Chapter 3133: Discovering the Assassin

The several major forces in the Fire Seal Star System tightly control their own people, and Ye Liuyun wants to control Martial Cultivators to obtain information, so he prepares to start with the City Lord residences and the stationed army Leaders in various places.

He finds that the Fire Seal Dynasty is not particularly concerned with those stationed army Leaders and City Lord residences. As for the other major forces, he can only place watchers around them.

Ye Liuyun orders his First Clone to take the captive Chen Piaoran and two Martial Cultivators from the Chen family, plus a killer from the Fire Seal Dynasty's assassin squad, and rush to the He family and the Chen family, scouting the He family's Mineral Vein planet, then go near the He and Chen families to cultivate his own spies.

Two Magic Flood Dragons and a Demon Race legion both accelerate their cultivation within the First Clone's Space World. The team of women led by Ye Tiandao also accelerates with the First Clone. Even if there is no battle outside, they can spar with the Demon Race legion.

The Second Clone also brings a killer and three strong members of the Xu Dan Sect to the Fan family's herbal medicine planet and the area near the Xu Dan Sect to scout the situation and capture spies. Within the Second Clone's Space World, a Snow Wolf about to transform into a monster and Yu Xiaofeng among five Leaders quietly cultivate.

After they wreak havoc in the Wasteland Sea World, the number of Martial Cultivators has greatly decreased; the three of them then zip out at full speed from the void, avoiding people, so no one notices them.

After leaving the Wasteland Sea World, their first stop is the surrounding planets. Ye Liuyun orders the two clones to skip this area and forge ahead, while he releases a Demon Lion and Chi Lian to follow him for a reconnaissance.

The Demon Lion possesses strong Spatial Power, while Chi Lian can sense the blood qi of nearby people, assisting him in staying alert to surrounding assassins and strong individuals. The Demon Lion also disguises itself as a kitten, cradled by the humanoid-transformed Chi Lian.

The Demon Lion does not wish to become a Monster Beast and has never transformed. In battle it enlarges its body, taking on a Demon Lion form saturated with demon qi; normally it restrains its demon qi and becomes a small cat. The two forms are completely distinct, and it does not worry about being recognized.

The planets Ye Liuyun selects are all cities where he previously acted against stationed armies and City Lord residences. He first inspects them one by one, and in several of the slightly larger cities he discovers Martial Cultivators of the Gui Yi Ninth Layer. These people have restrained their aura and wander around the city.

The Gui Yi Ninth Layer Martial Cultivators appearing around the Wasteland Sea World is quite normal, but once Ye Liuyun fixes his gaze on them, they clearly become aware and appear uneasy.

Moreover, these people have no legitimate business and no fixed residence, staying in taverns and inns. Based on their vigilance and behavior, Ye Liuyun considers them assassins.

Before entering this planet, Ye Liuyun had already located the royal family's assassin squad members. The City Lord and the newly appointed stationed army Leader rarely go out, likely because their prominence hasn't faded and they dare not appear casually, so he first sets his target as a steward of the City Lord residence.

That steward frequently goes out to purchase supplies, also scouting external information, providing an opportunity to strike him and get close to the City Lord—perfectly suitable.

The steward is named Liu Sheng, and he is very close to the City Lord; the royal dynasty's orders are discussed with him, and he is well informed about affairs within the city.

"Given this situation, you don't need to control the City Lord at all!" Xia Tianqiong advises Ye Liuyun.

Ye Liuyun agrees; as long as he can obtain information, controlling a City Lord is of little value. So he simply uses the Slave Seal to control Liu Sheng, letting him continue his own duties, then have him lurk in the City Lord residence to provide information, after which he exits the city directly, preparing to leave.

However, the assassin arranged by the royal family discovers Ye Liuyun. Ye Liuyun enters the city with a maid, already somewhat conspicuous, and turns to leave without doing anything, so he immediately follows. He also produces a Transmission Talisman, notifying the city's guarding soldiers to intercept Ye Liuyun.
