Chapter 3141: Preparing the Transaction
In the Side Courtyard area of the Holy Fire Guild, Ye Liuyun can see through almost every residence with his Golden Pupil, except for a small building in the southwest corner, which has a Formation specifically set up to block detection.
"If that purple‑pupil youth can see through, then he's like me—he can see everything except that small building! The residents here would have no secrets. What is that building, and why is it guarded so tightly?" Ye Liuyun pondered this in his mind.
Ye Liuyun asked a few senior servants outside. Those old servants were indeed helpful; they had already observed the surrounding area and noticed that an Administrator of the Guild had once entered that small building.
Ye Liuyun guessed that this must be a relatively important figure in the Holy Fire Guild, and that the purple‑pupil youth was likely inside that small building. Thus he could see others while others could not see him.
Ye Liuyun instructed the four senior servants to take turns monitoring the small building continuously, while he returned to the Second Clone's Space World, not wanting the purple‑pupil youth to see him.
He also gathered the strong ones in his own and the Second Clone's hands, putting them on standby for combat, just in case.
Ye Liuyun had originally planned to stay in the Royal City for a month to capture more scouts, but now, seeing the risk of his identity being exposed, it seemed better to leave early.
Ye Liuyun did not waste time and resumed cultivation. Recently his Soul, bloodline, and Physical Body had all improved considerably, needing proper refinement before further advancement, so his focus and that of his two clones was on refining the Divine Core.
Spatial Power, Heaven and Earth Power, and Time Power also required practice, but realms are the foundation. His current realm was still insufficient, so he needed to seize time to advance.
Fortunately, he was now refining the Divine Core, which progresses much faster than the Mysterious Origin; otherwise breaking through the First Realm would be much slower.
Aside from Monster Beasts and the Demon Race, everyone else around him could no longer keep up with his cultivation speed. Only Ye Tiandao, relying on the rise of his sword intent, could barely keep pace with Ye Liuyun.
Ye Liuyun had never considered that the issue might lie in the cultivation method, but since he practiced the Supreme Divine Core technique, he realized that even upon reaching the Domination and Unification realms, there remained great room for improvement in the method.
Therefore, when he emerged the next day, he had Qingyu take him to the Guild to select some cultivation methods and high‑end resources.
Unfortunately, the methods here were the same; none could accelerate cultivation like the Supreme Divine Core. Ye Liuyun thought that if such a superior method existed, it was probably held by the great powers.
He immediately asked the Celestial Fire Ancestor, Wu Xiang, and the Alchemist of Xu Dan Sect; the answer was the same—none of their families or sects possessed such a method.
Only the Celestial Fire Ancestor told Ye Liuyun that the Royal Family might have that method, but judging by their own cultivation speed, they didn't seem much faster than others. Previously, the Ancestor had assumed the princes cultivated quickly merely because of the Royal Family's resources.
However, after Ye Liuyun mentioned it, they thought the Royal Family might indeed have the method, though not every prince would have the chance to learn it, since not all princes cultivate faster than ordinary people.
Moreover, the Celestial Fire Ancestor reminded Ye Liuyun that the Huo Yin Star System had not produced any strong ones of the Taixu realm.
This startled Ye Liuyun. He also thought that aside from the Dragon Clan's Long Tao, he had never seen a Taixu‑realm strong one, and Long Tao's realm was continuously declining.
"Do you suspect there's suppression here?" Ye Liuyun asked the Celestial Fire Ancestor.
"I think so!" he replied, not entirely sure, just his own feeling.
But Ye Liuyun reconsidered, thinking that since his Soul could break through, perhaps his realm could too. Yet, with no definitive conclusion, he could only set it aside for now and get through the current obstacle.
The Guild's Administrator was introducing Ye Liuyun to some high‑end resources of lightning, flame, and ice attributes. Although Ye Liuyun needed them, he suddenly worried the Holy Fire Guild was deliberately testing him. These forces were basically those he
they had used before..
So he showed no interest in those elemental forces, only inquiring about special resources that could enhance his Soul, bloodline, and Physical Body.
The Administrator said little, merely presenting more resources per his request. Yet Ye Liuyun found them rather ordinary. He purchased some of these resources, suitable for women who rarely join battles and for Yu Xiaofeng and others.
"What about pills and treasures? Doesn't Young Master Li need them?" the Administrator probed Ye Liuyun.
Ye Liuyun replied evenly, "I don't usually need those things; a Flying Boat is enough. I'll buy pills when I break through a great realm, that will be fine."
"What weapon does Young Master Li use?" the Administrator casually asked Ye Liuyun, seeming only to try to sell him more items.
"I use a spear! But I think my weapon is sufficient; I can't unleash its power with overly high‑grade weapons."
Having asked all he needed to know, Ye Liuyun lost interest in further dealing with him, stood up and left. The Administrator could do nothing but see him out of the Guild.
After leaving the Guild, Ye Liuyun didn't wander elsewhere; he went straight back to his residence, saying he was returning to cultivate.
Qingyu thought he was going to refine the resources he had just bought, and immediately accompanied him back to cultivate.
Later that day, Ye Liuyun suddenly told Qingyu to find the Administrator and prepare a transaction.
"My guards have arrived at the Royal City and will be here soon. Have the Administrator ready the resources I need; after we examine the Magic Flood Dragon, we can complete the deal!"
"Huh? They arrived that quickly?" Qingyu hadn't expected Ye Liuyun's guards to be so swift.
"Yes, they borrowed light from a friend of mine and rode a faster Flying Boat." Ye Liuyun said little else and immediately told Qingyu to summon the Administrator.
The Administrator, upon receiving the message, promptly took out a Transmission Talisman to report to Jiang Yunmo, then rushed with Qingyu to the small building in the residential area.
Ye Liuyun's Divine Sense detected them, making him a bit nervous. Qingyu wasn't worried; she had no related memories. The Administrator also gleaned nothing, only uncertain how the Royal Family would treat him.
His Divine Sense continued monitoring the Formation for changes, fearing the Royal Family might seal him here. Yet soon the Administrator and Qingyu emerged from the small building and went their separate ways. Qingyu returned to tell Ye Liuyun that the Administrator had already prepared the resources.
Ye Liuyun knew she had a contract in her Sea of Consciousness, and he couldn't discover whom Qingyu had met or what was said, so he didn't use his Soul's Red Eye to interrogate her; instead he had her go outside the Guild to bring the two guards in.
