Chapter 310: Passive Challenge

"May I ask, does anyone know where those who have been discarded are sent?"

Ye Liuyun suddenly opened the door, startling everyone. They thought Ye Liuyun was coming to snatch their belongings.

In the eyes of all Martial Cultivators, Soul Cultivators are the hardest type of Martial Cultivator to deal with. Although their Physical Body is weak, their attack methods are extremely bizarre and hard to defend against. Ordinary people would rather offend a Martial Cultivator of a higher realm than a Soul Cultivator of the same tier.

The way Ye Liuyun attacked those people just now clearly showed he is a Soul Cultivator. So the members were somewhat afraid of him.

After the tension eased, seeing that he had no intention of robbing them, they relaxed.

A disciple who had stayed here a bit longer said, "I asked the Kuailei; if a discarded disciple is not taken by anyone, the Kuailei will kill them outright."

Ye Liuyun was not satisfied with this vague answer. He then left his Cultivation Room and went to the Grand Hall to ask the Metal Puppet for details.

The Kuailei's explanation was the same as the disciple's. The Kuailei also did not tell him any more information.

So Ye Liuyun proposed an exchange of items, asking the Metal Puppet what could be traded to boost his Bloodline Power and Physical Body strength.

"In terms of Bloodline, we offer Spirit‑grade, Venerable‑grade, and Divine‑grade refined blood. For the Physical Body, we also provide Five Elements Qi of various grades for body refining," the Metal Puppet explained. "One drop of Spirit‑grade refined blood or Five Elements Qi requires ten Crystal Cores from the Sea Transformation realm; Venerable‑grade needs one hundred, Divine‑grade needs one thousand. Each Crystal Core from a Great Realm exchanges at a ratio of one to one hundred."

"So profitable?" Ye Liuyun couldn't help but be secretly amazed at the exchange rate.

Ye Liuyun took out the Storage Rings he had just seized from those people and retrieved the Crystal Cores inside. He then added some Sea Transformation realm Crystal Cores of his own and exchanged them for one drop of Divine‑grade refined blood and a portion of Five Elements Qi.

He didn't exchange more because the Alliance's exchange cost was too low; he feared the items would shrink.

Immediately, he returned to his Cultivation Room and entered the Xuan Kong Shi to cultivate.

When he absorbed and refined the exchanged items, he couldn't help but feel ecstatic!

"It's real! All these exchanged items are genuine!"

He had previously absorbed Divine‑grade refined blood, and had also absorbed Five Elements Qi in the Heavenly Dragon Secret Realm. So he concluded that both items were genuine. Moreover, throughout the entire absorption and refining process, the Ten Thousand Gods Command showed no abnormality, indicating the items have no side effects.

Just as he cheerfully left the Cultivation Room, ready to exchange more items, the Metal Puppet came forward carrying two newcomers.

"Huh? Mo Ya, Lin Feier?" Ye Liuyun exclaimed in surprise.

The two also saw Ye Liuyun and hurried over to greet him.

"No wonder you two also went to hunt Corpse Demons; so you already knew you were supposed to come here?" Ye Liuyun asked.

"Yes! Unexpectedly, our goals are the same," Mo Ya laughed.

While they were chatting, a pressure from the Seventh Realm of Primordial Pill directly enveloped the three of them.

"On my peak, I still lack a maid! Come with me!" the man said outright.

A group of nearby youths also came out to watch the spectacle.

"Another one coming to snatch women!"

"Whenever a woman appears, these experts take her away as a maid! When will it be our turn?"

The murmuring voices of those people were heard by Ye Liuyun and his companions. Lin Feier's complexion turned unpleasant.

She had no Sect protection here, and having to face so many high‑realm strongmen, preserving her chastity seemed harder than ascending to heaven. At that moment, she couldn't help but regret.

"It seems this place truly pits raw strength against each other!" Ye Liuyun thought to himself.

Facing the pressure of the Seventh Realm of Primordial Pill, Mo Ya and Lin Feier, both at the First Realm of Primordial Pill, struggled heavily to resist.

Ye Liuyun, indifferent, gave him a once‑over. Though under thirty, at the peak of the Seventh Realm of Primordial Pill, his Soul was not very powerful.

He asked the Metal Puppet, "Is he the master of the peak? Does he have a ranking on the Holy List? May I challenge him?"

The Metal Puppet replied immediately, "Yes, he is the master of the peak, ranked 576th on the Holy List; you may challenge him at any time."

"What? You, a First Realm newcomer, want to challenge me? If you don't want to be discarded, get far away; I'm too lazy to fight you." The man sneered at Ye Liuyun, then turned his gaze to Lin Feier without any concealment.

"I challenge you!" Ye Liuyun stepped in front of Lin Feier, blocking his view.

"Hmph! You don't know life or death; since you want to die, I'll grant it!" The man, paying no heed to Ye Liuyun, slapped a palm at him.

"Tsk tsk! This newcomer looks rather decent, what a pity!"

"Indeed! It's hard to get a decent newcomer, only to have them discarded like this!"

The onlookers around assumed Ye Liuyun was doomed. After all, the strongest here can fight across realms, but it's impossible to jump from the First Realm to the Seventh Realm of Primordial Pill.

Ye Liuyun, however, immediately unleashed a Thunder Fire Domain and launched a Spiritual Soul Attack.

He hadn't expected the opponent to strike first; his reaction was half a beat slow, and now he could only rely on his Physical Body to endure. Had he known he could challenge him, he would have initiated the Spiritual Soul Attack earlier.

With a "Boom", the man's palm struck Ye Liuyun, stirring up a True Essence storm.

At the same time, within Ye Liuyun's Thunder Fire Domain, the Hell Mingshe immediately seized the man's Soul.

Then the man let out a wail and fell straight from the sky, landing with a "Bang" on the ground.

Ye Liuyun first removed his Storage Ring, then lifted a foot and kicked the corpse away.

Then he turned and asked the Metal Puppet, "Now I am the master of his peak, right?"

"Yes! Moreover, on the Holy List, your name will replace his rank. Your current ranking is 576th."

"Hehe, you forced me into this, not that I wanted to challenge you!"

Ye Liuyun chuckled at the corpse, then said to the Metal Puppet, "Let's go, take me to that peak first."

He then told Lin Feier and Mo Ya, "You both come along; the conditions there should be better than here. We'll have each other's support. Staying here alone is too dangerous."

Lin Feier immediately agreed. Mo Ya hesitated briefly, then followed.

The Metal Puppet ignored the dead disciple and directly led Ye Liuyun and his party toward his peak.

After arriving, the Metal Puppet immediately expelled everyone inside.

Ye Liuyun saw four or five disheveled women inside, their expressions extremely despondent, evidently already the playthings of that disciple.

"What will you do with these people?" Ye Liuyun asked the Metal Puppet.

"The same as their master!" the Metal Puppet said without further comment, and led Ye Liuyun and his group up the peak.

"The peak has a Defense Array; outsiders cannot break in. You may bring others up, and you may keep maids or ferocious beasts. But if you are defeated, those who ascended will suffer the same fate. Moreover, if challengers appear, you must accept the fight; otherwise it counts as surrender and you will be expelled from the peak," the Metal Puppet explained.
