Chapter 335: Deadly Tentacles

But when he went to harvest the octopus's corpse, the body remained dead yet unrigid, and a single tentacle swung toward Ye Liuyun.

Ye Liuyun instantly slipped into the void, but the octopus's tentacle instantly yanked him back out.

Ye Liuyun shouted, immediately releasing a Skeleton Puppet, ordering it to cut off those tentacles.

He then employed Lingkong Art to evade the tentacle attacks. He also produced a Nine Dragons Mountain-flipping Seal for defense, but the Mountain-flipping Seal could not block the tentacle strikes and was knocked away in an instant.

Ye Liuyun had to repeatedly recall the Mountain-flipping Seal to defend again. Fortunately the monster's Soul was destroyed; otherwise the tentacles would have seized the Seal.

The Skeleton Puppet circled the Dao xu, cutting half a round and severing those tentacles. Yet the remaining tentacles continued to assault Ye Liuyun.

A moment of inattention caused a tentacle to strike his calf, snapping the leg bone and flinging him several zhang away. Then more tentacles kept striking at him.

He tried to slip into the void, but was blasted out again. With no choice, he rolled on the ground, dodging the blows, looking extremely disheveled.

"When I chop off all your tentacles, I'll be the first to roast you and eat you!" Ye Liuyun cursed bitterly.

His bloodline and Physical Body have reached Spirit Grade, so his wounds healed quickly. He could stand up immediately to evade attacks.

"These tentacles have no eyes; how can they locate me?" Ye Liuyun couldn't fathom how they locked onto him, so he just tried to dodge as much as possible.

Nevertheless he was struck twice more: one hit his back, breaking several bones; the other hit his thigh, leaving him able to hop on only one leg.

Thanks to the Skeleton Puppet's speed, it rushed over and cut off all the tentacles, rescuing him.

Ye Liuyun was so exhausted he lay flat on the Dao xu, panting continuously.

The Skeleton Puppet then extracted the underwater octopus's core pills, collected the tentacles, and handed everything to Ye Liuyun.

Ye Liuyun took the Thousand-legged Octopus's core pills and began refining them.

"You hit me! I'll refine your core pills right now!"

Ye Liuyun said helplessly. This was the only way he could take revenge.

His injuries were severe, but recovery was swift; he sat up and restored his True Essence. After the True Essence recovered, he summoned Lei Ming and others, and began roasting the octopus meat to eat.

Watching the Skeleton Puppet clash with the monster, Ye Liuyun used Spiritual Soul Attack to aid the Puppet. Just as he annihilated the Thousand-legged Octopus's Soul, a tentacle suddenly coiled around it, dragging it to the seabed.

The Skeleton Puppet hurried over, cleaving the tentacle with an axe, then proceeded to chop the other tentacles. It perhaps thought that cutting them off would solve the problem!

In that instant, the tentacle squeezed Ye Liuyun, his bones cracking, and several ribs snapped.

Ye Liuyun caught his breath, then immediately another tentacle yanked him, shaking him out of the void.

He gritted his teeth against the excruciating rib pain, dodging the tentacle attacks. Fortunately the Skeleton Puppet moved swiftly this time, cutting off all the tentacles.

With a single move, Ye Liuyun gathered all the tentacles. The Skeleton Puppet also extracted the core pills. This time Ye Liuyun dared not linger; he let the Skeleton Puppet carry him swiftly away from the Dao xu. Who knows if any relatives of the monster remain nearby!

After running far, his Physical Body's injuries healed. Ye Liuyun then retrieved the Skeleton Puppet, letting Wu Qingcheng refill it with Spirit Stone.

Now the Skeleton Puppet is his sole reliance in this Secret Realm! It must be fully energized, ready for combat at any moment.

Thus he couldn't hear what the Sea Demons were studying, but evidently they were watching the seabed.

While pondering what lay on the seabed, a water column surged, blasting him out of the void.
