Chapter 3420: Heroic Rescue

Zhao Yuanpei had already conveyed Ye Liuyun's appearance via Transmission Talisman to Zhao Yu'an. Song Qingyun compared, seeing the clothing and looks were similar, and immediately ordered the remaining guards to act.

The guards beside him rushed out of the Formation Plate, and the Taixu Seventh Layer Yin Soul let out a howl, charging with the surrounding Yin Souls and intercepting them.

The Yin Souls seized the chance to surge into the guards' Sea of Consciousness, engaging their Souls in a great battle. Because the Yin Souls were numerous and held absolute superiority, the guards' Souls were quickly annihilated one after another, and their bodies fell to the ground.

When Song Qingyun saw the guards intercepted, he immediately released his own Soul, charging into Ye Liuyun's Sea of Consciousness. His Soul consisted of one that had already been refined into a soul source, and another that was still a relatively large Soul.

But Ye Liuyun remained unmoved, merely instructing the Taixu Seventh Layer Yin Soul to keep these people's Storage Rings and bodies.

Song Qingyun's body immediately fell within the Formation Plate, lifeless. Ye Liuyun had already pulled his soul source and Soul into the Soul Refining Cauldron for refinement.

The Yin Soul was contemplating whether to rescue Ye Liuyun, was dazed, then heard Ye Liuyun speak and realized he was fine, let out a howl, alerted the other Yin Souls, and led Ye Liuyun toward the valley bottom shrouded in Yin Qi.

"Please, Young Master, rescue me! I, the modest Miss Chen Yueying, am immensely grateful and will surely repay you!"

At that moment, the woman transmitted a voice to Ye Liuyun pleading for help.

Ye Liuyun thought for a moment, feeling that the woman seemed able to see through his Thousand Illusion Technique, yet she did not expose him, leaving its meaning unclear.

Regardless, he decided to assess the situation first; if he could help, he would, so he replied: "Stay still inside the Formation Plate; wait until I have fully subjugated these Yin Souls before we speak!"

"Thank you! I will strictly follow the Young Master's orders!" Chen Yueying immediately thanked Ye Liuyun.

Then Ye Liuyun followed that Yin Soul toward the valley bottom.

At the valley bottom, he saw several women's Yin Souls, originally of the Taixu Sixth and Seventh Layers, but now they were very dim, likely to dissipate soon.

"Lord of the Underworld, grant us mercy and save our lives!"

Those women all performed a bow to Ye Liuyun, pleading for rescue. Even the Yin Soul that had brought Ye Liuyun in knelt before him again.

and begged.

Ye Liuyun did not hesitate; he immediately summoned Zhuge Feiyu, used a soul barrier to first capture them, and then inquired about the situation here.

It turned out they were originally local Martial Cultivators of this Xingqiu, but this place had once been wiped out by troops sent by the God King. After death, their Yin Souls hid here, intending to guard the planet, yet now their strength had waned, and they were on the brink of collapse.

The Yin Souls here, whether human or ferocious beast, are their own kin and pets, so they cannot bear to devour others to strengthen themselves; they can only wait for death here.

The bottom of this canyon is the Primordial Power of this Xingqiu; Ye Liuyun can directly refine this Primordial Power and extract the entire planet.

"There are quite a few Yin Souls nearby; why not take the opportunity to absorb more? Once you reach here, the Underworld Gate can be opened immediately," Zhuge Feiyu suggested to Ye Liuyun.

"Fine, then first draw these Yin Souls into the soul barrier, letting them help deter the subsequent Yin Souls that come. I will also go handle those Martial Cultivators and the Cang Yuan."

Ye Liuyun immediately agreed, feeling this was an opportunity to open a passage to the Underworld and strengthen the Underworld Yin Souls.

Thus he once again led the Taixu Seventh Layer Yin Soul back.

The Yin Soul let out a howl, notifying all Yin Souls to enter Zhuge Feiyu's soul barrier.

Ye Liuyun arrived outside Chen Yueying's Formation Plate and said, "Come out, it's safe here!"

"Thank you! I still don't know how to address my benefactor?"

Chen Yueying immediately stood, led the group out of the Formation Plate, and thanked Ye Liuyun.

At the same time she transmitted a voice to Ye Liuyun: "Young Master, why do you not reveal your true face? If you have difficulties, I can help. I am an inner disciple of the Qianling Sect."

Ye Liuyun heard this and was startled; could Chen Yueying have discovered his original appearance?

"How did you know?" Ye Liuyun transmitted a voice to her, asking.

Chen Yueying, upon hearing, removed a Defense Artifact hanging around her neck. Ye Liuyun's Golden Pupil then saw that her Soul also bore a pair of Red Eyes, likely allowing her to see his Soul's appearance.

"It seems the Taixu World still has many talented individuals!"

Ye Liuyun sighed inwardly, nodded, and admitted

saying, "Indeed. I truly cannot reveal my identity, and I also ask Miss Chen to keep it secret for me."

"You really killed Zhao Yuanpei; you hide your appearance for fear of being discovered by the Marquis's household?" Chen Yueying asked curiously.

Ye Liuyun nodded in acknowledgment and also explained why he killed Zhao Yuanpei.

"I see. I've long heard Zhao Yuanpei was idle, but didn't expect him to be so despicable. Yet Young Master Ye, your strength is so great, why are you only a minor Leader in the army?"

"I have just come from the Underworld to the Taixu World, only three months ago; joining the army was merely to find a foothold, to give myself an identity..."

Ye Liuyun had not finished speaking when the Cang Yuan opposite, seeing the Yin Souls captured into the soul barrier, and the humans showing little movement, grew restless, began to approach, seeking to seize the Primordial Power.

Zhuge Feiyu immediately shook the soul barrier, releasing the Yin Souls again, and once more deterred those Cang Yuan.

However, those Cang Yuan were still unwilling to retreat immediately.

"These are all your subordinates?" Ye Liuyun asked Chen Yueying.

Chen Yueying immediately understood; Ye Liuyun was worried about information leaking, and she promptly pleaded with him.

"They are all guards I hired. Though hired, they do not know your true appearance, and you have no need to harm them; at worst you could erase their memories and let them go!"

Chen Yueying could see how strong Ye Liuyun's Divine Soul Power was, so she thought Ye Liuyun had no need to kill these people.

These people had been very disciplined along the way and fought desperately for her; she did not want them to be implicated.

"Very well! We'll discuss later; first let's deal with these Cang Yuan!"

Ye Liuyun gave a brief assent and then began summoning the Underworld Gate.

The entire sky dimmed, and the dense aura of death resurfaced; the Underworld Gate began to flicker into view piece by piece.

Then the gate opened, and the Asura led an army of ten million Yin Souls out, guarding both sides of the gate to maintain order. Bai Su, meanwhile, brought the Zhenhun Mountain to guard the inner side of the Underworld Gate, preventing powerful Yin Souls from causing trouble.

Zhuge Feiyu also stood at the gate with the newly subjugated Yin Souls; when encountering a powerful Yin Soul, he would pass a soul barrier over it, ensuring the Underworld's safety.
