Chapter 3072: Subduing the Yin Souls

Ye Liuyun and his party entered the Cave and immediately heard the howls and roars of the Yin Souls.

He could tell that the Yin Souls were warning them not to get close.

But as Ye Liuyun went deeper, the Yin Souls inside the Cave had already sensed the aura of the Underworld God on Ye Liuyun.

The Underworld God aura on Ye Liuyun is now even more evident. This is related to the expansion of his Underworld domain, with the number and strength of its denizens greatly increasing. As the Underworld God, the stronger the Underworld, the more pronounced his aura.

Some Yin Souls, still puzzled, ran to a distance to investigate, then fled deeper into the Cave.

The He family disciple and the guards, seeing the silhouettes of the Yin Souls from afar, felt their calves tremble. On the path deeper into the Cave, they occasionally saw a few desiccated corpses, which made their hearts race with fear.

But Ye Liuyun strode forward without any hesitation. He had already sensed that the Yin Souls present dared not attack him. So he wanted to reach the bottom of the Cave quickly to see what treasures lay inside.

The Yin Souls in the Cave kept retreating, and eventually were driven by Ye Liuyun to the bottom of the Cave.

At the bottom of the Cave, the strongest Yin Soul also gazed at Ye Liuyun.

"Guiyi Eighth Layer realm? You are not my opponent. Submit to me, and I will bring you back to the Underworld. Otherwise, you will all be scattered here!" Ye Liuyun glanced at him and spoke directly.

The He family disciple and the guard were so intimidated by the Yin Soul that they could not lift their legs. His clones did not attend to them, simply passed by them and moved ahead.

Behind that Yin Soul, hundreds of Yin Souls of varying strength waited silently, evidently awaiting the decision of the strongest Yin Soul.

At the deepest part of the Cave lay a pool of black water, exuding dense Yin Qi, within which grew a black lotus. Inside the lotus were two lotus seeds, emitting Black Light.

These Yin Souls evidently rely on the lotus and the pool to keep their Yin Souls from dispersing. They are probably some Soul cultivation treasures.

The strongest Yin Soul also hesitated a bit. The aura on Ye Liuyun indeed frightened him, but his realm was only Guiyi Fourth Layer, which was far too low. Moreover, Ye Liuyun bore no Yin Qi at all.

Thus he was uncertain whether Ye Liuyun could defeat him and had not decided whether to act.

Ye Liuyun, seeing his hesitation, instantly covered his body with Nether Ghost Fire, flashing with thunderous lightning power, and simultaneously cast a spell; Buddha Light Power instantly erupted from that Yin Soul's body, swiftly consuming its Yin Soul.

"Aoo!"

The Yin Soul let out a wail and immediately realized it was no match for Ye Liuyun.

It immediately knelt and begged Ye Liuyun for mercy.

"Underworld God, spare us. We were ordered by the Primordial Spirit Demon of this Secret Realm to intercept you. We did not know your identity before."

"Oh?" Ye Liuyun hadn't intended to kill him, so he halted and asked: "Do you know the Primordial Spirit Demon here? Why is it targeting me? What is its strength?"

The Buddha Light Power on the Yin Soul vanished instantly, and it hurriedly thanked Ye Liuyun. Then it began to explain: "The spirit demon was trapped by the original owner of this Secret Realm in a Grand Hall, originally to protect it from being stolen. But after it transformed into a demon, it cannot get out."

It is currently using foreign living humans' bloodline power to forge a physical body; only the He family disciple is released occasionally, with the purpose that the He family will send more people later. It likely wants to kill you to obtain your bloodline power.

At present its strength cannot exit the Grand Hall, but it can control everything within this Secret Realm and can mobilize the Primordial Power here.

Ye Liuyun, hearing this, understood the spirit demon's scheme, but still asked: "Then why doesn't it directly use Primordial Power to control or kill me?"

The Yin Soul replied: "The spirit demon is a manifestation of Primordial Power; if it uses Primordial Power to attack a person, it will deplete its own strength. The more it consumes, the harder it becomes to leave the Grand Hall."

Therefore, when ordinary people enter, it borrows the suppressing power within this Secret Realm to let various strong beings carry out exterminations, without greatly draining its own power.

"So that means it still might use Primordial Power?" Ye Liuyun pressed.

The Yin Soul confirmed: "Yes! It is the Primordial source of this Secret Realm and certainly can summon all Primordial Power at any time."

Ye Liuyun nodded, then inquired about the strength of the strong beings in this Secret Realm. The Yin Soul spoke without reservation, telling him that the Secret Realm contains over ten Guiyi Ninth Layer ferocious beasts, several hazardous locations, and even detailed the exact positions and the dangers therein.

Ye Liuyun was quite satisfied with this information.

Within his Space World, an Underworld gate slowly opened, and Zhuge Feiyu, holding a Soul Banner, walked out, released by Ye Liuyun.

"Enter the Soul Banner, and let it take you back to the Underworld."

Ye Liuyun called all the Yin Souls to enter the Soul Banner, letting Zhuge Feiyu wave the Soul Banner to first gather them inside, then bring them back to the Underworld.

The Yin Souls all bowed to Ye Liuyun in thanks, then rushed into the Soul Banner. They had stayed here long enough but could not leave; if they kept draining, once the lotus and black water were exhausted, they would completely dissipate. Hence they greatly yearned to return to the Underworld.

After Zhuge Feiyu gathered these Yin Souls into the Soul Banner, he gave Ye Liuyun a general briefing on the current state of the Underworld.

"More and more gates to the Underworld are being opened, and overall strength is increasing. Especially after your battle in the Desolate Sea, there are many Guiyi Ninth Layer Yin Souls, and the varieties of Yin Souls have also become richer."

"Your Purple Qilin has indeed helped us a lot. The Asura has also boosted the strength of the Yin Soul army. Rest assured, the Underworld is currently very stable."

"That's good! Thanks to you, otherwise I would truly be overwhelmed! Call me anytime if you need anything!"

Ye Liuyun felt deep gratitude for Zhuge Feiyu's efforts.

"Do you need me to send some Yin Soul army to help you deal with the spirit demon here?" After Zhuge Feiyu gathered those Yin Souls into the Soul Banner, he also learned about the Primordial Spirit Demon here.

Ye Liuyun thought it over and felt that the Primordial Power in his Space World was not weak, and he also possessed Time Power, so he was not worried about that Primordial Spirit Demon and did not ask Zhuge Feiyu for help.

"No need, you focus on your tasks; I have a way to deal with that spirit demon!"

He also asked Zhuge Feiyu to take away that pool of black water and the black lotus, to use them for strengthening. The black water in the pool can be used by Zhuge Feiyu to condense Yin Souls and boost his power. The black lotus can devour Yin Souls, making it a perfect treasure for Zhuge Feiyu to combat Yin Souls.
