Chapter 347: Family Invitation

Soon, the Qi family sent an Elder of the Heavenly Gang First Realm, accompanied by a few disciples, to seek them out.

But Ye Liuyun and his group were using treasure that shields realms and aura, so no one's realm could be discerned. Only Qiong Qi displayed a Heavenly Gang Second Realm.

After he entered, he scanned the room and finally fixed his gaze on Ye Liuyun. Seeing a master by his side, the Elder dared not act directly, thinking to first trick them back to the Qi family.

So he omitted the matter of the slain disciples and, with a forced smile, said to Ye Liuyun, "I am Elder Qi Hao of the Qi family, and is this Young Master Ye, Ye Liuyun?"

Ye Liuyun said while eating, "It's me. Your Qi family always comes looking for me; what business do you have?"

"We heard Young Master Ye just emerged from the Sea Emperor Secret Realm. Coincidentally, our Qi family also has an Elder and disciples inside that Secret Realm, so our Clan Chief wishes to invite you to our residence for a chat, to learn about the situation inside the Secret Realm."

Elder Qi Hao spoke very politely.

Ye Liuyun replied with some embarrassment, "I see! But we just ordered food and haven't eaten much yet!"

Qi Hao laughed again, "No problem, I'll foot the bill. When you come to the Qi family, we will certainly treat you lavishly; the food will surely be better than here."

Ye Liuyun readily agreed, "Very well. Since Elder Qi extends such a generous invitation, we shall not be impolite."

As he said so, he had a servant pack the uneaten dishes into the Storage Ring.

Ye Liuyun's party ordered more than five hundred dishes. Seeing this, Elder Qi Hao's flesh ached, and he cursed inwardly, "When we return to the Qi family, we'll capture you and strip all your valuables."

Everyone who saw Qi Hao's gluttonous demeanor laughed silently to themselves.

They followed Qi Hao out of Qichen County City, heading toward the Qi family, but midway they were intercepted by another clan.

Ye Liuyun and his group remained silent, leaving everything to Qi Hao, while silently noting each of those families.

The Qi family was indeed a major power locally; most families dared not oppose Qi Hao. Two slightly stronger families argued briefly but did not fight, merely reported the incident to their clans and then let Qi Hao take Ye Liuyun and his party away.

But the news that Ye Liuyun had been taken to the Qi family spread instantly.

Ye Liuyun and his companions were brought into the Qi family council Grand Hall, where the Clan Chief and several Elders were already waiting.

"You are Ye Liuyun?" the Qi family Elder asked Ye Liuyun, but his gaze was on Qiong Qi.

"It's me. Thanks to the Clan Chief for inviting us; I've been worried about having no place to stay these days!" Ye Liuyun said with a grin, and without waiting for an invitation, he plopped down carelessly.

The Clan Chief and several Elders frowned upon seeing this and all looked at Qi Hao.

Qi Hao barked loudly, "Ye Liuyun, do you really think you're a guest? Can't you look in a mirror and see your own status…"

Seeing this, Ye Liuyun grew tired of pretenses and immediately released the Skeleton Puppet.

A sudden silence fell over the Grand Hall.

"What did you just say?" Ye Liuyun asked with a smiling squint, then turned to the Clan Chief. "Chief, is this elder of yours mentally ill? He was just reverently inviting me, now his face has changed."

The Clan Chief saw it was deliberate, but went along, "Yes, yes, yes, Qi Hao's mind is not quite normal! We truly intended to invite Young Master Ye."

Qi Hao, seeing this, lowered his head and dared not speak further! He resented being tricked by Ye Liuyun.

"You… what are you doing? This is my Qi family!" Qi Hao's Soul screamed.

"What am I doing? Killing you! Guess I killed you in front of your Clan Chief; would he dare act against me?" Ye Liuyun's laughter echoed in the Thunder Fire Domain.

Qi Hao was stunned, then immediately fell to his knees pleading for mercy. The strongest ancestor of the Qi family was only at Heavenly Gang Fifth Realm, never able to clash with Ye Liuyun. And Ye Liuyun was a lone wolf. As the saying goes, "barefoot fears no shoes"! Even if they could kill Ye Liuyun, they'd suffer heavy casualties.

He now regretted endlessly; he had brought a disaster star back to the Qi family!

Ye Liuyun let Mingshe eradicate his Soul. Then, with an apologetic smile to the Clan Chief, he said, "Sorry about that, I cured him dead! This guy's illness was severe, and he didn't have many days left anyway!"

The Clan Chief and several Elders were shocked. They hadn't expected Ye Liuyun to be a Soul Cultivator, capable of directly killing a Heavenly Gang First Realm Elder.

The Clan Chief and the remaining Elders immediately communicated via Divine Sense.

"It seems the intel was wrong; the disciples sent to capture Ye Liuyun and Elder Qi Hao all fell by this kid's hand. This kid is certainly not at the Yuan Dan Realm. Moreover, that Heavenly Gang Second Realm elder and the puppet, they could wipe out our Qi family. Besides, we cannot discern others' realms. We cannot force a direct clash!"

Then the Qi family Elder said lightly, "If that's the case, let's leave it be…"

"Don't give up! Elder Qi Hao promised me free access to the Qi family Treasure Vault! He may be dead, but his word cannot be ignored!" Ye Liuyun's face still bore a faint smile as he looked at the Clan Chief.

Then he turned to the Clan Chief. "Chief, this man doesn't know the rules; I dealt with him for you, you won't blame me, will you?"

"You!" The Clan Chief, enraged by Ye Liuyun, was at a loss for words, wanting to strike but unsure.

Ye Liuyun's Golden Pupil then fell on another Elder, who fell silently onto his seat.

"Chief, I'm still waiting for your reply—what about the Treasure Vault?" Ye Liuyun's smile remained, but the Clan Chief and the Elders felt a chill down their spines.

"Just one glance and he's dead! This kid is terrifying! Had we known…"

"Even with all our people, we couldn't match him!"

"If he keeps killing, the Qi family will be finished!"

Several of them exchanged thoughts swiftly via Divine Sense.

Ye Liuyun was unhurried, leisurely waiting for their discussion.

"This matter, I dare not decide; I must consult the Qi family Ancestor!" the Clan Chief told Ye Liuyun.

"Fine! Go ahead!" Ye Liuyun replied generously.

Then the Clan Chief and several Elders rose. The first Elder to stand, however, fell directly to the ground.

The Clan Chief and the remaining two Elders glared angrily at Ye Liuyun.

Ye Liuyun leisurely said, "Chief, you can go yourself; the others stay to entertain. You Qi family people really don't understand hospitality, how can you leave the guest alone!"

Helpless, the Clan Chief let the other two Elders stay, and left the Grand Hall alone.

Ye Liuyun then told one of the Elders, "Go, arrange some wine and dishes; we're hungry! We were just eating when Elder Qi Hao invited us!"

That Elder's eyes blazed with anger, yet he dared not defy.

"You'd better hurry; if you're slow, I'll pour all my qi onto him!" Ye Liuyun said, smiling at the last remaining Elder.

The Elder trembled all over, restless.
