Chapter 3320: Dead Star System

The Death Legion initially thought the zombies were too few, not enough for them to practice on. But later they discovered that the zombies across the entire planet were gathering toward them.

Many zombies burst out from hidden caves and from beneath the ground, and their numbers kept increasing; soon they would need to devote their full effort to deal with them in order to maintain the army's advance speed.

Most of these zombies are at the Guiyi initial stage or lower; their cultivation level looks low, but their physical bodies are very sturdy. Even the Death Legion's soldiers need to be at least one realm higher than the zombies to handle them. Otherwise, against zombies of the same level, they cannot kill them, only barely contend.

The zombies let out wailing roars, surging toward them from all directions; presumably they saw food and got excited.

Ye Liuyun also took the chance to unleash the Sealing Demon Tablet. The Sealing Demon Tablet hadn't had a chance to absorb energy for a long time; these zombies were perfect for it to feed on, otherwise even the Demon Race would disdain the zombies' energy as unabsorbable.

The Sealing Demon Tablet eagerly surged forward, targeting high-level zombies for annihilation, and simultaneously crushing and draining the surrounding zombies.

Ye Liuyun sensed the zombies' Divine Soul Power and found that they were indeed dead things, with only faint Divine Sense fluctuations.

He also released his Soul to rush into some zombies' Sea of Consciousness as a test, easily erasing their Divine Sense. He also tried a Soul Search on the zombies, but aside from learning that this star system is called Death Star System, he found no other information.

"Death Star System? No wonder there isn't a single living being here!"

Ye Liuyun also didn't know what other dangers lay here, so he could only wait until they appeared. Yet for a whole star system to have no living people while the Primordial Power remains, it alone shows how dangerous the place is—ordinary Martial Cultivators couldn't handle it.

These zombies have lost all consciousness, knowing only simple killing and bloodlust.

They only know how to dodge threats; as soon as Ye Liuyun restrains his power, they pounce again.

So he merely reminded the soldiers, telling them that in emergencies they could launch a Spiritual Soul Attack to survive, then he practiced Heaven and Earth Power, swatting at the charging zombies.

The soldiers didn't arbitrarily launch Spiritual Soul Attacks. Such practice targets were rare for them, so they naturally wouldn't waste them.

After a while, the outermost batch of soldiers retreated to the middle of the formation to rest, and another batch took their place to practice. The zombies here seemed endless, still flooding toward them.

The Demon Slaying Sword grew more vigorous with each kill; a single horizontal slash could cleave a large area, causing the soldiers behind Ye Liuyun to dodge it. The two clones were the same, with no soldiers around them.

The Sealing Demon Tablet had already run off to a distance to preemptively slay higher-level Corpse Demons; wherever their army passed, zombie corpses littered the ground.

Ye Liuyun again released the Magic Vine, letting it stay hidden underground, scavenging corpses with the army without needing to act.

They slaughtered zombies continuously for two days; the soldiers had already rotated three times. The zombies' levels gradually rose, making the Death Legion's task increasingly arduous, so the soldiers began forming three-person squads to kill zombies together.

At this point Ye Liuyun issued the order: "Expand the formation outward, leave a gap in the middle for the Demon Race army, and rotate the Demon Race army out for practice!"

So the soldiers cooperated to sweep a circle outward, leaving a gap in the middle for the Demon Race; the First Clone released the Demon Race army. Then the Demon Race army dispersed, the Death Legion contracted, and the two sides swapped positions.

He then had the Second Clone withdraw the Death Legion, letting them rest before preparing to fight again on the next planet.

Ye Liuyun also retrieved the Demon Slaying Sword, wielding it to continue slashing higher-level zombies.

The two Demon Race armies, having eaten and drunk during this period and possessing high realms, faced the current Guiyi Third Layer zombies without needing True Essence; their physical bodies alone could kill those zombies outright.

It wasn't until a day later, when the zombies' levels rose, that they began to fight seriously.

Three days later, the Demon Race army also felt the pressure, but they had already slain their way to the valley Ye Liuyun had seen earlier.

At the mouth of that valley, no Corpse Demon dared approach, likely because something dangerous inside made them wary.

Ye Liuyun released the Monster Beasts around him, letting them guard the perimeter of the Demon Race army, protecting them as they reached the valley mouth, while the First Clone withdrew the Demon Race army back to the Space World.

The Monster Beasts also began excitedly slaying the zombies, perfect for practice. Ye Liuyun wasn't in a hurry to enter the valley; he and his clone waited at the valley mouth, letting them fight to their fill while keeping watch for danger.

The Monster Beasts fought for a day, exhausting all Storage Yuan Stones; the external zombies grew increasingly scarce, suggesting the planet's zombies were being depleted. Even the Sealing Demon Tablet chased after the last few zombies and returned.

Only then did Ye Liuyun pull the Monster Beasts back into the Space World, letting them return to recover True Essence. He and his clone fully exerted sword intent, slashing the remaining zombies and completely clearing the outside zombies.

The Magic Vine had already absorbed enough, having collected many zombie corpses and handed them to the Sealing Demon Tablet, piling them for direct absorption, then returned to Ye Liuyun's Space World to sleep.

After the Sealing Demon Tablet absorbed all the zombies, its strength surged dramatically; Ye Liuyun saw the force of its final impact and noted it now possessed the power to battle Guiyi Sixth Layer monsters.

These zombies were rather dim‑witted; once they sensed its pressure, they dared not move, so it could crush higher-level zombies each time simply by its own weight and bulk.

Ye Liuyun also didn't retrieve it, but carried it into the valley. The valley was dead and stagnant, likely still harboring zombies, so he let it absorb as much as it wanted.

But the Sealing Demon Tablet, upon entering the valley, ran straight toward the bottom, its discovery unknown. Ye Liuyun worried it might encounter an evil entity it couldn't handle, yet it ignored his summons.

"That guy!" Ye Liuyun sighed helplessly, letting it go.
