those Martial Cultivators.

After Ye Liuyun got close to her, he suddenly ambushed, slamming the witch so hard she spat blood and fell unconscious.

Immediately he used Spatial Power to command the Nether Ghost Fire, instantly eradicating the gu worm in the witch's heart.

"Poof!"

The Martial Cultivator who had planted the gu worms in the witch, while battling the Magic Vine, suddenly flickered and spewed a mouthful of blood.

The Magic Vine seized the chance, snapping off his upper body in one bite.

Ye Liuyun, to prevent the gu worms from harming the Magic Vine,

also deliberately used Spatial Power to burn the mother worm inside that Martial Cultivator.

Then, he immediately pulled the witch into the Space World and went to help the Magic Vine eliminate the other mid Fifth Layer Martial Cultivators.

The Fourth Realm Martial Cultivators he had subjugated were all killed without a trace, eventually all being devoured by the Magic Vine.

After securing the Magic Vine, Ye Liuyun went to deal with the Foreign Tribe that the Sealing Demon Tablet had suppressed.

At this moment, that Foreign Tribe's Divine Soul Power had been largely absorbed by the Sealing Demon Tablet, and its other powers were completely drained.

Ye Liuyun directly launched a Soul Search on it.

The information obtained from the Soul Search shocked Ye Liuyun even more.

The Demon Race has a great secret.

Namely, there is a Void Passage opened by the Foreign Tribe here; the Foreign Tribe can use it to march directly into this world.

However, that passage has been sealed by a Formation set by the Demon Race.

They cannot open it for now.

Thus, these Foreign Tribe members, at the primary Alien Battlefield, captured a Human Martial Cultivator who possessed a Space World, subjugated him, and then had him bring sixteen Foreign Tribe members of varying Fourth to Sixth Realm here to covertly expand their influence, look for a chance to undermine the Demon Race's power, and then break the formation sealing the passage.

Therefore, the Foreign Tribe hidden within the Demon Race's realms is not just this one, but fifteen others as well.

After his avatar obtained this information, Ye Liuyun's main body immediately rushed back to Base Seven and reported the situation to Wu Yongguang.

However, Wu Yongguang was not surprised by the passage within the Demon Race.

He told Ye Liuyun that the passage was discovered and sealed by a strong member of the Divine Warrior Alliance using a Formation.

It is precisely because the Demon Race promised to guard that passage continuously that they have been able to survive; otherwise they would have been wiped out by the Human Race long ago.

Nevertheless, Ye Liuyun rescued the witch, dismantled the Foreign Tribe's plot, prevented a war between the Demon Race and the Southern Region, thereby saving the Demon Race a great amount of strength.

As for this, Wu Yongyuan promptly reported Ye Liuyun's achievements to the Divine Warrior Alliance.

The Divine Warrior Alliance gave Wu Yongyuan the authority to grant Ye Liuyun many rewards, allowing Ye Liuyun simply to send the witch back to the Demon Race.

As for the Foreign Tribe hidden within the Demon Race, they can be dealt with by themselves.

Ye Liuyun hadn't expected that such a monumental revelation to him would be handled so easily by the Divine Warrior Alliance.

Wu Yongyuan also saw his doubt, smiling as he explained: "Actually, the Foreign Tribe has opened more than just that one passage."

Moreover, they can open new passages at any time.

The reason they haven't acted yet is simply that they lack the strength to do so.

Ye Liuyun then suddenly realized: "When they really come to attack, these passages won't actually be able to stop them!"

Wu Yongyuan nodded worriedly: "All we can hope is that this never happens!"

The avatar also woke the witch.

"I've removed the gu worms inside you! Those who kidnapped you have also been killed by me."

Afterward, he burned the Foreign Tribe's corpse to ashes in front of the witch.

The witch repeatedly thanked Ye Liuyun, but she was still curious about his motive.

"Why did you save me?"

Ye Liuyun countered her: "The Demon Race guarding the Foreign Tribe's passages for this world is also a great merit—shouldn't I save you?"

"You're the first person I've seen who knows about the Foreign Tribe's passages, and also the first to say the Demon Race has done good!"

The witch said seriously.

Actually, many people, especially the strong ones, also know what the Demon Race has contributed to this world.

But there are some things they can't say, and they're too busy to deal with you right now!

Ye Liuyun explained to her.

The witch also felt somewhat moved by what he said.

Don't be polite, I'll send you back.

There are still many Foreign Tribes within the Demon Race; I need to go clear them out.

When you go back, also get the Demon Race to agree to a ceasefire!

Ye Liuyun said to her.

However, the witch shook her head: "The possibility of a ceasefire is not high."
