Chapter 3440: Forced to Fight

"Alright then, be careful on your own; if it doesn't work, don't force it!" Chen Yueying told Ye Liuyun, then stepped back.

She guessed that Ye Liuyun, using Bloodline Power together with other forces, shouldn't suffer a huge loss. Resources here are scarce; if Ye Liuyun doesn't take the chance to practice more, the trip would be in vain.

But that Black Flood Dragon was clever, thinking Ye Liuyun was bait, so it didn't fall for it and stayed hidden, refusing to come out and fight.

"You think hiding underwater means I can't fight you!"

Ye Liuyun waited a moment, and when the Black Flood Dragon didn't emerge, he released two golden dragon Kuailei into the black pool. He himself rode on the back of a golden dragon, entered the water to fight the Black Flood Dragon.

The black water could normally obscure vision, but under Ye Liuyun's Golden Pupil it was barely affected, so the Black Flood Dragon's intended ambush was detected early; both golden dragons rushed forward, entangling it, and Ye Liuyun solidly slashed it with a single strike. Full content

The Black Flood Dragon's ambush failed, and instead Ye Liuyun ambushed it, cutting its neck with a slash that spurted blood. That slash employed Heaven and Earth Power and Spatial Power, and also infused a portion of Divine Core, so the Black Flood Dragon was seriously wounded.

Moreover, Ye Liuyun's Bloodline Power prevented the Black Flood Dragon from fully manifesting its strength, masking the power of its fifth realm.

The Black Flood Dragon, seeing the unfavorable situation, immediately yielded to Ye Liuyun.

It used Transmission Voice to tell Ye Liuyun that it possessed many human Storage Rings, each containing abundant cultivation resources, and it could hand all those resources to Ye Liuyun. Those Storage Rings had been stored in the Space World, so even if Ye Liuyun killed it, he could not obtain the resources.

It originally intended to use the chance to threaten Ye Liuyun, preventing him from killing it. But Ye Liuyun merely smiled indifferently and kept swinging his sword at it. The two golden dragon Kuailei also tightly bound it, giving it no chance to escape.

As long as he knew the Black Flood Dragon had resources, that was enough; after fighting enough, he could use Divine Soul Power to control it, so he never stopped.

The Black Flood Dragon, seeing that yielding was useless, immediately could only fight Ye Liuyun desperately. It was forced into a corner; although Ye Liuyun's realm was not high, the Demon Slaying Sword was exceedingly sharp, its blade intent strong, and with the two golden dragon Kuailei

constraining its actions, if it did not strike back, it would soon be slain by Ye Liuyun.

Though Ye Liuyun was significantly affected by the water, the aid of the two golden dragons allowed him to match the Black Flood Dragon evenly.

In the end, the Black Flood Dragon, helpless, could only flee, even abandoning its own lair.

Yet Ye Liuyun pursued out of the black pool, letting the golden dragon Kuailei block the Black Flood Dragon's path, and engaged it in close combat again.

Previously they fought underwater, and Chen Yueying could only see the surface ripples, unable to discern the situation; now that they fought above water, it was easier for her to see Ye Liuyun.

Ye Liuyun again entered a frenzy mode; even when the Black Flood Dragon flung him away, he immediately rushed back, swinging his sword to slash.

She could clearly see that Ye Liuyun's Physical Body had indeed become much stronger. At least this Taixu fifth‑realm dragon could no longer wound him.

Although the dragon's realm might be suppressed by Ye Liuyun's Bloodline Power, Ye Liuyun now at least matches this realm's Martial Cultivator; his Physical Body is sufficiently strong.

"Looks like we can't blame him for spending the resources; the effect is indeed obvious!" Chen Yueying continued thinking about Ye Liuyun's rapid consumption.

On Ye Liuyun's side, the fight grew more intense. Though the Black Flood Dragon's injuries increased, it fought more desperately.

But after half a day of struggling, it realized it could not kill Ye Liuyun; watching its True Essence nearly exhausted, and Ye Liuyun still not satisfied, it finally could only collapse to the ground and surrender to Ye Liuyun.

"I'll give you all the resources; if you spare my life, I'll acknowledge you as my master!" The Black Flood Dragon, beaten by Ye Liuyun to the point of losing its temper, had been slashed over thirty times, its blood nearly glowing.

However, Ye Liuyun directly released his Soul Source, surged into its Sea of Consciousness, planted a Slave Seal, and performed Soul Search to learn exactly how many resources it held.

As a result, his investigation revealed that the Black Flood Dragon truly hadn't deceived him. It had recently devoured a wealthy heir, gaining a massive amount of cultivation resources, which had raised its realm.

It was precisely for this reason that the heir's family was willing to fund a mission, hiring people to slay the Black Flood Dragon.

Yet the Black Flood Dragon is not blameless; it has often devoured humans, even wiping out an entire village, and indeed deserves death.

"

"Hand over all the resources you have!" Ye Liuyun, ignoring its many pleas, forced it to hand over all the resources.

The Black Flood Dragon, from its own Space World, produced more than thirty Storage Rings.

"That's quite a lot, and there are even six Taixu World Primordial Powers!" Ye Liuyun was pleasantly surprised.

It wasn't just Primordial Power; there were also many Divine Crystals. Additionally, there were numerous Monster Beast corpses and core pills, all cultivation resources the Black Flood Dragon had hoarded, perfect for the Monster Beasts to cultivate with.

After collecting the resources, Ye Liuyun sliced off the Black Flood Dragon's head with a single strike, prepared to return to deliver the mission, and gave its Physical Body to Long Nv as a cultivation resource.

He did not conceal those cultivation resources, and again presented them to be shared among the group.

But the others declined, claiming they had done nothing and shouldn't always profit from Ye Liuyun; finally, reluctantly, Ye Liuyun gathered the resources back.

"Shall we return to the Sect, exchange some resources, and then take on some harder missions?" Ye Liuyun immediately asked Chen Yueying.

In this battle Ye Liuyun shed his gilded armor, honing his Physical Body. Though he had no serious injuries, there were still many scratches. He paid them no mind and was ready to set out immediately.

"Alright. But don't you need to rest?" Chen Yueying asked concernedly.

"No need. I'm fine, don't worry!" Ye Liuyun said, and his wounds were visibly healing at a rapid pace.

Thus Chen Yueying said no more, and immediately led them back to the Thousand Spirits Sect.

On the way, Ye Liuyun directly absorbed and refined a Taixu World Primordial Power, fully replenishing his Divine Core.

After arriving at the Sect, Ye Liuyun exchanged for a hundred doses of tempering liquid for backup. Then he followed Chen Yueying to take on a few more difficult missions.

This time, Liao Yaotian and the others no longer accompanied the two of them; instead they stayed in the academy to improve their techniques first, then cultivated to raise their realms.

Ye Liuyun and Chen Yueying did not return to their quarters; they left the Sect immediately, hurrying to the mission's target location.

But they had not been gone long before the Transmission Talisman received a message from Liao Yaotian, saying someone had opened the door. Fortunately, their residence had a Formation, so those people could not get in for the time being.
