Chapter 2766: Stacked Like a Mountain

Ye Liuyun arrived on a Xingqiu on the Empire's periphery and discovered that over a thousand Martial Cultivators of the Zhuanzai Sixth and Seventh Layers were gathered there.

If a dozen or more Xingqiu were like this, that would amount to tens of thousands of people.

Such a huge number of strong Martial Cultivators surprised Ye Liuyun greatly.

"Around the imperial capital, the masters are still more numerous than elsewhere!"

Ye Liuyun sighed, having Zhuque take human form and release him: "I'm counting on your help!"

When Zhuque emerged, his powerful Divine Sense was noticed by those strong Martial Cultivators.

Although they don't need Martial Cultivators of the Zhuanzai Wuchong, they don't mind snatching an extra one with special abilities.

So a few strong ones immediately rushed over to capture Zhuque.

However, those who came were instantly controlled by Ye Liuyun, his duplicate, and Zhuque; their contracts in the Sea of Consciousness were erased, and new Slave Seals were implanted.

Then Ye Liuyun used the captured prisoners to attract those Martial Cultivator strongmen in batches.

Until, after a few days, he had implanted Slave Seals on all those Martial Cultivators.

Ye Liuyun and Zhuque were both exhausted; these days of constantly using Divine Soul Power had actually refined a lot of their own Divine Soul.

Ye Liuyun also, through Soul Search, learned a lot of information.

These Martial Cultivators, after being captured, were controlled by the Empire to cooperate in capturing more strong Martial Cultivators.

Teams like theirs indeed exist on every Xingqiu surrounding the Imperial Capital.

Thus Ye Liuyun and Zhuque returned to the duplicate's Space World to cultivate, while the duplicate rushed to other Xingqiu.

Then they continuously released bait to capture those strong Martial Cultivators.

Before long, Ye Liuyun managed to assemble a spearhead unit of ten thousand people.

Ye Liuyun had these people sign a collective contract, erased their Slave Seals, and handed them over to Ye Tiandao.

These Martial Cultivator strongmen captured by the Foreign Tribe were quite willing to serve Ye Liuyun's Wolf Hunt Mercenary Corps.

They had previously been controlled by the Empire and were very displeased with the Empire's sudden raid on them.

Originally these people were already dissatisfied with the Empire; now they actively cooperate with Ye Liuyun's spearhead unit's training, preparing to retaliate against the Empire.

Moreover, the resources in the hands of these strongmen were confiscated by Ye Tiandao.

It is estimated enough to supply all spearhead soldiers for several years of cultivation.

Ye Liuyun then entered the Imperial Capital, hoping to see if there was a chance to let the thief cat go to the Royal Palace Treasure Vault to steal some good items.

It was his first time in the Imperial Capital, and he found that the Martial Cultivators here indeed had high realms, and the city was filled with families of major powers; some families' buildings were constructed like Royal Palaces.

Ye Liuyun altered his appearance, carried the demon cat into a restaurant, booked a private room, and then quietly released it.

Ye Liuyun gave it no instructions on how to steal.

It has already stolen experience and won't easily raise others' suspicion.

But unexpectedly, in less than two hours, the thief cat returned.

"Why are you back?"

Ye Liuyun was also astonished, thinking the thief cat had suddenly changed its nature and become ungreedy.

"The loot is too much; the Storage Rings are all full! I only stole from three places, including the Royal Palace Treasure Vault…" the thief cat explained helplessly.

Ye Liuyun hadn't expected the Royal Palaces and major powers here to be so wealthy.

"…There are over ten thousand large‑space Storage Rings here, you can go again!"

Ye Liuyun naturally didn't want to miss this opportunity.

The thief cat immediately gathered those Storage Rings and vanished again!

Ye Liuyun then immediately surveyed the thousand Storage Rings.

"Got rich! Got rich! Feels like I'll never have to raid again!"

Inside the Storage Rings, the Primordial Power numbers in the tens of thousands, and pills, treasures, etc., are piled like mountains.

These resources exceed all the resources Ye Liuyun had before!

"If I'd known there were so many resources here, why did I bother conquering planets to collect? I could have just stolen here!"

Ye Liuyun lamented that he discovered this too late.

One must know these resources were accumulated over many generations of Martial Cultivators of the Star Disk Empire.

Their ancestors once led the local Martial Cultivators on campaigns north and south, amassing these resources, giving the Star Disk Empire its present glory.

Unfortunately, the later generations were ungrateful, being too harsh on the common folk and ordinary Martial Cultivators, losing popular support, leading to today's outcome.

Two more hours later, the entire Imperial Capital suddenly generated a strong anti‑space force.

"Someone discovered the resources were stolen, and the city is being sealed!"

Ye Liuyun immediately foresaw that martial law would be imposed here.

The thief cat instantly sensed the change in Spatial Power and returned early to Ye Liuyun's side.

"Huh?

Does this Spatial Power not affect you?"

Ye Liuyun asked the thief cat curiously.

"No effect.

I was just afraid you'd worry, so I came back early to bring the resources I obtained back!"

The thief cat said, dumping out a pile of Storage Rings.

Within the Space World, Lan Xin and the other women had been shocked for a long time; now seeing thousands of Storage Rings, they laughed with mouths wide open.

They hurriedly gave the thief cat another huge batch of Storage Rings, letting it continue stealing.

"Still going?"

The thief cat asked Ye Liuyun as well.

At that moment, the entire city was already echoing the shouts ordering a lockdown.

It was probably a command from the Empire.

"Go then, as long as you can guarantee safety.

At this point, don't force yourself!"

Ye Liuyun didn't miss the chance either, just telling the thief cat to be a bit more careful.

"Alright!"

The thief cat answered, then vanished again.

The anti‑void force here seems to impose no restriction on it.

Ye Liuyun also prepared to teleport the Black Tower.

Although this place is anti‑void, it cannot block the teleportation of the Black Tower.

But he was only making pre‑arrangements; he hasn't yet planned to leave immediately.

He had Ye Tiandao ready two thousand expendable Sharp Blade Corps soldiers, letting them use the chance to strike the Imperial Palace.

He wanted to seize the opportunity to see just how strong the Empire's power truly is.

Ye Tiandao immediately gathered the two thousand, had them swap equipment, hand over their Storage Rings, and then set them to prepare for battle.

The Sharp Blade Corps' elimination criteria aren't based solely on realm; they also consider a Martial Cultivator's development potential and obedience, among other factors. Thus these two thousand span realms from Sevenfold Sovereign to Zhuanzai Sanchong, mostly former captives who are Martial Cultivators or soldiers of low realms and slow advancement.

This time is only a probe; many of them may die in battle, so they aren't allowed to carry their gear lest the Empire seize it.

Meanwhile, Ye Liuyun remained still, leisurely eating and drinking, waiting for the inspecting soldiers to come to him.

Soon, more and more places outside began to sound the alarm bells.

Ye Liuyun guessed that the thief cat had started pilfering the resources inside people's Storage Rings.

Since the lockdown hunt had already been triggered, after it had raided the Treasure Vaults of several major forces, it simply let loose, targeting specifically the Storage Rings of some great‑family Clan Chiefs.
