Chapter 3131: Encountering an Ambush

The planets of the Huo Yin Star System have no teleportation arrays, so even though the dynasty's warships are fast, by the time they arrive Ye Liuyun has already returned to the Crossing Bridge Star System, hidden within the Demon Race army to cultivate and recover.

After the Imperial Guard arrived, they sealed off the Xingkong, searched everywhere, and ultimately did not find any trace of Ye Liuyun.

Ye Liuyun, this time back in the Demon Race army, was also shocked by the rise in their cultivation realms.

Heiyan and Shaying's realms both rose to Guiyi Sixth Layer, and the entire ancient Demon army's realms each rose one layer, basically all reaching Guiyi Fourth Layer.

The Demon Race army was even more exaggerated: Heishan and the Tiger-Head Beast King's realms both rose to Guiyi Fourth Layer, and all Demon Race soldiers also rose two layers.

These Demon Race devoured huge numbers of corpses; after obtaining enough cultivation resources, their realms rose rapidly, and it did not cause any instability.

They have already captured six Xingqiu, and now with their strength, even if Martial Cultivators besiege them, they cannot be trapped. Resources have also accumulated abundantly; even if they stop now, it is enough for them to raise their realm by one layer.

Recently, only Ye Tiandao among the women has broken through to Guiyi Fifth Layer; the others have just broken through and have only refined True Essence, with no further breakthroughs yet.

Ye Liuyun cultivated for a while within the Demon Race army, and after everyone's True Essence recovered, he rushed to the planet where the women are, hoping to bring them into his clone's Space World for a major rest, raise their realm by one layer, and then emerge.

But before he could reach the planet where Ye Tiandao's group is, he discovered that the planet's outskirts had several Flying Boats patrolling, evidently sealing off the Xingkong here.

He scanned with his Golden Pupil and found the Flying Boats hovering directly above Ye Tiandao's group, clearly to ambush them.

Ye Tiandao's group was also trapped inside a city, surrounded by thousands of bandits. Moreover, outside there were several larger bandit gangs, with some Sixth and Seventh Layer strong ones preparing to strike.

However, those bandits were relatively far away, and Ye Tiandao and his companions had not yet sensed the danger; with the Demon Lion and Magic Vine present, they were solely focused on clearing the city's bandits.

Seeing so many strong ones, Ye Liuyun guessed that the Crossing Bridge Star System might have a new bandit leader, and began organizing bandits to encircle Ye Tiandao's group.

An ambush of this scale, even with the Demon Lion and Magic Vine, might not fully protect the women.

So Ye Liuyun immediately recalled the Flying Boats, slipped through the void, and appeared outside the city. He feared he was too far away for timely rescue.

At that moment the bandits also acted. All the bandits rushed forward together, surrounding the city. Among them, Sixth and Seventh Layer strong ones simultaneously rose into the air and bombarded the city interior with full force.

"Release the strong ones!"

Ye Tiandao reacted quickly and immediately released the Ninthfold Strong from the Space World. The other women also immediately released the other two Ninthfold Strong.

Each of the three Ninthfold Strong blocked one direction of attack; the Magic Vine and Demon Lion together blocked another direction, barely deflecting the first wave of attacks.

Occasionally some attacks slipped through, but they were greatly weakened and were intercepted by Tang Xinyao's trio working together.

"We've been ambushed!"

Ye Tiandao, Xiao Yunfang, and Meng Qingyin, all experienced commanders, instantly realized they were ambushed and immediately ordered their troops to charge in one direction.

But at that moment the outside bandits also arrived, encircling them tightly on all sides.

The Flying Boats responsible for interception in the Xingkong all surged into that Xingqiu, densely covering the area above the city to prevent escape.

Ye Liuyun, seeing that they could still hold on, did not rush to help but let them try to sustain themselves and see how they would cope.

The three Ninthfold Strong also immediately charged in one direction; the Demon Lion slipped into the void, slaying the charging Martial Cultivators to cover the women's retreat, while the Magic Vine waved its vines to block attacks from the other three directions, covering them.

Retreat.

"Kill!"

Ye Tiandao led, the Song Girl and Xiao Lan'er coordinated with her, Xiao Yunfang and Meng Qingyin guarded the sides of the formation, following the three strong ones outward; Tang Xinyao led the rear, simultaneously launching a combined attack to intercept the stray bombardments.

But the bandits on all four sides were too many and all struck simultaneously, making defense very hard. Just as they broke out of the city, over two hundred bandits opposite launched an attack, blasting the three Ninthfold Strong back.

These bandits were also ferocious; even though some were blasted by the three strong ones, none retreated, stubbornly pushing them back.

Seeing this, Ye Liuyun could only act.

He released Kuailei and Monster Beasts, letting them charge into the surrounding bandits. He also released two clones to strike the bandit leaders; he himself swung his blade at the Flying Boats in the air, and with a few strokes he sliced them in half at the waist. Martial Cultivators inside the Flying Boats who couldn't dodge were instantly annihilated by his blade intent.

The bandit leader was indeed the newly elected gang chief, who recently merged several large gangs, gained support from the dynasty, and immediately began targeting these women, planning to use them for training, then to confront the Demon Race.

But he hadn't expected that the women would receive reinforcements, and that their strength was still so great.

Ye Liuyun's two clones both emerged from the void right beside him; by the time he realized it was too late, the Second Clone immediately released Soul, planting a Slave Seal on him, and the few Martial Cultivator strong ones around him were slashed to death by the First Clone.

These Guiyi Sixth and Guiyi Seventh Layer Martial Cultivators were already very easy for Ye Liuyun to kill, and he had no desire to capture them as prisoners, so he killed them outright.

The Second Clone immediately performed Soul Search on the spot, confirming that he was the new proxy of the Fire Seal Dynasty. So it did not kill him, but kept him to send false information to the Fire Seal Dynasty.

There was no need to keep the others alive; the two clones also began killing them at full force. The bandits were taken by surprise by the sudden emergence of so many strong ones.

Ye Tiandao and his group realized Ye Liuyun was rescuing them, and immediately organized a counterattack, breaking out of the city again; after breaking out, they turned and killed back, together with the Monster Beasts, driving the bandits back into the city and encircling them.

The clones instantly ordered the Monster Beasts to cooperate, herding all bandits into the city, concentrating them for extermination.

Ye Liuyun, using blade intent, slashed the Martial Cultivators fleeing from the Flying Boats one by one. Whether in strength or Spatial Power, those Martial Cultivators were no match for Ye Liuyun and could not even escape.

Ye Liuyun left none alive; he sealed the entire area with Spatial Power, preventing any from escaping, killing anyone who surrendered first, and quickly exterminated all the bandits that had sealed the air.
